2025 Black Label Sale

OCTOBER 11, 2025 • GRANDVIEW, TEXAS • 1:00 P.M.

Welcome

When I set out to write these welcome letters, I want them to have some depth with industry and life relevance. I want the message to stimulate thought and conversation, encouraging diverse opinions to foster debate. After being married for twenty-two years, I am aware that I am wrong more than right, but I do like to think that my lifetime commitment to the cattle business allows me to be right more often in my opinions or evaluation of cattle in terms of fundamental factors that affect longevity or production of the species that brings us together as an industry. Indeed, there are numerous facets and directions a cattle enthusiast can steer their program towards. Still, the basics that keep a cowherd profitable and functional over time are essentially that basic. It has been proven for generations, well, since the inception of livestock recording, and these basics continue to be more proven with the assistance of advanced record keeping and new technologies as well.

Friends, before we get carried away with industry perspectives, I would be remiss if I didn’t recognize some of the business’s big losses in terms of icons and influencers. Our hearts go out to the Thomas and Pembrook families for their losses. These families lost gentlemen who were sons, husbands, fathers, and, in Troy’s case, a grandfather. Two remarkable leaders who were respected for their ability to promote, market, and evaluate cattle will be greatly missed as they leave a void for now in our business. Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers as we enter the fall sale season, with the holidays not too far away on the horizon.

Maternal strength is something our industry has taken for granted, regardless of breed. My view is that we have overly focused our selection criteria on phenotype or numerical traits, which has led to a sacrifice of maternal ability. Many commercial cow/calf operations across the country would manage better cowherds than most registered programs. The reason is simple: commercial operators must operate more efficiently, and that efficiency stems from cows that can utilize more of the forage and feed available to them. The more self-reliant a cow is, the more profitable she is for her owner. Less supplementation without sacrificing fertility or performance equals profit. In simple terms, a productive female is one that has no foot trouble, calves unassisted, breeds back quickly, can sustain a healthy milk load without losing body condition, and weans a market-ready calf with minimal mechanical input. Realizing that most paid phenotypic evaluators don’t have the ability or care to predict this kind of production, nor do animal breeders have a foolproof equation—without human manipulation— to generate a numerical or predicted index value to demonstrate the basics of beef production and profitability, the fundamental principles become lost. In the effort to raise price points and dollar figures, we have sacrificed so much that true profitability remains locked within the business model. If we don’t start making corrections, the only things left will be backdrop photos or a piece of paper.

This sale series has included operations that have working cowherds with donors that raise a calf annually. Those same cow herds or donor batteries have also maintained a consistent reputation for producing quality cattle of both sexes. The bull lineup in this sale book is a testament to that fact. One of the Simmental breed’s rising stars, KCC1 SWC Harmony 847H, continues to place A.I. quality herdsires annually, as well as competitive built females with afterexhibition investment returns. Megan Brown invested in 847H, 847H collected the attention of many discriminating cattlemen and women as a calf, and as a junior and senior yearling, she was

consistently second or third behind females that are not spoken of today, yet she is a female that has generated over $896,000 on ten head, making the $60,000 investment look affordable. The question that needs to be asked is whether you’re interested in good livestock or if you want to buy a banner because they take up less room and can be stored and forgotten about, in time. Choosing the first allows for more investment satisfaction, especially with the depth of quality and the varying positions and opinions of today’s phenotypic evaluators. The Tassin Family of Mississippi purchased a female at a $4,500 hammer price that was Supreme Champion of the Mississippi State Fair with multiple breed titles in her tenure; two full sisters are in this offering. Their dam was selected by Braden Hendricks a year ago, where she will continue the tradition of quality in production for their operation. The point is that good cattle can be purchased at all price points from this offering, and they are all backed by brood matrons that milk efficiently, have essential breed back, and still have the quality of look and ability to produce both bulls and females that will impact an operation and a breed positively.

It’s no secret that the cattle market is on fire, and this may be the new normal until the U.S. rebuild is complete. Now is the time to invest in your program’s future or your junior exhibitor’s college fund with cattle that have the credentials to work for you, instead of you working for them. The bottom end of the U.S. cow herd hasn’t been worth more than it is today, so why not sell them and reinvest that money into next-generation genetics as you select the ones you like over the coming months? Waiting won’t improve your operation, but investing in the next generation will. Quality has never been more valuable than it is today. Every cycle in this business should be seen as a way to sort and improve, preparing for the next set of unknowns on the horizon. Those who adapt will stay profitable and sustainable for the years ahead.

This set of females and herdsire prospects is the densest in terms of quality and genetics that we have ever assembled for your appraisal. Since we did not go to Junior Nationals this summer, we were able to get an earlier start in preparing these cattle for this event; therefore, these opens have had more days and personal attention on a halter than ever before. This is by far the quietest set of cattle we have ever started, and we know that will be evident on sale day. The bred cattle have had a great summer, and we are excited about the fact that several sell with the service of one of the breed’s hottest yearlings from the spring 2025 bull sale run, KCC1 3BCC Black Label 4016M. We know that cow power in this set of breds is competitive and unmatched amongst their contemporaries, and we are confident that you will agree as you browse this sale catalog and videos. If we can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to call, text, or email me, Tim Anderson, or Graham Blagg with assistance for purchasing or the finer details of our best offering to date.

We hope to see you in Grandview on October 11, 2025 or any day leading up to the sale. Just call and schedule a visit. Opportunity presents itself to be taken advantage of, so get to it!

Thank you for your interest and undivided attention.

KCC1 HARMONY 847H

DAM OF LOTS 1-3 MATERNAL GRANDDAM OF LOT 100

Harmony 847H continues to write her own story. As most know she was campaigned by Megan Brown. Winning a show was not her destination. Sure, she won some along the way, but her backdrop opportunities were not as often as her quality. There are many things that I do not understand in the show ring today and I get it. Her greatest accolades have come in production, as there is no denying that she is one of the greatest producing “H” model females in history!

Relationships in this business are everything and those pay off when it comes to marketing. However, the cattle must be of excellent quality to command certain dollar figures. In her rookie season of production, a heifer calf by MR HOC Broker was purchased by the Blount family of Texas for $38,000 (her first calf is featured as Lot 100) and a son of FRKG CKCC Platinum 009H, 3BCC KCC1 Krypton 100K sold for a hammer price of $450,000 to Bowling Cattle Company of Indiana and Freking Cattle of Minnesota. In 2024 a son of Next Level, KCC1 3BCC Next Phase 4L was the high selling lot at the annual Kearns Cattle Company Bull Sale at $95,000, and a maternal sister by WHF/JS/CCS Woodford J001, 3BCC KCC1 Harmony 4019M, commanded a hammer price of $82,500 to the DeBerry Family of Texas. Which brings us to Spring of 2025, where eight direct sons of 847H were offered to average $26,938. KCC1 3BCC Black Label 4016M commanded $100,000 as the selection of Roller Ranch of Minnesota, KCC1 3BCC Legend 5L at $49,000 to Hidden Oaks Cattle of Texas, and KCC1 3BCC Angel’s Envy 4017M sold for $33,000 to Swanson, Kucera, and 4/B Cattle of Iowa. The full brothers to the DeBerry female averaged $66,500 collectively, further proving the value of making the investment in females of this cow family!

3BCC KCC1 Harmony 4019M has been evaluated by some of the same people that sorted her dam during her show career with similar results. Second will translate to “Second to None” once she enters production. I strongly believe in her earning potential, and I am very confident that her ROI will be substantial when those first calves hit the ground. It is of my belief that beef cattle need to have shape and in order to have shape and longevity they must also be genuine and true from the ground up. Capacity and the ability to support that volume trait is essential for earning potential.

We continue to stay true to form with the 2025 edition of the Black Label sale book and initiate the offering with a series of direct daughters of the herd builder, KCC1 Harmony 847H. This initial duo of SimAngus females was sired by the highly valued Conley Lead The Way 0738. Each side of the equation offers complimenting traits to complete the final product and it’s obvious that it worked. Conley Lead The Way 0738 has the reputation for injecting hair quality and volume along with a centerfold presence about the front third, depth of side, and a nice hip and hind leg. KCC1 Harmony 847H maintains as a power matron; keeping skeletal width, shape, dimension, and skeletal build as genuine and flawless consistently from one sire choice to the next. It’s a perfect blend when it all clicks, as it did with this pair of females. 347N has been a standout since her ultimate youth. She has always had that trendy presence with her neck high out of her shoulder in combination with a beautiful head and ear set. Deep and bold in her center body, level in her design, and she sets to the surface with pride and authority. We do not try to create many percentage females but we like what this mating accomplished.

Projecting this pair of sisters as mature females or big-bred show heifers, I’d put my money on the one that has the extras in length and frame for the long game. 316N is exceptionally long fronted, bigger hipped, and possibly has the substance advantages as well in comparison to her Lot 1 sister. This one resembles Momma the most with her big feet, substantial bone work, and her flawless skeleton. She represents a genetic population and class of stock with power advantages throughout.

RJ Trust Fund 212K continues to prove to the general public how intelligent and savvy Jim Cowan is when it comes to investing in those with the slot machine returns. “Trust Fund” is a past sale feature of the highly coveted Embryos on Snow (EOS) annual genetic event, and with each calf crop, he validates his place in EOS history. I admired the bull greatly, and with KCC1 Harmony 847H’s history of making legitimate herd sires, we didn’t reverse sort the flush. This one heifer calf proves that the mating is destined to be dual-purpose and result in the kind of stock we prefer: cattle with general quality in a stouter built, proportionately balanced package who will be competitive and laced with earning potential post show career. I know that power isn’t cool, but it will come back in fashion one day soon.

We definitely like many things about this female! We appreciate not only her distinct color pattern but also admire the overall power, width, shape, and substance she displays in her phenotypic build! She might be a bit much for today’s standards that favor backdrop opportunities, but we strongly believe she is essential and a key part of the equation as the industry moves forward. As a young developing female and a senior yearling in exhibition, her dam was the flatter, smoother type, exceptional in her center body and very loosely hinged. But as a mature cow, the 2022 Ft. Worth Stock Show Champion Simmental Female is quite powerful and impressive in her everyday pasture setting. There is no doubt about her direct ties to KCC1 Havana 83E. We might be overly optimistic about this individual, but she combines the impressive RJ Trust Fund 212K with the rare influence of the late Rocking P Legendary C918. She’s a three-dimensional, power-packed breeding piece with the good running gear, solid performance, and high-society presence.

It’s herd sire time as we introduce one of the elite prospects of the very stout and competitive 2025 bull marketing year. SWC JBC Mankind 547M should gather the attention of progressive breeders in search of a blaze faced herd sire who offers measured spread performance in an attractive but masculine beef bull package. He is sired by the proven MR SR 71 Right Now E1538 that works for the Werning firm of South Dakota and from a direct daughter of MR HOC Broker out of the proven KCC1 Harmony 847H donor dam. His physical appearance is undeniable as he sets high out of his shoulder with smooth, glass like transitions. He’s big and open in his upper rib with plenty of definition down his back that he carries to a very wide pin set. He too is square ended, good off all corners, and big at the surface. For a bull that has safe heifer use potential, he has so much to offer to the business besides his vogue color pattern. Blount and Shipwreck wish to keep a one third revenue sharing interest in this creature. We believe enough in his dominant cow family and believe him to be one of the initial leaders of the sire group in the country. Homozygous black and homozygous polled. Offering 2/3 interest and full possession in one that has as much upside as we have witnessed to date.

A very unique blaze faced female from a past Simmental Champion Female of Rodeo Austin for Anna White. KCC1 Heavenly 26H is also a daughter of Profit from the famed and proven KCC1 Havana 83E. RP/BCR Eminence H005 is rapidly becoming the sire of choice when compared to his brothers. He consistently sires cattle that are deep with extra flexibility. His presence is noticed in this female that comes with the double dose of high tying arrogance as she takes to the pen. 502N could be the elite show heifer of the entire offering and she qualifies for a division of her own!

It’s great to be involved with some of the best people in the breed on the auction side of the business. The Long Family of Creston, Iowa purchased a legit calving SO Remedy 7F son from the Schaake Family. On a summer herd visit the bull impressed me enough that I reached out to Rob about running the bull in the fall and early spring and so “In Charge” got to witness what being a “snowbird” is about. SFI In Charge K28 did a phenomenal job in getting cattle bred up tight and the quality of the calves themselves is very consistent from one cow to the next. We have a high-quality set of bull calves and not near enough heifers. 105N is from a direct daughter of Profit out of KCC1 Havana 83E. She comes with an eccentric look, unquestionable balance and symmetry, with plenty of shape and true skeletal width. She will be the kind that you can just feed and let her genetics take shape. Patience will prevail.

We are showcasing three direct daughters sired by the Wheatland Cattle Company junior herd sire JWC 2/F Living Proof 283L, out of the prolific matriarch KCC1 Havana 83E. The storied line of the daughter of MR TR Hammer 308A ET from the Kearns foundation donor TKCC Victoria 57A continues to produce females that are competitive with or even better than her in production. She is a proven generator of quality, regardless of sex, and I can assure you that the brothers to this trio of females will be a pen of cattle to look up at the 2026 National Western Stock Show. The lead off female of this trio is the expected prototype that one would assume the cattle to look like. Her powerful build is wealthy in genuine beef cattle shape, sheer substance, and visual performance in terms of weight and frame. There’s no doubt that she should be the one that would consistently shell out performance bound herd sires and breed-changing stud bulls, but she is certainly well designed and easy on the eyes. The second of the electric trio of sisters is the combination female that possibly has the most upside for the purpose of the tan bark. This check marked sister is super soft in her makeup with an impeccable underline transition from chest to flank. Her flexibility is unrivaled among the family, and she is the most collected as she sets to the surface. Her presence is stunning, and her shape and substance are plenty but still refined, in comparison to the burly sister that precedes her in the catalog lineup.

She comes with the inclusive body shape of a level and square pin set and depth to her lower quarter.

Referred to as KCC1 Estelle 510E, her progeny have been featured in this event in years past. The 2023 edition of The Black Label featured a daughter sired by STCC Tecumseh 058J as lot 1. Walrod Cattle of Kansas selected KCC1 Lauryn 964L for a final hammer price of $35,000, as she highlights their donor line-up for the coming years. One of the distinctive qualities of this female is she combines two of the greatest producing sisters in the history of the Kearns Cattle Company program, with the influence of KCC1 Havana 83E on her top side of the pedigree. 83E is the maternal granddam of the $450,000 KCC1 Krypton 100K. The substance, shape, and performance this female offers to any program are unmatched along with the predictability value provided by the strength in her cow family. An investment in this stout-built donor prospect, with her distinguished brood cow appearance, is a choice where you can’t go wrong.

An offering rich in full sibs features a trio from the “poster cow” for the Simmental breed, WAGR Chanel 5073C! These leading ladies come with the sire influence of the past multiple time Percentage Simmental Champion, Reckoning 711F, making them paternal sisters to the 2025 AJSA Summer Classic Grand Champion Purebred Female, B C R Rachel M123. It’s obvious that each one comes packed with the goods, as one would expect from this mating. SWC JBC Nines 173N is built to her namesake. She is a proven competitor in her only time out at the TJSSA Futurity this past June where she claimed Reserve Champion Bred and Owned and ranked in the Top 5 heifers of the show at 170 days of age. She captured the attention of some of the biggest critics in the state and left a great impression on those who witnessed. She is one of the three best females from her dam in recent history, and we believe in the future that “Nines” has in store. The sole blaze faced sister sets to the surface loose hinged and intentional as she plants and drives off all fours. She defines elegance with a feminine presence yet sets wide and true from the ground up. We do like the balance of skeletal quality, body shape, and dimension that she blends in a very complete presentation of beef cattle excellence.

SWC JBC Navee 112N possesses the key qualities that can set her apart from her alluring sisters in terms of substance and capacity. Recently, on a social media post, Glen Martin made a significant statement while judging the Indiana State Fair Steer Show that was music to my ears: “I like cattle the way I like them because of where I live, because of where I grew up, because of the cows I run, because that’s what works where I live”. He essentially describes this individual in terms of preferring cattle that are as big-bodied, sound, big-footed, and as stout as you can possibly make them. He then concludes his historical remark with “hard bellied, rocket necked ones cripple up and die.” FACTS! We believe this one to always and forever be termed “good livestock”.

SWC JBC New Balance 306N is a herd sire prospect with a promotional, show worthy caliber of build. He is an ET flushmate brother to lots 10-12, so the skeletal perfection comes inclusive within the mating. He hits the surface big and stout as he sets on a densely constructed foot attached to big, flat bone work, and hinges loose with utmost agility as he goes. 306N is arrogant and highly set out of his front 1/3, neatly laid in his shoulder, glass-like in his profile transitions, with the depth of side and flank that assists with his impeccable balance. This stud is loose in his spine but straight in his lines with an ideal set to his pins as he hinges a very good rear leg. His dam, WAGR Chanel 5073C, hit the mark with this mating to Reckoning 711F. She is one of the more referenced and spoken of donors affiliated with the tenure of this sale series, as this genetic lineup validates her place in our program.

We feature a pair of sisters from the renowned Sandeen Donna cow line, known for producing numerous sale toppers across the country, especially in the annual Building a Brand sale series hosted by the Sandeen family every December. There is no doubt about the strength of this cow family as these maternal sisters share similar qualities in kind and build. Sandeen Donna 1042 is not only a direct daughter of the prolific and substantially profitable Sandeen Donna 8302, but she is sired by the full brother to KCC1 Havana 83E, KCC1 Exclusive 116E. Daughters of “Exclusive” are some of the most consistent and maternally driven females within the Kearns Cattle Company program wherever they roam, which only solidifies the investment credentials of either of these females. 431M is the direct daughter of the $620,000 STCC Tecumseh 058J that offers a more extended presence with added pin width and upper rib shape. 433M is true to genetic blend with the extra natural dimension, boldness of center body, and comes with the impeccable running gear that will allow her more years in production and the added edge in competition. Take advantage of the opportunity to inject the maternal influence of the proven and legendary 8302 in Grandview on October 11. Her impactful influence always sets the pace in Blakesburg, Iowa, on the second Saturday of December so why not try to gather it early in Grandview?

Quite possibly the best animal ever brought to The Black Label for public appraisal from the Bar O outfit of Oskaloosa, Kansas. Bar O Nova 191N raises the bar for elite stock, and she boasts a pedigree filled with sires that have influenced champion after champion. THSF Lover Boy, Ruby SWC Battle Cry 431B, and STCC Tecumseh 058J have all sired their share of winners who gathered the hardware and the purple. Her dam was impressive in her tan bark career as well. Built wide and true from every angle, she maintains a feminine and maternal presence among her competition, setting her apart from the rest. We find this female to be ultra-elegant with the extra depth of side and true shape throughout her build. She is set high out of her shoulder and very proud in motion. Raised by an outfit that still has the passion for the show ring as their preferred way of life and suitable from an attitude standpoint for any level of exhibition experience. If you want a team behind your high-quality show calf, then set your satchel down and invest.

I’m a huge fan of this pair of sisters sired by the $620,000 STCC Tecumseh 058J from the M&E Cattle Company donor known as MECC Annie Oakley 211A, the full sister to the $510,000 high selling GPG Cornerstone 1K owned by GKB Cattle of Desdemona, Texas. The supporting cow family is potent in nature and proof positive for generating production as STN Miss Star Light’s influence continues to surface in ones of quality. 356N has the age and maturity advantage of the sisterly duo and offers more sheer mass and surface area at this stage of development. We admire the depth of side, flex of skeleton, and presence this female offers to the eye. This leading lady sets square and collected in motion with a striking look on the stand still. She’s the kind that will gather the hardware. “Little sister” is no slouch in comparison, as she is even a bit sharper in her features, lines, and transitions than the older version of the genetic equation. Chiseled and sophisticated best describe this creature, with the needed depth and genuine width to be competitive. In motion, she’s second to none and quite breathtaking. A perfect blaze faced diva with a great attitude as well.

I strongly feel the cow value of cattle built like these is unmatched and the Purebred cattle they stand the chance to raise will be the kind who create positive change without question. Invest with confidence!

The saturation of cow family continues as we bring you a maternal granddaughter of the proven WHF/PRS/HPF Alley 247Y a matron that needs no further introduction or promotion to those who have been dedicated to the top tier cow families of the Simmental breed. As most know, the power of the WHF prefix is not just in the present, it’s well documented in the years past as a symbol of stock that are fertile, productive, and saturated with real world merit and performance. Harker’s Unleashed, the late but dominant percentage Champion enhanced the overall look and presence of this young half blood female. She comes extra loose hinged in her construction, soft in her center body with substance and an elevated presence. A true SimAngus show heifer that lines her pedigree with three of the Angus breed’s most dominant show cattle sires to include Silveiras Style 9303, Colburn Primo 5153, and Dameron First Class.

JSSC Wide Body 090W, the foundational patriarch to several cattle marketed through The Black Label over the years, enhances yet another female both physically and genetically. The sire of yesteryear breeds as true as the driven snow and the maternal advantages attached are second to none. R/C SFI Creedence hit the SimGenetic scene at a lope and his employment by some of the industry’s leading programs catapulted his status. He is a son of the timeless JSUL Something About Mary 8421 from one of the best producing females to carry the famed SFI prefix. His front skeleton design and ring presence have attracted many great stockmen to utilize his service, and the results have been consistent within the population of sons and daughters. We believe this female does come with certain advantages compared to the general population of her sire group. She raises the bar for body shape and depth, as she is set on a very fault-free set of running gears, yet still maintains that head-turning look associated with the influence of the past Champion.

Maternally she comes from the influence of the great JSUL Sultry 6640 through a Who Da Man x Sultry 6640 daughter, JSUL Who Dat Cat 7148E. 7148E had a very decorative show career claiming titles that included Supreme Champion Female at the 2018 Iowa Beef Expo, Champion Female at the 2018 National Chianina Jr. Heifer Show as well as Reserve Supreme at the 2018 Iowa State Fair. She ended her show career as being the Grand Champion Chianina Female in the Jr. Show at the 2018 NAILE. She is a full sister to the dam of Lot 39 who also had an incredible career on the chips. We think the upside potential of this dual registered female is astronomical, you will struggle to find many prospects that can compete with her oversized bone work, incredible hair quality and unwavering presence. She has all the intangibles to make an unstoppable bred heifer, and take home purple on the biggest stages.

JSUL Look At Dat 5636N is certainly one of the most intriguing, captivating and thought provoking dual registered females we have come across this year. Genetically she comes with all the support you could hope for in a show heifer prospect, being a full sister to Breckyn Bloomberg’s dominant champion from this past year, JSUL Who Dat 4117M ET, her titles include being the Champion Chianina Composite Female at the 2025 Cattleman’s Congress, Reserve Supreme Female at the 2025 Illinois Beef Expo and most recently the Supreme Champion Female at the highly competitive Illinois State Fair. Their dam, JSUL Who Dat Darling 902G would be one of the most memorable champions shown by Sara Sullivan, she was the 2020 NWSS Reserve Grand Champion Chianina Female, 2020 American Royal Grand Champion AOB, and capped off her career with her most noted victory as the 2020 NAILE Supreme Champion Junior Breeding Heifer! The flexibility that these dual registered females offer is invaluable, as they open up an alternate route to get to the final drive and this should be taken as a serious advantage to showman that like to keep their options open.

Shipwreck Cattle Company has assembled a small nucleus of Angus females over the past five years. The cattle have been selected for foot size, substance of bone, skeletal integrity, width of build, general look, and the right cow family can be an added bonus. We also weren’t afraid to tie into the opportunity to invest in the future of good cattle by acquiring an initial semen investment on the industry changingUDE New Heights 62/87. The dam of this herd sire prospect comes from the highly productive K Bar D Wendy 151E cow family. It’s a lineage built on strong production fundamentals, with excellent phenotype and real-world performance value. His dam is a direct daughter of the proven and maternally driven Stevenson Turning Point.  SWC New Level is a fault-free Angus herdsire prospect, paired with some of the top cow families in the Angus industry. He combines FCF Phyllis 532 with K Bar D Wendy 151E, showcasing a phenotype worth discussing. This bull commands attention with a massive foot and a flexibly hinged frame. He is genuine in his skeletal width from the ground up, bold through his center body, big in his back shape from blade to pin set, and is square and deep through his quarter. 105N has a stout skull, an elevated front third, seamless transitions, and desired pattern lines. We strongly believe this bull can benefit many operations, and his quality is difficult to match in a turnout bull with the build to produce cattle that have exceptional marketability for phenotype-based operations. Terms will be determined by sale day.

When presented the opportunity to invest in a full sister to the popular Gensini duo of dominant show creatures, we didn’t think twice about it. Freking Cattle and Doris Show Cattle raised one of the highest averaging flushes of females from their consequential and consistent Lot 1 Donor female! The “Mafia” sired cattle gathered a lot of hardware and became very familiar with shades of the color purple. LDSC Koko 1K, owned with Jackson Show Cattle, has stayed the course and has been a reliable producer that works well in embryo transfer and her embryos are sticky! LDSC Koko 1K is a rising star in the donor pen for both Shipwreck and Jackson as one would expect from the recent donor picture that is illustrated in this sale book. She is impressive in person with elephant sized feet, plenty of bone, big hipped and bodied with a stunning presence. There’s little to question as far as breeding value or the value that her offspring have to the breed itself. 1K will be available for viewing as we open a new chapter in The Black Label sale archives with this dominating female. We really like the sisters sired by the rising star ROSE Apex 3204L. Maine-Anjou enthusiasts should closely watch the youthful, high-quality females from the cornerstone donor for Buck Cattle Company, BK Utoo 872. 872 is one of the last daughters of the renowned Pannell Miss 4072, which established the Buck Cattle Program at the forefront of the Maine-Anjou breed for many decades. BK Utoo 872 has produced numerous high selling cattle and champions during her time at Buck Cattle Company, as well as for the investors who take advantage of the genetic opportunities offered by the firm from this landmark donor dam. KABG Test of Time 50L captivated the crowd at the 2024 Cattleman’s Congress and sold for $25,000 through the Bright Lights Maine-Anjou Sale. He exemplifies the top genetic producer within the Bremer program of Iowa, as his dam continues to produce quality cattle that keep the operation profitable year after year. These sisters were impressive at birth and continue to follow the same path as they mature. Cattle that are sound, correct, attractive, and possess the natural depth and dimension expected from this genetic blend. AC Ms Nobu 2512 ET stems from the combination of the highly anticipated, SVY Mayfield 30H stud and the foundation female for the Anderson Cattle Charolais program in CC WDZ Katelyn Dee 6760 ET PLD. SVY Mayfield 30H caused quite the stir in Charolais circles, being the first International Champion the breed has known, with Grand Champion Charolais Bull titles at both the Canadian Agribition and the National Western Stock Show, and he then was a feature of the 2024 Embryos on Snow when the 2024 US Semen allocation of 200 units sold for $140,000. On the maternal side, the CC WDZ Katelyn Dee 6760 ET PLD female has been a stronghold in the formation of the AC prefix, with multiple daughters being retained in herd, and several that have been campaigned, going on to be successful. The most notable would be AC Ms Pearl 2502, she was the Skrinjar families Grand Champion Charolais Female at the 2023 Ohio State Fair and NAILE Division Winner. In last year’s “Black Label” the cow family was featured through a maternal sister to 2512, as she was the dam of the $19,000 AC Ms Madonna 2418, that Addison Brown of Louisiana has had a great run with, that includes being the Champion Charolais Female at the 2025 LSU State Beef Breeding Show! Needless to say, this is a power cow family that has been a consistent source of quality. In the flesh you will find that AC Ms Nobu 2512 ET comes with a super elegant and extended look, she smoothly transitions between her pieces, motors with impeccable flexibility and agility, and comes with plenty of power and growth potential. With every day of maturity she develops with more quality, and we foresee this trend to continue, as this has become a very evident tendency with her maternal siblings.

When it comes to listing the most prolific and decorated females of recent in the Charolais breed, then the dam and several full sisters to AC Ms Neon Lights 2551 ET sort themselves to the top of the list in a hurry! Her dam, BOY Smokin Monte 7311 capped off her show career by hanging one of the most coveted banners that Charolais females can compete for, Grand Champion Female at the National Western Stock Show in 2019 for Carter Hoge. The BOY Outlier 812 PLD mating on 7311 has fired in an automatic fashion, and is responsible for many memorable champions that include, Avery Sweeney’s, BOY HL Lilo 350L, who claimed the Supreme Champion Breeding Female titles at both the 2024 Iowa State Fair and the North American Open Show Supreme Drive. Another full sister shown by Carter Hoge was the Third Overall Champion Owned Female and Grand Champion Bred & Owned Female at the 2024 AIJCA Junior National Show, along with the Reserve Champion Charolais Female in the NAILE Junior Charolais Show and the Grand Champion Charolais Female at the 2025 NWSS. Sara Sullivan also campaigned a full sister to 2551 to Reserve Champion Charolais Heifer honors at the 2022 NAILE Junior Show, only to top that in the Open Show at Cattleman’s Congress beating out her full sister to be Crowned Champion Charolais Female. The Summer of 2023 was fruitful too as she claimed the Reserve Grand Owned Female title at the AIJCA Junior National in Minneapolis. The list goes on, and the proof is in the pudding here, the pedigree of AC Ms Neon Lights 2551 ET is as good as you will find, and phenotypically, we think she fits the bill just as readily. Big time show heifer prospect that has the linage and family history to reassure you that the sky is the only limit here.

The lead off bred female comes from the “poster cow” donor dam, WAGR Chanel 5073C, a female that was readily noticed in much of the maternally focused ASA promotional material for several years. I would have to agree that in her prime, she was an ideal purebred Simmental female as she has proven to stand the test of time and production. 418M has changed as much as any female I have ever witnessed from birth to now. A plainer built, dense sided, rugged baby and yearling that has evolved into an elegant, clean, sharp, balanced bred donor prospect with true width and shape. From the surface up, this female is designed for the long haul with competitive features on board before she calves to the Windy Creek bred Griswold owned herdsire. This rare find is a very high quality SimAngus female sired by the $920,000 valuation Lead The Way 0738. 83E delivered on the power and 0738 influenced her arrogant style. 4206M is one of the burliest and biggest-footed females in the bred division. I selected her a year ago, believing she had the power and substance to go the distance. We still really like the female, but to maintain the quality and integrity of this offering, we felt it necessary to include her in the lineup. She does come with the service to a low birth weight, low-percentage MaineTainer sire. SWC Maine Man is a deep-sided, loose-structured herd sire with large testicles, who is athletic on the move and very impressive in his look and presence. (Ask Cole Clanton how good he is). His actual birth weight was 61 pounds, and his sire, TLAC Safety First 1913J, is known for proven calving ease within the Minnaert Bull lineup. For the purist crowd, we understand this may not be the most popular choice, but if I thought he was good enough to stay a bull and service a female like this, a direct daughter of the iconic KCC1 Havana 83E, that should suffice many of the head scratchers! Brood cow prospects for certain as they are deep and soft centered, very flexible in their skeleton as they set down on the desired substance and hoof shape that most of us prefer. 030M is the more extended, bigger outlined sister that sells safe in calf to the $100,000 KCC1 3BCC Black Label 4016M with a herd sire on board. 031M, the modern, conventional 748J daughter sells ideally mated to the proven calving ease son of SO Remedy 7F, SFI Longs In Charge K28, with a potential show heifer on board. One cannot go wrong, so invest in a starter program!

As we continue through the densest offering of bred cattle ever offered by The Black Label, we introduce a pair of full sisters sired by the no-miss, many time percentage champion sire of choice, Reckoning 711F, from the timeless NFF Wicked B125 donor. We will let the public decide which one is better suited as the pair is very close in terms of build, body type, shape, and look. To me they are very similar as both have always been deep sided, loose hinged, awesome at the surface, and very maternal in their look.

Everyone loves a “Karen” in some shape or fashion, however, we are certain that regardless of name that you will find quality and look in JARR Karen M401. The daughters of the Oak Meadow Farm produced stud, OMF Epic E27 leave it all on the table in production. Countless daughters of the ST Genetics owned stud are in production across the country, and the phenotype is incredibly similar from one outfit to the other. The cattle are dense in their body shape, stout in their pin set, genuine in their skeletal width and build from every angle, and the udder quality is impeccable! The mating on the productive W/C Relentless 32C daughter was the right decision for a complete, balanced bred female with utmost quality. M401 comes with the body shape and look that’s becoming trademark to the Richburg Family brand. She sells most likely safe AI to the great WHF/JS/CCS Woodford J001 for a quick return on investment!

M402 brings a cow family to the production equation that needs little introduction to the SimGenetic circle. Sandeen Donna 6386 is a timeless producer of the “must have kind,” and the generating potential of these females through their progeny is becoming unmatched. The consistency of BNWZ Dignity 8017 is undeniable as he continues to sire cattle that not only win major shows across the country, but his daughters and sons remain highlights in production as well. UDE New Heights 62/87 is quickly proving himself in his rookie calf crop, with his progeny continuing to stand out among many of the other 2025 born Angus sired calves for phenotypic quality. The late KCC Forever Lady 64G met an unexpected demise the first part of 2024 but not before leaving some inventory on ice and on hoof. 8017 daughters from the past many times Texas Major Champion are very consistent. They are chiseled and refined in their feature, sharp and crisp in their pattern lines, balanced in build, and offer quality in structure and of hoof. When we elected to use Coneally Emerald in our AI arsenal it was decided to give our potential customers the opportunity to have a quality heifer calf to retain as a productive, contributing female. I believe the results of our A.I. work will do exactly as we intended and that this pair of BNWZ Dignity 8017 daughters will have the longevity for fertility, production, and quality to withstand the tests of time!

One of the few SimAngus females of the bred offering, out a donor dam that got her initial start in The Black Label sale series as the selection of Sheffield Ranch and Badger Creek. Dylan bought Badger Creek out of their ownership share in the Badger Creek dispersal and had bred her to some of the elite sires in the business. This mating to Greene’s Pokerface 1304 has been offered through this sale before with much success as the $20,000 selection of Hadden Simmentals. The little sister offered this year has the advantages of true rib shape and center dimension to her older sibling, but maintains the front skeleton build and unique presence that stamps the mating time and again. Besides the direct influence of JSSC Carolina 004C the cow family behind her Angus sire is laced with maternal merit and record production as well. We believe that the herd sire on board should not only offer direct calving ease but will have added maternal power through the influence of the Ruby cornerstone “Rhythm” cow family.

JSSC Carolina 004C worked very well with the $530,000 SO Remedy 7F stud that continues to sire the kind that not only win backdrop opportunities but the kind that are relentless in production. The broody build and design works well seamlessly, glasslike pattern and kind of SP Remedy 7F as evident in this feminine featured, robust bodied female that is very close to calving. She should prove to be worthy of your investment on October 11.

MR HOC Broker is a sire that continues to be utilized throughout the industry. He continues to be praised for the quality of his daughters both on a halter or in the donor pen. MR HOC Broker has always been the sire that if the calves needed to be sent down the road at weaning time, they would still have enough payweight and real-world product to bring the top end of the market at the local sale barn. I believe that KCC1 Countertime 872H is of the same caliber in terms of genuine performance and the maternal value of his daughters in production. At the annual Kearns Cattle Company bull sale, the top end of the 872H sons still top the commercial demand and the grandsons from the daughters in production do the same. The value of this sire group may not be realized in the cute backdrop photos, but it is noted in the pasture and on the rail. The genetic combination to the prolific JSSC Carolina 004C is proven to be the best of calf raisers as the udder quality is unrelenting and the volume of milk on the high side of that spectrum of beef cattle production. Rocking P Private Stock H010 mated on a female like this should prove investment worthy and cow savvy.

Production longevity, saturated maternal power with look and eye appeal. 341L is mated up to the past “Champ” for investment success.

She is the daughter of one of the dominating producers in the Blount Cattle donor pen, Max Voltage, in which he selected from the reputable Udell Cattle Company firm. 87K sets to the surface on elephant sized feet attached to big bones. She is elegance in motion with a high tying front third, collected carriage to her spine and set level through her pins. An animal worthy of discussion and one that had the big shag as a baby and a two year old! She’s the show cattle producing kind, and her sire of influence always ties in well with the influence of Profit. #FEEDTHEADVANTAGE

For those of you who have an auction, you understand the workload and dedication required throughout a production year to reach the finish line. At 6945 CR 206, Grandview, Texas, we experienced a year with a skeleton crew from last year’s sale until mid-May. Wyatt Baker has been with us for many years, and he stepped up last fall, took initiative, and dedicated everything he had to managing every aspect of running a seedstock operation. We couldn’t be more proud of him and grateful for the growth he experienced through this.

Wyatt found some relief this spring with Adrian Marmolejo's full return. I have known Adrian for over 15 years, as his dad has purchased cattle from us during that time. He’s very skilled with equipment and treats everything as if it were his own. Adrian has also made significant progress on the cattle side this year, and we wouldn’t be able to do it without him.

A note about the Crew... Thank You!

In preparation for this sale, there’s always plenty of stock to get halter broke, and it significantly adds to the daily rinse and wash load. I want to ensure Wyatt has the right help to get the job done. Toward the end of June, I told Wyatt we needed to get some help here by early August. After exhausting our available resources with no commitments from those we contacted, I remembered a story Jerod Metzger once told me about a young man in Kentucky. I used to work for Sunset View Farms with Jerod years ago, and Bryan’s son McKall, who just graduated high school this year, was aiming to become an electrician. But Jerod said that McKall couldn’t get enough of the barn and the daily work involved in a seedstock operation. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain by asking if he wanted to come sweat and roast in Texas until midOctober. McKall Creek is a real hand; his attitude and approach to daily tasks are refreshing. His attention to detail and his ability to handle stock are very impressive relative to his age. McKall has played a significant part in preparing for this event, and we are beyond thankful for his family trusting us to care for a vital member of the third SVF generation.

We have a loyal support team that comes whenever the boys need to get their stock to the Texas Majors, assistance with preparing for pictures and videos, or help with breeding cows. So, a big thank you to Hunter Aggen, Cole Clanton, Jeremy Colon, Brent Cromwell, Paul Fuller, Jim Hoffman, Kaegan Jeffrey, Brecken Shipman, Cash Spurgeon, and Brazos Williams.

On the marketing side, we work with some of the best in the industry, and I am grateful for their loyalty and commitment to presenting our product at the highest level each and every time. Thank you to John Reasor for our photos, Kevin Edwards and the team at Ideal Video for the excellent footage, Graham Blagg and Tim Anderson for their professionalism and marketing presentation, and Megan Favorite for catalog and ad design.

Finally, my wife Haley, the greatest person I know. She excels at her favorite role as the mother of three boys, is passionate about her work for our school district, and somehow keeps everything together throughout the year. She’s the rock. My in-laws Clark and Robin Allen are vital in stepping in wherever needed and whenever needed, especially when it comes to the constant, never-ending game and practice schedule with select baseball, football, and basketball. Karl and Gail Blagg do so much to help during sale season by providing a home away from home and are always willing to lend a hand with whatever they can.

To one and all, you are appreciated more than words can express!
