Buddy & Barney is an independent family-owned publishing venture nestled in the picturesque city of Bath. Our enduring passion for the world of books fuels our mission to craft delightful, yet educational literary treasures for young readers across the globe.
We specialise in the design and production of top-tier children’s books and innovative “books-plus” titles that incorporate toys for an enriched reading experience. Every book we create is a labour of love, inspired by our own affection for storytelling, and more importantly, endorsed by the discerning taste of our little chief product testers, Buddy and Barney. If it doesn’t earn their enthusiastic approval, it simply doesn’t make it into production!
SAFETY TESTING
Whilst we have lots of fun writing and designing our books, the safety and quality of our products are non-negotiable priorities. Every step of our product development process involves rigorous adherence to industry-standard testing, as well as thorough play-testing sessions (courtesy of our young experts, Buddy and Barney!).
We implement an exhaustive and meticulous safety policy and procedure for each of our creations. As an international publisher serving clients worldwide, we are fully compliant with the current EU Toy Safety Directive, as well as ASTM and CPSIA standards to cater to our friends in North America. Safety reports are available upon request.
