Mens Soccer Expectations Expectations were high as the MLC 1nen's soccer te·rurul!-'! for tne 2002 soccer season. A mix of experienced upperc and talented young recruits showed excellent potential foresaw what this year's squad would accomplish. t season losi;es meant another second place conference fin clearly the Knights had saved their best for last. An im p~rformance in late October brought hmnc MLC's Ii conferencc tournament title and a few weeks later, traveled to face off against pere1utlal power Huro11 Unive U1e NAJA regional Iinal game. After l20 minutes of IC soccer. MLC scored on all five of their P.enaltv kicks t shootout and a bid to the NAlA 11ational tourl1ament their season ended in the first round of that tournamrn defcn_ding national champions, il was a foll that fe:w pLir ever lorget.
