Hundreds of spaces are available to rent, from historic golf clubhouses built in the 1930’s, to beer gardens overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan. Unique Indoor Venues

One-of-a-kind event spaces, including boathouses, beer gardens, historic bathhouses, nature centers, community centers, sports fieldhouses and the Mitchell Park Domes.

Unique Outdoor Venues

Gazebos, bandshells or even the rose garden at Boerner Botanical Gardens are all available for wedding receptions, photo shoots and more.

Park Pavilions

Pavilions in the parks feature meeting rooms, kitchenettes, and public restrooms and are ideal for parties, showers and community meetings.

Picnic Shelters

Whether it’s a family reunion or a company picnic, covered picnic shelters are available from May 1 through Oct. 15.

Water Parks & Swimming Pools

Host a pool party or private event at at waterparks, indoor pools or outdoor pools.

Host your event in a one-of-a-kind venue in a park. Choose from boathouses, beer gardens, historic bathhouses, bandshells, nature centers, community centers, sports fieldhouses, Mitchell Park Domes and Boerner Botanical Gardens.

Brown Deer Park Boathouse sits on a hill overlooking the lagoon in Brown Deer Park. The rustic exterior and wooded setting create the effect of a country house. The rental area has a fireplace and wood beams.

The Garden House was constructed in 1935 using native fieldstone. The Exhibit Room features wooden animal sculptures, wooden furniture, and a beautifully inscribed fireplace mantel. Renters may bring in beverages (alcoholic beverages require a separate permit) and prepared food or snacks. Admission fees to Boerner Botanical Gardens required May-Oct.

Rooms at Boerner Botanical Gardens include two main-level classrooms with sinks (seat 36), two lower-level lab-style classrooms (seats 45) and a multi-media room (seat 180). These rooms are ideal for presentations, meetings or art and garden workshops.

Nell’s Garden Cafe at Boerner

Botanical Gardens is an intimate gathering space ideal for small weddings, anniversaries and corporate functions. The octagonal-shaped Cafe features five large, garden-facing windows looking upon the Garden Terrace, an additional gathering space for this facility.

The Garden Room at Boerner Botanical Gardens is located off the Atrium, overlooks the Silver Gardens, and allows guests a nice retreat from a business meeting. This space is ideal for meetings, cocktail receptions, intimate sit-down dinners and more. For group sizes of 96 or less, the room can also be combined with Boerner Hall, lending itself well as a space for cocktails and dancing.

The Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory, better known as The Domes, offer a one-of-a-kind destination for your event or wedding. Seated events can accommodate 275 guests; cocktail events, up to 500 guests. A/C and wi-fi are available in the lobby area only.

Zilli Hospitality Group is the exclusive caterer at The Domes; this includes both food and beverage.

RENTAL INFORMATION

For a truly unique wedding, ceremonies for up to 50 people can be held in the Tropical, Desert or Show Domes at the Mitchell Park Domes during regular opening hours.

A ceremony permit is required for ceremonies, plus admission per person. Permits are for two hours and include photography at your selected site. For private ceremonies, an after-hours rental is required.

Soccer goals and volleyball nets are available.

From bandshells to beer gardens, a range of unique open-air venues are available to rent for special events, wedding ceremonies or concerts throughout the summer months.

Each year the Traveling Beer Garden visits a dozen parks throughout the county with the Sprecher Brewery firetruck. 23 park pavilions, two golf clubhouses and four community rooms provide rental spaces for indoor events. Most pavilions are available year-round and include a kitchenette to prepare or warm food. Clubhouses and community rooms are available seasonally and do not include kitchenettes.

Choose from over 20 picnic shelters in parks across Milwaukee County. Shelters are available from May 15 to October 15. Many of our shelters include electric outlets and restrooms, and are close to other park amenities including playgrounds, sports fields and trails.

Shelters are available for permitting at the posted rates. Rates are based on set area capacity and amenities.

HOW TO BOOK

Picnic Shelters can be rented by calling our public services team at (414)-257-8005. We accept bookings two years in advance and require at least two weeks notice. Water Parks & Swimming Pools

Two waterparks, two indoor pools and eight outdoor pools are available to rent for private pool parties. The outdoor pools and water parks are available for private rentals during the summer. Bring your own food and drinks, even beer and wine (just no glasses).

Trimborn Farm in Greendale holds more than 180 years of Milwaukee history. The complex includes a Cream City brick farmhouse, one of the last and largest stone barns in Wisconsin, a worker’s bunkhouse, threshing barn, and 75-foot kiln. Rentals are organized by Milwaukee County Historical Society.
