Heavenly Father, we praise you as the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Be gracious to us and bless us.

May your ways be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.

Lord Jesus, you are the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Show us your ways, 0 Lord, teach us your paths. Then we will walk in the light of life.

Leader: People:

Holy Spirit, you alone know the thoughts of God. Be our Counselor and guide us into all truth.

Sanctify us through the gospel, that we might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Presentation of Diplomas

Please reserve applause for the Presentation of the Class of 1998

The Class Hymn: "Hark! The Voice of Jesus Crying" The class will sing stanzas 1-3. The congregation will join in singing stanza 4.

4. Let none hear you idly saying, "There is nothing I can do."

While the multitudes are dying, And the Master calls for you.

Talce the task he gives you gladly; Let his work your pleasure be.

Answer quickly when he calleth, "Here am I - send me, send me!"

Prayer Leader: Dear Lord, God of all majesty and might, you fill the world with your goodness and grace.

People: You assign us the task to rule over your possessions, to serve our neighbor in need, and to spread your Word throughout the world.

Leader: Our work is worthless without your support, and our life is meaningless without your presence.

But you malce us your own by the saving work of Jesus, and you strengthen us by the power of your Spirit.

People: We praise and thank you, Triune God, for these unmerited blessings.

Leader: Out of faith toward you and love for our neighbor, we humbly accept whatever work you give us to do, and we pledge to spread the gospel as you give us strength.

People: Bless these graduates wherever you lead them - to the Seminary, parish, school, or elsewhere.

Inspire them to serve you throughout their lives. Strengthen them as they face trials, and let them count your blessings in their work.

Leader: We thank and praise you also for establishing this school of ministry, for the blessings of the school year, for parents and all who support the training of ministers with prayers and gifts, for faithful students who prepare for public ministry with dedication, for dedicated teachers and staff who follow your ways, and for a church body which sees its mission to spread your Word among all peoples.

People: Bless each and everyone in whatever way they serve, and let this day confirm your everlasting love among us. Glory be to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen
