Developing resilience and positivity in young children

Resilient Hedgehog is a publisher with a mission. That mission is to create unique materials and resources that help parents develop their children to be the best version of themselves that they can be.

The heart of these resources are children’s books which are carefully crafted, using a very well evidenced concept called mental toughness.

This describes resilience and positivity – two qualities important for success and wellbeing.

Reception children really enjoyed this story and commented on how nice the illustrations were. I thought the story was lovely with a good meaning behind it and also that there were opportunities for language development. The questions on each page were good as a point of discussion as were the questions at the end of the book.
