Miss City of Sunshine - Allyssa Defillipo

I never thought that night that I would be crowned Miss City of Sunshine, and since that day everything has changed. I have not only met my bestest friend and forever pageant sister, Anna, I have been given many opportunities that I may not have without this program.

I earned about $7000 in scholarships at the local level this year, allowing me to continue my education in Early Childhood Education and Nutrition. Most importantly I learned that I am capable of doing the things I dreamed of as a little girl- singing on stage, sharing my passions, and inspiring others.

Since being crowned Miss City of Sunshine I was inspired to become a better version of myself: filming commercials, continuing my modeling career, starting my own coaching business, prioritizing my physical and mental health, dedicating time to others, and working hard to achieve my goals. I found confidence and motivation through this title that has changed my life.

And Anna, my Miss Klamath County, there’s no words for how grateful I am to have been paired with the ying to my yang. This program granted me with someone who not only inspires me everyday, but inspires others as well. I love you to the moon and I know you will continue doing great things in your life.

My Miss Oregon Sisters: the sisterhood is truly why I started competing and I couldn’t of been luckier than the ladies I had in this years class. Each and every one of them are kind, loving, beautiful and hard working. I have met some of my greatest friends and cannot thank you guys enough for the experience you have provided me and the light you continue to shine in my life.

Thank you to everyone who has believed in me and supported me along this journey- and I will continue serving this community, uplifting women, and sharing my passions inside and out of this program.
