Alistair is such a fun artist! He is one of the most expressive artists we have here at Hunter Street Weekday. When asked about his latest piece, he said “I’m painting a rainbow!” Though the shape of the rainbow is abstract, he certainly used all the colors of a rainbow in his painting.
When Alistair isn’t working on his art, he enjoys playing with trucks and exploring his environment. Alistair is almost always happy, and he uses his whole face when he smiles. He also loves music and dancing, and he commonly requests to sing “Five Little Monkeys” with his classmates. His favorite day is Thursday when he knows he will get to visit Scruffy the Dog in chapel.

When asked about her latest painting, Mahi grinned and said, “It’s Iraa!” She was quite pleased with herself that she had painted a portrait of her sister.
Mahi has really come into her own during her time at Weekday. She has made many new friends and enjoys playing with all of them. She is quite intelligent and pays great attention to detail. Her favorite things to do are creating art and preparing culinary delights for Mrs. Lisa to “eat”.
Sam’s latest artwork is entitled “A Rainbow”. One can clearly see the use of a rainbow of colors on the canvas in this minimalistic painting.
When it comes to most things, Sam is a no-nonsense kind of guy, and his artistic style reflects that. He has a very dry sense of humor, even at four years old. He is also very observant and intelligent, so he is frequently the one in the class to keep everyone on track. Sam is a natural leader, and he really enjoys developing and directing playground games.

Naomi Mae
Naomi Mae has created a family portrait for us to enjoy this evening. She is a careful and detailed artist, and if asked, can easily explain the meaning behind her painting.
When Naomi Mae is not creating art, she loves to pretend to be a princess or a mermaid. She also enjoys taking care of baby dolls and building tall towers. Naomi Mae has come out of her shell this year as she has gone from quiet and timid to someone who is not afraid to speak her mind. She is going to do great things!
As an artist, Henry is very laid back. His current work is entitled “A ‘tatoe”. It is best described as an abstract piece of artwork with an expressive use of color.
Henry is laid back in his other pursuits at Weekday as well. He is rarely bothered by the chaos that so often surrounds him here at school. He is perfectly content to explore on his own, although he enjoys playing with others, too. His favorite pastimes are pretending to drive excavators on the playground and discovering what treasures may be lurking underneath the earth’s surface. He loves to chat about his sister, Lola, and how he helps get her on the bus whenever he can.

Bonnie
Bonnie says her most recent painting is of a “rainbow and rain”. Her creative process was interesting, as she first painted a rainbow, but then decided “there cannot be rainbows without rain”. So, the rain seen here was a creative afterthought.
When Bonnie is not painting pictures, she enjoys talking to people - ANY people. From made up stories to detailed explanations, Bonnie loves to discuss what is going on in her life. If Bonnie is dawdling, it is because she has found someone new to talk to. This trait makes her an enjoyable child and a social butterfly. Bonnie is our one-woman welcoming committee.
Anshika said her current work is a portrait of her daddy. Anyone who knows Anshika would not be surprised that she would choose her daddy as her subject since it is obvious that she loves him very much.
Anshika is such a delightful child here at Weekday. She loves to laugh, sing, and dance. She is almost always smiling and is a friend to all. She enjoys creating art, playing with baby dolls, and building tall towers. Anshika loves to give advice about makeup and nail polish, which are two of her favorite things.

Iraa
Iraa’s current painting is a “happy face” according to the artist. Though it may be difficult for the viewer to see the face inside her painting, it is clearly visible in the behind-the-scenes footage of the artist at work.
Iraa has grown and changed so much during her time here at Hunter Street Weekday. She has learned to make new friends and experience new things. She especially enjoys cooking in the kitchen, building buildings, and playing princess. Iraa is intelligent and meticulous in her work.
Mila
Mila is the newest artist to enter the art scene at Hunter Street Weekday. When asked about her latest piece, she said “I’m painting Mimi and a rainbow!”
Mila is finding her place here at school. She enjoys playing pretend, playing outside, and meeting new friends. One will usually find her with a smile on her face as she explores all of the new activities in her classroom. Though she’s new to all of this, she’s holding her own quite nicely!
Luke
Luke’s latest art piece is entitled “A Rainbow”. comes to art, Luke is a minimalist. His minimalism is certainly expressed very clearly in this painting.
While Luke is an understated artist, he enjoys other activities here at Weekday to the fullest. He loves playing and investigating with his friends and even enjoys dancing and singing from time to time. He is quite tenderhearted and kind, making him a great addition to our classroom. Luke is also always willing to try new things and to do his best to be successful.
