Great Lakes Center for the Arts Summer/Fall Program

Page 1

WELCOME TO THE 2026 SUMMER & FALL SEASON

It has been nearly a decade since the Great Lakes Center for the Arts opened its doors with a bold promise: to bring the best of live entertainment to the shores of Northern Michigan. Since then, our stage has welcomed rock ’n’ roll legends, Broadway stars, classical virtuosos, world-class dancers, comedians, and storytellers from around the globe.

But the magic of live performance extends beyond the stage.

It is in the collective energy we bring, the experiences we share, and the moments that stay with us long after the applause fades away. At the heart of our 2026 Summer & Fall Season is a simple but powerful sentiment: You Are Here. It is a celebration of connection and the extraordinary things that happen when artists and audiences come together.

This season invites you to relive music history with classic rock supergroup

The Hit Men and mark America’s 250th birthday with Almost Heaven: John Denver’s America, a soulful tribute to one of folk music’s most beloved songwriters. Experience the breathtaking artistry of The Westhuizen Duo, the ten-time Grammy-winning harmonies of Take 6, the electrifying sound of trumpeter Chris Botti, a radiant evening with Amy Grant, and a rare intimate performance by country music star Cole Swindell.

We are immensely proud to present our very own production of the hit Broadway musical Come From Away, a moving and exhilarating reminder of humanity at our best, inspired by the true story of 7,000 stranded travelers and the people of Newfoundland who welcomed them with open arms.

You’ll have the opportunity to engage with bestselling authors, laugh with some of today’s most exciting touring comedians, and experience the artistry of our regional partners, including Crooked Tree Arts Center School of Ballet and Bay View Music Festival.

Thank you for being part of our story at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts. We are so glad you are here.

THANK YOU, PATRONS

This list reflects annual financial and in-kind contributions received between April 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026. Your financial support is essential, and your name is important to us. If your name is incorrect or omitted, please let us know so we may correct our error.

IT STARTS WITH OUR PEOPLE

The ones who know a home is more than a structure - it’s where life takes shape. Every detail matters. Nothing gets overlooked. Because the people behind it care that much. That’s what it means to be built different. This is BIRCHWOOD.
