Eligibility:
Open to all students pursuing full-time graduate/ postgraduate programmes from recognised institutions. Each team shall comprise two students from the same or different institutions.
Registration:
Institutions may nominate more than one team
Last date for Registration: Wednesday, 8th October 2025.
Competition fee per team (two participants):
– For MMA members: ₹2,500/- (inclusive of 18% GST)
– For non-members: ₹3,500/- (inclusive of 18% GST)
Delegate fee to attend the Management Students
Convention is waived for the teams participating in the Scrabble Competition.
Format & Rules:
The competition will be conducted offline at the MMA Management Center, Chennai.
Matches will be played in accordance with standard Scrabble rules, using the Collins Scrabble Dictionary (CSW2024) for word validation
A time limit per game will be enforced to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
The format may follow a knockout or league-cumknockout structure based on the number of teams. Use of mobile phones or electronic devices during the game is strictly prohibited. However, mobile phones can be used as timers
Preliminary Practice Round:
As a prelude to the main competition, MMA will organise a practice preliminary Scrabble round for all registered participants.
This session is designed to familiarise students with the rules, build confidence, and provide match exposure. Details of the practice round will be shared with registered teams well in advance of the main event.
Judging & Prizes:
Judging will be based on standard scoring rules.
In case of a tie, half a point will be shared between the teams
Attractive prizes worth up to ₹20,000/- will be awarded to winners and runners-up.
All shortlisted participants will receive certificates of participation.
Code of Conduct:
All participants are expected to maintain discipline, decorum, and sportsmanlike behaviour.
Any form of malpractice will result in immediate disqualification
The decision of the judges and organisers will be final and binding

Dispute:
The Quiz Master's decision shall be final in all matters pertaining to the results . However, if any individual has any grievance over the conduct of the competition they may submit a written complaint addressed to the President of MADRAS MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION, which shall be routed through the Executive Director.
