BOARD UPDATES...
OUTDOOR VICE PRESIDENT - TODD NELSON
The MSAA state indoor tournament is in a couple of weeks away, which means that outdoor archery season is just around the corner. We are looking forward to the Great River Archery Club hosting the MSAA state 900 and 50 meter tournaments again this year at the same great location that we shot at Last year. The target 900 round will be June 10th and the 50 meter will be June 11th.

Then July 8th and 9th Rapids archery club will be hosting both the MSAA and MAA state field tournaments at their beautiful range in Andover MN. Archers can shoot either one or both of the tournaments on either Saturday or Sunday. This joint tournament has worked very well for both organizations the past two years.
Our new Modern bow hunter class allows people with slider sights to shoot with people with the same equipment. So bring your hunting buddy with and introduce them to target archery using the same equipment that they hunt with.
Enjoy archery year around!
INDOOR VICE PRESIDENT - PAUL PARSONS
Hey guess what???? MSAA Indoor is just right around the corner. Looking forward to seeing you all there. We had 599 scores turned in from Regionals, so that was exciting. Huge bump from the past couple years. This April, we get to travel to Carlton MN and am excited to shoot at a new place. Huge THANK YOU TO Duluth Archery Club for hosting this event. Also a HUGE THANK YOU to the Regional Hosting Clubs. I sure do appreciate it.
We still need a Hosting site for 2024 MSAA Indoor. I have Redwood Falls Rec Center reserved for 2024 if a Club wants to host it there. I will need to know ASAP to keep the reservation. Again look forward to seeing all of you in April. And big thanks to you all for digging your heels and making this all work. Shoot ‘em up!
RECORDS KEEPER - JAN EKERT
Well, the 2023 Regionals have been shot noting that we have 35 New records with a total of 599 scores shot. I have issued all of the Record awards and will have them available for pick up at the Indoor in Carlton. I also have additional records from previous years and shoots that have not been claimed. Please check with me at the Indoor so you can pick them up. The records should be updated on the MSAA website for the 2022 shoots and for the 2023 records shot through the Regional. I will have copies of the records for you all to see at the Indoor and throughout the remaining shoots for this upcoming archery season. I have also sent to the MSAA secretary a listing of the record scores for each class and am hopeful that this to will make to the website and to the Indoor. I will bring copies to Carlton. Hope to see many of you there. Jan Ekert, MSAA Recordkeeper
