Entering the fourth year of business, Mitchell Curated follows a passion for competition pedigree and historic excellence. Founded and run by Ben Mitchell the company continues to strive to provide a specialist service in the sourcing and sales of historic and competition cars.
Based between Cirencester and Cheltenham in the Cotswolds, South West England, the Mitchell Curated showroom spans 2,000 sqft and is located within a picturesque country estate, with viewings welcome by appointment. Ben’s hands-on experience, both mechanically and behind the wheel, brings an ability to validate the car in question to aid buyers and sellers in the process of navigating the world of historic and competition cars.
About Ben Mitchell
For Ben, motorsport has been a feature in life since birth. From attending his first race meeting aged just 10 days to winning the Richmond Trophy race at the Goodwood Revival, motorsport has been the centre point to Ben’s upbringing and passion.
Having served an apprenticeship at Simon Hadfield Motorsport and worked with William I’Anson for eight years, in late 2022, Ben launched Mitchell Curated.
Continuing to compete on track, 2025 saw a class victory in the Spa 6 Hours and another Goodwood podium.
Into 2026
2026 sees Mitchell Curated return to Retromobile Paris after a successful debut in 2025. The new stand will be a collaboration with event organiser Motor Racing Legends, combining a selection of Mitchell Curated’s available stock with MRL’s exciting 2026 calendar which branches wider and now includes a Tour of Britian competitve road rally - perfect for the De Tomaso Pantera, developed for the Giro d’Italia!
Back in the office, Ben is now joined by Samantha Dourson who brings art market experience in an executive and operations coordinator role, expanding the bandwidth of the company.















The Ex - Peter Mould, The Most Original Lister-Jaguar ‘Knobbly’

Exceptionally successful period competition history, including numerous podium finishes and an outright victory at Silverstone in October 1959 during its first season of competition.
Outstanding early results record, achieving 32 awards from 39 starts when campaigned by first owner Peter Mould, underlining the car’s success in period.
Remarkable level of originality and preservation, still accompanied by its original buff logbook and widely regarded as the most original surviving example of the Lister-Jaguar ‘Knobbly’.

Ex - Seikel Motorsport, Le Mans 24 Hours

1 of just 7 iconic 993 GT2Rs completed in black, and 1 of only 78 built in total.
Completed by Porsche in 1995 and sold to German team Seikel Motorsport for use in 1996, when it completed the Le Mans 24 Hours and was a regular in the BPR International GT Series before moving to the new FIA GT Championship in 1997.
With just three owners from new, 393086 comes from a 21 year current ownership, having been acquired in 2004 and little seen since.
Presented in highly original condition with original chassis, original internal paint, countless factory details and 1997 FIA GT seal on the rollcage.
Maintained in working order and exercised annually, it today shows 27,472 km, believed to be correct. One of the finest examples of the legendary twin turbo 993 GT2R.

The Ex - Barrie Smith, One Of The Very Finest Original Examples

One of the clearest and most original Lola T70 Mk3Bs in existence and very hard to better. Still accompanied by its original bodywork, February 1969 dated fuel cell, numbered gearbox case and many other significant parts.
The third iteration of SL76/148 after Picko Troberg destroyed two cars in early 1969, this car featured salvageable parts from Troberg’s wrecks including the roof section, fuel cell, engine and gearbox, and was bought from Lola by British privateer Barrie Smith in 1969.
Smith campaigned SL76/148 around Europe, Argentina and South Africa through 1969 and 1970 with victories at Crystal Palace.
Road registered in the UK in late 1970 and continued racing with Richard Bond, Gerry Marshall and Ray Mallock when owned by Geoffrey Marsh. Subsequently owned by David Piper and Richard Attwood for nearly 20 years and raced in their ownership by a selection of drivers.
With under 200 miles on the engine and gearbox, valid crack testing, fuel cell and FIA HTPs, SL76/148 has an enormous spares package including fresh spare engine, suspension, bodywork and extensive original parts. Having been raced for almost all of its life, SL76/148 is remarkable for having stayed out of trouble and today is one of the very best original Lola T70 Mk3Bs that there is.

The first Formula 1 design from Eric Broadley and Lola, the Mk4, and the first chassis of that model, BRGP41.
Built to use a 1.5-litre four cylinder Coventry Climax FPF engine and Colotti gearbox.
Raced under the Bowmaker Yeoman Racing Team banner by both John Surtees and Roy Salvadori in 1962 at Goodwood and the Grand Prix de Bruxelles.
Subsequently retained as a spare car for the Bowmaker Yeoman Racing Team before being bought by Tom Wheatcroft for his Donington Collection.
An exhibit at the Donington Collection for many decades, BRGP41 was eventually sold and entered the ownership of Mark Piercy who went on to race the car with V8 power in the HGPCA and at the Goodwood Revival.

Chassis OR03-88, understood to have competed in China.

A unique, factory specification Lotus 22 Twincam built new for hillclimbing by special request of first owner, Tom Elton. Campaigned from new in the British Hillclimb Championship. Coming from an ownership spanning 51 years, 22-TC-75 stands as one of the most clear Lotus 22s in existence. Restored and cared for by Simon Hadfield Motorsport, 22-TC-75 has been kept in exceedingly clean condition, presenting beautifully today.
Accompanied by a set of Lotus ‘Wobbly Web’ wheels and its original steering wheel along with an extensive history file including original correspondence from its first owner. Whether attacking the hills again or expanding potential use by setting up for Historic Formula Junior, 22-TC-75 will no doubt excite its new custodian and demonstrate why the model is reputed as a sweet-spot of Lotus’ production.




The Ex - Mike Knight, Monaco 5th Place Finishing
1967 Brabham BT21 Formula 3

Sold new to Winfield Racing for Mike Knight to campaign in European Formula 3 races in 1967.
Raced by Knight at circuits including Pau, Montjuïc Park, Montlhéry, Magny-Cours, Reims, Crystal Palace and Monaco, where it scored a 5th place finish along with podiums at Montjuïc and Magny-Cours.
Sold to Len Gibbs of Slade’s Garage in 1968 and retained by him for the rest of his life. Ultimately sold by Gibbs’ family in 1992 in unrestored condition and with complete history. Beautifully restored with a keen eye for detail by Andrew Tart Motor Engineers for current owner and period F3 star Mike Walker.
A regular in the British Historic Formula 3 scene for many years, remaining immaculate and a potential race winner at events including the Goodwood Members’ Meeting.

Extremely rare, original matched set of sand-cast Weber 38 DCN carburettors. Bought by the current owner from David Piper in 1973 and stored since. Described by Piper at time of purchase as having come from a specific original 250 GTO.

3x 128LM magnesium inlet manifolds in good condition - extremely rare.
