THE CERTIFICATE COHORT PROGRAM The Certificate Cohort Program provides community development professionals with a more rigorous and exploratory course load of Mel King Institute trainings paired with networking and other enrichment opportunities by interacting with other cohort participants. This curriculum consists of three foundational courses: Intro to Community Economic Development, Intro to Census Data, and an MKI-approved racial equity training. In addition, participants complete courses across our learning areas as well as two elective courses of their choosing. During our quarterly meetings, cohort participants have a chance to network with each other as well as have conversations with our distinguished guest speakers from across the community development field.
