MiTek New Zealand limited manufacture the LUMBERLOK range timber connector products which are widely specified by engineering / architectural practices and used by tradesman and DIYer’s in all types of timber construction throughout NZ. Over the forty or so years of existence, the LUMBERLOK range has grown to incorporate structural fixings and bracing elements from the subfloor structure of a house, through the walls and mid floor section, right up to the fixing of roof batten to roof truss top chords.

Each product has been designed and developed in keeping with current building practices and suited as best fit for purpose based on the ease of application in relation to the fixing required, load performance and cost effectiveness.

The current NZ Building code is very specific regarding the structural requirements of house construction and many of the LUMBERLOK timber connectors provide practical solutions to these

demands whilst meeting the performance criteria as outlined in B1 of the Building Code.

Given that LUMBERLOK connectors are typically used within each of the ‘enclosed’, ‘sheltered’ and ‘exposed’ environments of a building, products are manufactured from zinc plated steel through to stainless steel to comply with B2 of the Building Code and most incorporate both nail and screw holes to offer the installer a choice of fixing methods depending on working space, ease of installation or convenience.
