From lectures and seminars to warehouse tours and product demonstrations, students engage with real-world supply chain experts throughout their time at MIT.

Our candidates bring an average of five years of professional experience, strong quantitative training, and a proven ability to solve real-world problems under pressure. It is no surprise that senior leaders from Apple, Tesla, Amazon, Walmart, and many others continue to return to our program to meet, mentor, and recruit our students.

Ninety-seven percent of students received offers within three months of graduation, and sixty-one percent attributed their roles to support from our alumni or MIT connections. This reflects the strength of our community and the trust employers place in our graduates. Employment Outcomes Overview Within three months of graduating, 97% of our job-seeking students received an offer and 92% accepted an offer. More than half of those opportunities came through SCM or MIT connections. By the time this report was published, every student had secured a position.

Last year, Jeff Axline ’07, Head of Global Logistics and Supply Chain Strategy at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, spoke with students about the supply chain challenges facing the pharma industry. As often happens, his visit sparked conversations that ultimately led to a job offer for one of our students. His new hire, Christine Cafaro ’25, returned this fall to share her own experience with the class of ’26. This spirit of alumni ‘paying it forward’ is a powerful driver of career development, especially in an intensive 10-month program.

Career Experience In 2025, employers placed a clear premium on supply chain experience. Students entering the program with seven or more years of professional experience commanded average base salaries that were 22% higher than those with fewer than four years. This reflects a broader market trend: organizations are seeking leaders who can draw on real operational insight, navigate complexity, and contribute immediately.
