Objective A few questions for consideration…. How are some companies able to retain valuable employees while others are bleeding with attrition? How are some companies able to be highly innovative while others have become stagnant and complacent? How is that some companies have highly motivated employees while others have highly discouraged and demotivated ones. The answer lies in “ The Supervisor” Think about it… 40 years back people worked for the organization 20 years back people worked for the Job Today people work for the people. There is a tremendous cultural shift. Employees are moving from safety and security to respect and dignity. Without choice employees would opt for a people centred leader than a task centred boss. Gone are the days when people could order from the top and expect subordinates to obey mindlessly. Today’s leadership is more about people and less about work. When you take care of the people the work is taken care of automatically. This generation’s workforce expects someone on whom they can look upon, someone who can be a role model, someone who can guide them at times of crisis, someone who can help them grow along with the growth of the organization, someone who can mentor them, someone who will be a friend, philosopher and someone who can be a mother. Thus, every manager is expected to juggle roles from a being a task master to that of a nurturing parent, if he expects to get the absolute best out of his people to ensure that they remain a valuable asset and contributors towards the prosperity of the organization over the period of time. In this context, MMA and KAS is organizing a one day Workshop.
