THE COMPANY M.M. is a company with a 40 years’ experience in the design and production of glass fiber reinforced polyester products, mainly specialized in gratings and structures.

The wide range of products and the engineering services (from feasibility studies to the final detail design) issued from the proper engineering department, allow M.M. to design tailor made solutions for any demand. Ladders, stairways, gangways and structures are dimensioned and built according to the laws in force.

FIBERGLASS REINFORCED POLYESTER – FRP FRP is a composite material made of thermosetting polyester resins and continuous glass fibers as reinforcement. The resin matrix ensures a high resistance to corrosion while the glass fibers confer a high mechanical resistance. The chemical and mechanical characteristics make these products suitable for a wide range of applications. The properties of this material allow these products to be installed in environments where water, corrosive substances and humidity are constantly present and that are unbearable for traditional metal ones. The long-life cycle of these products and the new experimenting recycling possibility of composite materials reduces considerably its proper Carbon Footprint.

ADVANTAGES RESISTANCE TO ATMOSFERIC AGENTS AND U.V. RAYS Ideal for open-air installations. FRP is not affected by the exposure to atmospheric agents and sunrays.

Their specific weight of approximately 1,4 kg/dm3 makes them easy to handle and they do not excessively burden on supports structures.

The resins are thermosetting and therefore if exposed to medium-high temperatures they do not soften.

The high mechanical strength conferred by the glass fibers results more resistant if compared to steel’s weight.

FRP does not conduct electricity
