Celebrations as students taste success

The Hart School has praised the tenacity of its sixth form students as they move on to their next chapter after collecting exam results this week.

The oversubscribed school in Rugeley is celebrating its latest cohort accepting a range of courses across the UK and securing university places. Other successful students have secured places on Higher Apprenticeships. The school is not only celebrating a 100% pass rate for its Level 3 vocational subjects but a host of notable student successes at A-level too. They include Lieah Elson, Distinction in Health & Social Care, A in Sociology, B in Psychology; Mia Smith, Distinction Health& Social Care, B Psychology, B Sociology; Sophie Oldaker, Distinction Health & Social Care, B Psychology, B Art; and Alicia Astle, with A Maths, B Further Maths and C in Spanish. Renowned for creating a bespoke curriculum for each Sixth Form intake, Hart School is excited to announce that prospective Year 12 students can now take Double Dance Award (equivalent to 2 A-levels). This means students can take a full Performing Arts course from this September. This year saw the highest proportion of UCAS and apprenticeship applications and staff look forward to hearing their success stories, as they start a new chapter. Harleen Grewal achieved an astonishing five A-levels, an A* in Italian, and As in Religious Studies, Economics, Mathematics and a B in History. She will study Law at the University of Birmingham and due to the school partnership and her amazing results, she has been awarded a special grant to support her studies. Mihir Chopra will be attending the University of Liverpool having attained a place on the prestigious veterinary science course. He leaves sixth form with As in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Acting Deputy Headteacher Mr Gittins said: “Our students should be very proud of what they have achieved. They have worked extremely hard, supported one another, and adapted to unprecedented challenges. Their results demonstrate the efforts they have put in and the high-quality teaching by our excellent staff. Congratulations to the A-level students at The Royal School, the majority of whom who have achieved their first-choice universities.

They have excelled in the most rigorous, facilitating subjects, seen to be of greatest value to universities and major employers. The school had some great success in the Level 3 BTEC courses as well as the Level 3 Extended Project (EPQ) course which is highly valued by universities.

A spokesman said: “We are extremely proud of our students and their outcomes and that 30% of pupils achieved at least one A/A* or Distinction/Distinction* in this year’s results. The resilience they and their teachers have shown has been remarkable and they deserve huge credit for their success.” Marius Veiss achieved excellent grades with four A*s and two As and will be attending the London School of Economics. Eden Worley achieved two A*s and two As and will be taking a gap year. Nicholas Kan also achieved two A*s and two As and will be studying Mathematics with Finance at the University of Exeter. Academy delivers impressive grades

The Khalsa Academy is elated to announce the remarkable success of students in this year’s A-level examinations, their impressive performance is a reflection of their resilience and dedication to their studies.

The guidance they receive from the dedicated team of teachers and support staff is second to none and testament to the exceptional teaching environment at TKAW. The Khalsa Academy Wolverhampton is part of The Khalsa Academies Trust. A spokesman said: “We are proud to report a 97 per cent pass rate achieving A*-E, with 12 per cent of students achieving grades A*-A, and 36 per cent achieving grades A*-B. “Overall, 97 per cent of A-level students achieved 3 A*– E grades and 77 per cent of students achieved A* – C Grades, A*– B 42 per cent including 15 per cent of students achieving A* – A. “Overall, 97 per cent of Applied General students achieved Distinction* to Pass and 94 per cent of students achieved Distinction* – Merit grades. Sixth Form students celebrate A-level success St Thomas More Catholic School are delighted to have maintained outcomes in the majority of sixth form subjects. Delight at results as hard work pays off

The King’s CE School is immensely proud of all Year 13 students who received their A-level and BTEC results on Thursday – students have secured places at universities across the UK, as well as higher level apprenticeships and the Royal Air Force.
