I am an Architect and Researcher from India with a Master’s degree in Advanced Architecture from IAAC, Barcelona, Spain.
Architecture is a field of creative minds and experiential eyes and the key to being a successful architect is to have the right balance of the two, which is something I possess and have been a driving force to help me fulfill every task I take up.
I am passionate about Materiality in Architecture, Parametric Design & Advanced Technological Development in construction industry. My focus is on Research and Design for the further enhancement of Green Building Technology thus incorporating Data Driven Architecture and Interactive Design Elements with attention to materiality, thus creating a positive impact on the society and environment to incorporate a circular economy and create a sustainable future for the built environment.

Digital Matter Studio aims to recognise and experiment compositions by extracting matter from a waste stream with potientials of being used as a material in varied architectural applications.

The project ´URBAN CASCADE´ is a group project that intervenes in the waste stream of mussel shells. Using the waste shells from the canned industry in powdered form as the base and extracting chitosan from it to be used as the material giving water filtration properties to it, we create a material which can be used in an architectural intervention in a landscape space. The design of the project aims to create a form most optimum for water cascading and filtration.

Climate Change

Population Growth

Need for Increase in Agricultural Production

But where does the water requirement come from?

HOUSEHOLD GREYWATER
HOUSEHOLD GREYWATER

We need to change the relation between food production, water management and communities, and start seeing water as abundance, not scarcity.
We propose to create a self sufficient landscape infrastructure, that improves the built environment through designs inspired by nature and that take advantage of novel solutions regarding greywater treatment, upcycled bio-based materials, and computational design optimization. A space where we can harvest food, energy and water and more importantly, community.

First step of the filtration system Bio-based panels:
» Retention of bigger particles of suspended solids (TSS)
» Absorb heavy metals
» Remove chemical oxygen demand (COD)
» Encapsulates body oils and cosmetics
» Tensile Solar Panels
• Rainwater collection
• Energy generation for pumping systems
» Wooden Structure
• Provides structure for the top and can be used for farming purposes at the bottom
Second step of the filtration:
» Suspended solids become trapped by vegetation
» Microbes convert organic nitrogen into useable
» Metabolize nutrients
Final destination of the filtered water
» Nutrients from greywater after filtration improve the quality of the crops and provide water year round

So, as a conclusion, our landscape project has the potential to filter 10x more greywater than the immediate context produces. And the filtered grey water could not only be used for irrigation, but also again distributed to the surrounding buildings for use. The overall landscape can produce up to 145.000kg of food which could improve food security. And 2240 kW/year is the energy produced through the solar panels for the needs of the landscape. Proving that systems like this could be beneficial to the built environment and have the potential of feeding a growing population.

The landscape has the potential to filter 10x more grey water than the context produces

27% of the grey water filtered will be used for irrigation demand

145.000kg of vegetable and fruits

2240 KW/year from solar panels

The seminar, After Gaudi: from Computation to Composition, explores innovative Gaudí’s design approach, employs parametric geometry with 9 degrees of freedom, and optimizes facade construction for environmental performance.

´Varmalaug´is a group project that aims at building an enclosed thermal bath with hyperboloids perforated on the facade. Iceland, located in a climatically critical part of the North Atlantic, is an island where earth, air, fire and ice literary meet, and its environs are a key region of ocean–atmosphere interaction, atmospheric dynamics and cyclogenesis. Reykjavík is located in the southwest of Iceland. The Reykjavík area coastline is characterized by peninsulas, coves, straits, and island.
