Why I am running for Emmet County Prosecuting Attorney: I was Emmet County’s Chief Assistant Prosecutor – from 20132019, and a prosecutor for over 30 years. I have worked closely with law enforcement and successfully and expeditiously prosecuted the most serious criminal cases in our county – including 2 murder cases, well over 200 sexual assault cases, the Boyne Highlands arson case, and all drug trafficking crimes.

These crimes seriously affect the quality of life in our beautiful community, and it is my highest priority to work closely with law enforcement to keep our county safe, achieve justice for victims, and ensure dangerous criminals are held accountable, while respecting due process for all.

I believe prosecution to be the highest calling in law. The Prosecutor is the head of the criminal justice system. I have dedicated my life to public safety and helping victims secure justice. Ensuring the protection of the public and having a strong, professionally run criminal justice system is essential for any community to thrive.
