To save money, members can use discount cards instead of their plan benefits when this option offers a lower outof-pocket cost. For those with a high deductible plan, this is especially important.
At TrueScripts, we want to make it easier for you to get the greatest savings possible while achieving appropriate credit toward your deductible and out-of-pocket maximums. With PriceProtector+, we will automatically apply GoodRx discount card pricing if it is lower than your out-of-pocket cost through the benefit plan. What do I need to do to access this program?
Absolutely nothing! Everything takes place automatically when your pharmacy processes your generic prescription(s) with your benefit plan ID card. You’ll get the lower cost, and the amounts you pay will be credited to your deductible and/or out-of-pocket where appropriate.
Since drug prices may vary from one pharmacy to another, you can compare individual pharmacy costs on the GoodRx app to ensure you are receiving the lowest cost possible. The only pharmacy that does not currently accept the program is Walmart Pharmacy.
