Trend & Forecasting Lookbook 2023: Grapefruit & Honey

The location and colors used to showcase the settings as well as nature found in Tucson. The settings I chose try to mirror some of these elements as well as showcase trends seen on the runway this season. One of the looks is shot are shot on campus and feature the nature and

following four looks were in part inspired by the mural above. The mural can be found at Sam Hughes Middle School and depicts school on a basketball court, another uses a book as a prop to bring in the school element, and many greenery seen in the mural. You will also see the same color story throughout the lookbook.

These are a few looks pulled from the recent Fall / Winter 2023 New York Fashion Week. As you can see, pops of red and pink, as well as bows, have been seen a lot on the runway, which is why I have chosen to focus on them in the lookbook. Other trends seen have been: animal print, metallics, tights, headpieces, balletcore, sheer, and knits. I have noticed a lot of designers taking inspiration from the sixties, using looser more fowing materials and mimicking color blocking mod style clothing. Entertainment of today is also infuencing clothing. The Rodarte show stunned with its gothic elements which many commented had similarity to the current hit Netfix show Wednesday.
