INTRODUCTION Children grow into adults as time goes by, but grooming the young minds as responsible citizens of tomorrow, and their transformation into confident young adults, equipped to face the competitive world, is a huge responsibility of parents, teachers and the society. Failure to facilitate this can have grave consequences, affecting the self-esteem as they grow up, and even hampering their professional growth in the long run. With the objective of utilising the summer vacation purposefully, MMA has conceptualised a unique five-day certificate course aimed at overall Personality Enhancement of young students in the age group of 12 to 18 years including exposure to some simple management concepts and modern trends. Their investment of Five Days in this Exercise is bound to reap enormous benefits in years to come.

The Course is designed to identify the hidden talent of young students and bring it to the fore, besides providing them valuable Life Lessons through fun, frolic, and an experiential learning through indulgence. This summer, MMA has re-structured the Growing Big course as an unique programme that is designed to make a definite difference in enhancing the ability of young participants of the programme.

METHODOLOGY: Sessions would be organized in person @ MMA Management Center.

Interactive and Gaming methods would be adopted.

Session will be through discussions, videos, practical and demonstrative activities.

The activities are designed to be simple and fun based such that each participant will learn with fun.

FOR WHOM: The programme is an exclusive summer course designed for students within the age group of 12 to 18 years

CERTIFICATE: At the end of the Programme, Certificates will be awarded to all successful student participants who have attended at least 4 out of 5 Sessions.

DAY 1 23rd May

Goal Setting & Mind Focus

A goal without a plan is only a dream.

In these 180 minutes young champions and leaders learn the purpose of setting goals and working towards it.

Learn S.M.A.R.T goal setting with games, activities and exercises (Goal poster making) Session concludes with a calming meditation which children can practice daily to channelize their energy towards life purposes and goals.

DAY 2 24th May

Robotics

Robots are cool - the world will see more of these in every sphere of life in the next few years.

In one day we may not be able to make WALL. E from a Hollywood movie or Chitti from movie Robot 2.0, but we can still do some pretty fun stuff.

In the robotics class you will be introduced to sensors, motors, batteries, wires and connections that drive these robots.

Let’s join together and construct some awesome robots like soccer bot / light tracking bots and clap robots to name a few.

Scrabble

Why Scrabble?

Scrabble combines math and language in an ingenious way and therefore is an educational tool to enrich students’ learning experience.

Scrabble excellently supplements English language education as a practical tool to reinforce not only vocabulary but also arithmetic skills.

Scrabble can also be pursued as a competitive intellectual sport by those students who have a flair for the English language and are talented.

Scrabble will make students appreciate the depth of the English language and may also inspire a few students to consider taking up linguistics as a subject matter for higher learning.

Scrabble offers an opportunity for the students to consult the English language lexicon as a reference book without any persuasion.

Public Speaking & Mock Parliament

Essentially, public speaking is a presentation given, live before a crowd of people. It can cover a wide range of topics.

The objective of the speech might be to instruct, influence, engage, educate, or entertain the listeners.

Importance of public speaking comes in handy at every important event of our lives.

It is fundamental to learn the art of public speaking to conduct a meeting, address a team, deliver an important message to the relevant audience, or put forth your ideas to a discussion simply.

It is noticed that people feel nervous while addressing the audience or while speaking in public due to Public Speaking anxiety.

Confidence in speech can make or break your image and therefore becomes an essential skill to master. Several career options require public speaking skills as well.

DAY 5 27th May

Paper Sculpture

Pursing Arts and Crafts has the inherent benefits of encouraging a child to exercise flexible thinking, de-stress, explore his or her individual creativity, and enhance learning through fun, the latter of which is the perfect indication of a healthy education system.

This is why it is extremely important for parents to encourage children to take up arts and crafts, and provide positive reinforcements — displaying their artwork around the house or praising the child in front of guests and family members — to motivate them to practise it with increased vigour and enthusiasm. This, in turn, will help advance their academic standing and simultaneously promote their overall welfare.

In this context MMA Growing big presents to you Play with paper a session on Paper Sculpture a module which Stems from both visual thinking creativity and heals the children through colour therapy.
