I’m Ronni the urban rat! Join me on a journey to discover what makes each animal unique! I will lead you through the pages of each book, asking questions, talking to the animals, and encouraging curiosity, with laughs along the way!
by author and illustrator Siski Kalla

Non-fiction wildlife books tailored specifically to children growing up in towns and cities. With lighthearted humour, curriculum-linked science information, and a unique design that allows for a quick read-through or a longer more in-depth exploration.
The books explore the concept of what makes each species unique, covering behaviour, diet, habitat, and detailing actions we can take to help the animals in our neighbourhoods. Teacher guides/classroom activities are included in all hardback books, and are available for download for paperback books, too.

We need to teach the children the old words, words like brabble and grubble, twitter-light and clinkerbell, words which dance, and trip and slip and drip like honey off the tongue.
Can words help us reconnect with the world around us, and give us a sense of belonging? What might happen if we lose certain words forever? These are the themes explored within The Old Words, a poem featuring 21 forgotten words, by Caroline Mellor.
An invitation to explore language, highlighting oracy, and recognition of how the words we choose to use can heal as well as harm, change viewpoints and bring us greater connection and understanding of the world around us.
THIS BOOK INCLUDES:
• Pages for teachers’ or home educators’ use
• Activities based around oracy (KS1 and 2)
• Activities focused on vocabulary and expression (KS2)
