Mr.

Sivaraman

has

about

43

years

of

experience

in

various

areas

–

Management

Consultancy,

Materials Management, Personnel & HRD, Manufacturing and General Management. He was the Chief Executive of L&T Demag Plastics Machinery Private Limited before becoming the Vice President (Industrial Machinery) of L&T in 2005. He was later responsible for the creation of L&T’s greenfield Shipyard & Port at Kattupalli near Chennai and retired as Vice President (Special Projects) in April 2011.

He was a participating member of a Research Study by MIT, Boston, USA in association with PMI (Project Management Institute), USA on Engineering Programme Excellence during 2012-13.

He was the Chairman of the Chennai branch of the Indian Institute of Materials Management during 1984-85. He was awarded the Distinguished Membership of the Institute during the year 2001.

He was associated with the Rotary Club of Madras Porur as Charter Secretary and was President of the Club during 1996-97.

O D S RAJ O.D.S. Raj joined Larsen & Toubro in one of its manufacturing units in Chennai, after graduating in Commerce in 1974. Starting as an Accounts Assistant, he rose to the position of a Cost Accountant and served the Company for 16 years.

From 1991 to 2003, he was in Indonesia with an Indian group of Companies manufacturing carpets, trading in chemicals/ textiles and micro-financing as their Financial Head.

After his return to India, he has been working as a Management and Finance Consultant. In December 2019, he was conferred a Doctorate by an American University for his services and contribution to Working Capital Management.

S SURESH BABUJI S. Suresh Babuji is the Director In-Charge of the MSME Development Institute (MSME-DI), Chennai, Ministry of MSME, Government of India (msmedi-chennai.gov.in).

Established in 1954, this Institute takes care of the needs of the MSME sector in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. This is a Government body as well as the Nodal Agency for formulating, coordinating and monitoring the policies and programmes meant for the promotion and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises throughout the country. Chennai is covering 27 Districts in Tamil Nadu from Ariyalur to Virudhunagar.

SURYANARAYANAN Suryanarayanan (Suri) is a consultant in the finance, governance and regulatory space after a 32-year corporate career, 26 of them with the L&T Group. The last decade of his career with L&T spanned leadership

of

the

Accounts,

Compliance,

Information

Technology,

Internal

Audit,

Operations

and

Secretarial functions at their financial services group, over more than a dozen companies present in several financial services businesses including lending, mutual funds and wealth management.

He

has

enjoyed

providing

leadership

during

the

growth-related

transition

and

successfully

representing his organizations before regulators and tax authorities during his corporate career.

Amongst

his

most

memorable

stints

has

been

helming

the

Accounts,

Compliance

&

Secretarial

functions during a sizeable IPO and being a focal contact point for external directors of large entities in the group.

In his leisure time, he is a bibliophile first, with reading interests spread over a wide array of subjects, and relishes being a speaker in programs covering professional topics.

K R SUNDARESAN K.R. Sundaresan, 53, is a graduate in Production Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Finance).

He has 30 years of experience in automotive suppliers like Magal, Rane TRW, Rockman, ICMPL), Engineering (LTM-DEMAG), OEM (General Motors, Ford, Chrysler and Ashok Leyland Nissan) and Hospitality (Absolute Abodes).

During his early career, he has sourced $ 500 million worth parts and services for Ford, North America, Europe, Jaguar and Land Rover, Aston Martin, Volvo and Mazda. Led many JV/Partnership discussions involving Ford with Tata’s and Fiat. He has managed the turnaround of distressed companies. He has been an advisor to many companies like Chrysler India, Ashok Leyland, Industriaplex, USA and Getrag, Germany. He is a unique combination of initially working in well-known Organizations and then start and successfully manage his own small and medium scale industries.

He

is

currently

the

manufacturing

company

Afex

Technologies Pvt. Ltd and a bushings manufacturing company Drill Jig Bushing Company (Madras) Pvt. Ltd. He is also a Director at the precision parts manufacturing company ICMPL.
