
Context and Objectives of the Convention
The past year has seen multiple global events impact growth and economic and energy security Amidst these headwinds, India – with a resilient economy and strong domestic demand – is poised to take on the challenges of subdued global demand and energy self-sufciency With the right moves, India could make the most of the opportunities presented by its young workforce and growing economy, shaping a unique growth story.
With this theme in mind, there will be three special sessions: “Sustainable growth with energy independence”, “Atmanirbhar Bharat to accelerate frontier growth” and an “Execution masterclass as India paves the way towards global leadership”.
Inaugural Session / Valedictory Session
Special session 1: Sustainable growth with Energy Independence
The Global energy mix is changing, and India is in the midst of this transition to green energy Growth though low carbon footprint will be one of the key challenges for India. The Govt is introducing a slew of measures to foster domestic demand (e.g. EV, Renewables etc.) and create global demand for green technology based out of India. The Energy transition will lead to new business opportunities in Sustainable manufacturing, circular economy, waste management, Green Hydrogen etc. Companies will have to reinvent their Operations & Supply chain to adapt to the new paradigm and take measures ensuring growth though low carbon footprint. Join us as the speakers shed light on India’s roadmap towards Energy independence & discuss measures required to achieve Sustainable growth while create value across stakeholders.
Special Session 2: Atmanirbhar Bharat – Accelerating Frontier growth in key sectors (Defence & Aerospace manufacturing, Semicon Manufacturing and GiG economy)
The past 8 years has seen the Indian economy surge from 11th to 5th place leaving behind UK and is set to become 3rd largest by 2027. As India aspires to become a $5 Trillion economy by 2027, contributions from Manufacturing and Service sector will be pivotal to realize the aspiration. The Govt has taken bold steps by opening up Defence and Aerospace manufacturing and launched PLIs to boost Semicon ecosystem in India. The growth in manufacturing sector will require skilled engineers already in short supply and used to the new work model. The need for skilled manpower will be met by new demand-supply based model i.e. GiG economy and Companies will soon have to enter or create their own market place to attract & leverage the best talent.

Special Session 3: Getting it done – What challenges lie ahead to execute a multi-point strategy? How can India mobilize (Human resources, nancial resources and Technology) to achieve aspirations?
Sustainable & inclusive growth will be fuelled by sector wise priority initiatives supported by policy interventions. In addition to policy, sectoral growth will be enabled though 3 key capabilities – Making right talent available, Easy access to affordable technology & Access to Capital. The session will focus on the need to get the enablers right while identifying challenges to implement and institutionalize the capabilities.
