The Convention The Annual MMA Women Managers' Convention is a celebration of the spirit of women; and the many diverse roles women play. Each year the theme for the convention has revolved around the evolving roles and needs of women.

The event creates a platform for women across different walks of life, to come together, share their thoughts, opinions, insights and experiences. What binds these women is the urge to excel in their respective fields, be it as business leaders, entrepreneurs, thinkers, artists or policymakers. The focus of the convention is to inspire and guide women to grow in every area of life.

The Platform Each year in March, MMA celebrates International Women’s Day with an Event that offers an opportunity to reflect on progress made, call for change and celebrate acts of courage and determination by women who have played extraordinary roles.

More recently, the burdens on women have become heavier, owing to the pandemic. Millions of people the world over have adjusted to a new normal.

We’ve turned homes into offices and schools, locked in, all while trying to keep a virus at bay, and making sure our families feel safe and supported. If human behavior tells us anything, it’s that Amma, Mama or Mom is handling most of this work.

The result is a non-stop, high-stakes juggling act. Today there is some light at the end of the Covid tunnel, and we are here to explore what awaits! How do we march ahead, rise to the occasion to aspire for greatness.

The Right Here Right Now session is about hearing from young people how they unpack and shift power relations, discussions on leadership, finding your feet and living in the here and now.

Key perspectives on: · Do younger women approach life & work differently when compared to older

generations? · Hard work, ingenuity and the power of networking · Deconstructing the role of money & power in women’s lives

Special Session 1 Our Voices, Our Stories.

Women leaders will share their own stories of challenging norms, breaking barriers and building women’s movements across diverse and complex environments.

Key perspectives on: · Finding joy in the pursuit as in the achievement · Guiding principles and non-negotiables on the route to success · Risking fear and failure to keep learning and growing

Special Session 2 The Power of Us / Better together This session aims to explore the unlimited power of collaboration in driving change and solving challenges. The session will bring together unlikely groups of individuals - women and men, young and old, public and private sectors to drive provocative discussions around women’s role in this changing dynamic.

Key perspectives on: · Our expanding palette of choices · Responsibilities of women leaders in supporting the next generation · Different sensibilities and models to approaching leadership
