Thecompany hasbeendeveloping young people throughapprenticeship formorethan10years andmanyformerapprentices have progressed their careerswithinthe companytobecome generalmanagersand assistantmanagersacrossits 1,500pub estate

Lastmonth Marston’sunveiledthe Apprenticeship Chef Academy– aprogramme whichtakes itsapprentices to specially selected,high-qualityvenues where they receiveanengagingand informative, practicalday ofskills training thatcan be transferredback to theirworkplace

Thecompany currentlyhas 280 apprentices, 260inpubsand 20 in our pub supportbusiness,the target numberfor 2022 istohave350 apprentices in learning and450 next year.Celebratingour apprenticesisreallyclose to ourheartsand anumberofcurrent andformerapprentices attended the HospitalityShowcase Eventatthe HouseofCommons earlierthisyear.

The‘Take 5’ programme_originally launched in 2019 –offersstudentsthe opportunitytospend five days learningabout allthe differentaspects of working in apub andexplorethe developmentavailable throughapprenticeships.

This is availabletoyear10and year 11 students in line with theschool workexperienceweeks.Thisyear10 placements have been arranged mand in furniturebythe public over theperiodwehaveseenanincreasein demand forour repair andrestoration services.Adedicated focusoncustomer service, andensuringa smooth customerjourney is vitaltothe success of HomeserveFurniture Repairs.
