For the first ever bathroom-focused experience at Mix Design Collective, Koncept ID have created a VR experience around the theme of INVIGORATE, showcasing the future of design presentation.

Visitors are immersed in three virtual reality concepts, challenging the idea of traditional tactile showrooms.

2019 has been a very busy year for the practice, with several large projects including the Majestic in Harrogate, the Novotel Hotel and Radisson Red in Liverpool, Malmaison Manchester and the Ruby Hotel in Clerkenwell all in full swing.

Paul has been working across a range of sectors since graduating in Interior Design in 2009. Paul’s last six years have been spent in a multidisciplinary background enabling him to challenge any conventional design perceptions and create lasting solutions for all aspects of design. Paul is a natural leader who maintains key oversight over numerous projects and uses his wealth of experience and passion to ensure successful delivery.

Jane is a very versatile designer who has been working on a wide range of projects within the hospitality and commercial sectors; her primary focus has been the development of numerous high quality public areas.

Jane enjoys researching new materials and technologies to advance her creative abilities and create more inspiring and innovative spaces.

A passionate designer who has recently graduated in Interior Design, Matt has jumped straight into the industry and hit the floor running. Adding valuable work to a number of current projects, he uses his creative ability and strong visualisation skills to propose impactful and engaging concepts.

Above is an unobtrusive design exentuating its natural and beautiful setting. Each product, beautiful in its own right, takes a gracious step back to let the view do the talking.

This virtual reality room is an exploration of a three dimensional space that is purely designed around the products it contains.

The mood and ambience of the room is entirely controllable by the guest, creating a transformative experience.

Left is an escape in the city. Cool neutral tones have created a bathroom for the urban native wishing to cleanse both body and mind. Quiet and uninterrupted. Self focussed.

The ability to use VR meant we could take the invigorate concept anywhere in the world, and we had so many great concepts.

After a group brainstorm session, we decided to run with three options. We are fully supportive of the Northern design scene, and an opportunity to be involved with an incredible emerging technology was interesting to us as a team.

In hospitality at the moment, we are seeing a lot of adaptable spaces – be it the bedroom or public spaces. Clients want to engage with all the spaces, whether they are working, relaxing or entertaining – the freer and easier it is for the user, the better!
