All of us want to be happy. Whether our dreams are about professional success, spiritual fulfilment, a sense of connection, a purpose in life, or love, we covet those things since we believe that they will make us happier. We think, if I just get that raise, or hit that next sales target, I shall be happy, If I can just get that next good grade, I will be happy. If I lose those five pounds, I will be happy and so on. Success comes first, then happiness. The only problem is that this formula is broken. This success-central hypothesis has created a wrong perception of our personal and professional universe. Groundbreaking research in the fields of positive psychology and neuroscience has proven in no uncertain terms that the relationship between success and happiness works the other way around. Thanks to this cutting-edge science, we now know that happiness is the precursor to success, not merely the result. Remaking yourself a happier person and living a flourishing and meaningful life is entirely in your hands, if you are willing to bring to bear some effort and commitment, are ready, and only if you understand how to proceed. Dr Mukesh Jain, a senior IPS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre is a professional with rich administrative experience and brilliant academic background. An alumnus of the Harvard University, IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Delhi, he has the unique distinction of holding various challenging assignments in Central Government & State Government and spearheading and initiative of national importance: Accessible India Campaign. He is presently posted as the Special DG Police in the Police Headquarters, Madhya Pradesh.
Dr Mukesh Jain has authored many books, which includes a book on good governance titled "Excellence in Government: A Blueprint for Reinventing the Government. He is an expert trainer of "Lateral Thinking", and "The Science of happiness".
During studies at the Harvard University and at the IIT Delhi, he has worked extensively on the subject of Positive Psychology.
A multi-lingual and experienced professional with several years of experience in Supply Chain Management, IT enabled transformation programs. Proven track record in managing and delivering large-scale transformation programmes. Expertise in the areas of Strategic Outsourcing Initiatives (SOW), Business Transformation Programmes(BSP) Design & Delivery, Operations Excellence Framework design and implementation, Quality/Organizational excellence and Capability building program across geographies in Manufacturing industry for Fortune 1000 companies. Adept at handling large cross-cultural and cross functional teams.
Currently consulting in the area of supply chain management (SCM), mentoring start-ups and being trustee in a NGO giving back to society.
Currently Founder CEO of a start-up with a FinTech App Azzetta for insuranceTech. He headed the SCM / KPO division in HCL Tech and Process Transformation in BNY Mellon in his earlier corporate work experience spanning 37 years. He worked with consumer electronics retailer in Spain for 7 years before returning back to Indian in 1998. He was associated with MMA and involved in the early digitalization of MMA Mandate Magazine and revamped MMA website between 2000-2003. He is an engineer and MBA from IIMA belonging to PGP1983 batch. He also support education of girl children through his NGO BalBhojan Welfare Foundation Trust approved for CSR Activities.
An IIT Madras, IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, and a National Scholarship recipient, Dr. Asit K Barma received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Madras. In his 33 years of industry and academic career, he played senior leadership roles in the corporates like CMC (formerly IBM & now TCS); Tech Mahindra; Hinduja Tech; Value Labs; and taught at IMT Ghaziabad, Jagdish Sheth School of Management, Bangalore, before joining Bharathidasan Institute of Management as its Director in February 2021. A certified Markstrat instructor, Dr. Asit K Barma, is also a visiting faculty to IIM Kashipur. He worked with Dr. A Parasuraman of the University of Miami to lead the Pan India project to develop the Index of Service Excellence in India (ISEI).
On the board of multiple national and international industry bodies, Prof. Asit has been instrumental in guiding CII, FICCI-Tamil Nadu State Council, NASSCOM, and the Society of Automotive Engineers in preparing key concept notes and policy recommendations. Dr. Asit is a Managing Committee member of India's largest local management body, the Madras Management Association, and he is the Chairperson of its Trichy chapter. He is also a permanent invitee member of the TN Manufacturing Competitiveness Council. He successfully steered BIM Trichy to become the academic partner of the Government of Tamil Nadu to conduct the prestigious TN CM's Fellowship Program. His research agenda includes Technology Readiness, Digital Business & Society, Platform Economy, and Service Excellence. He is a member of the American Marketing Association.
Dr. Asit helped industries reap the benefit of digital technology to create digital commerce, superior customer experiences, stakeholder engagements, and build compelling brands across various industry domains. During his career, Asit has architected the making of several successful corporate brands and received recognition from many global industry analysts.
