GENERAL ADMISSIONAdults $25 Children $5 RED, WHITE & BOURBON PAIRING - $50 (see description below)

American influence on the development of Western music has been vast in many genres, including classical music. As a land of opportunity and a safe haven for immigrants, America attracted such European luminaries as Igor Stravinsky, Arnold Schoenberg, and Paul Hindemith. They established schools of composition leading to an "American" classical music.

Theresa Sanchez and Rachel Ciraldo are again collaborating to present a showcase of music by influential American composers. Joined by special guest conductor, Jay Dean, the program includes a piano quintet by one of the Boston Six, , Appalachian Spring for chamber orchestra by the "Dean of American Composers," , and American Canvas for flute, cello, and piano by Pulitzer Prize and 3-time Grammy winner, .

This multisensory chamber music experience will change the way you define a musical performance. In addition to the Red, White, and Bourbon experience, this program has been carefully crafted to feel intimate yet spectacular.

Martha Ginn, a Texas native, began traditional quilting in about 1984 after a lifetime of sewing, embroidery, and counted cross-stitch. As her quilting skills grew, so did her interest in art and design, and she began to be more bold and innovative with her craft, soon abandoning patterns and templates for creating fiber art pieces which are more decorative than traditional bed quilts

Her work has been seen nationally both in art showings and in print. She is a founding member of Pine Belt Quilters, Mississippi Quilt Association, and Southern Fiber Artists, and is active in Studio Art Quilt Associates, South Mississippi Art Association, and Meistersingers of Hattiesburg, Miss.

Join FestivalSouth for its third annual golf tournament and support our Artie Events for Families and the Mississippi Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, providing for our youngest cultural lovers in the Pine Belt.
