Il y a beaucoup de touristes anglais en Bretagne en été. Je les ai aidés avec leurs problèmes et j’ai organisé des jeux pour les enfants de l’hôtel – des Ecossais, des Allemands et des Français, bien entendu.

Le travail était fatigant. Mon patron était grand et très gros, aux cheveux roux. Il était aussi très aimable. Je m’entendais bien avec mes collègues.

Le weekend, je visitais un peu la région. Le samedi, je me promenais dans la forêt voisine. Le dimanche matin j’allais boire un chocolat chaud dans un café sur la place, où je lisais les journaux et où je bavardais avec les autres clients.

Mon séjour m’a beaucoup plu. Je me suis bien amusée. J’adore la France et les Français. Je voudrais étudier le français à la fac, peut-être devenir professeur de langues vivantes. Ou bien je travaillerai à l’étranger – on ne sait jamais!

J’ai vraiment aimé retourner à calais. J’ai beaucoup amélioré mon français et je crois que ce genre de voyage est in bon moyen de voyager à l’étranger sans trop dépenser.

L’été dernier je suis allée à St. Cyr en France avec l’équipe de badminton. St. Cyr, c’est notre ville jumelle. Elle est située dans le nord de la France, près de Paris.

Nous sommes allés en car et en ferry. La taversée de Douvres à Calais était très calme et courte. Cependant on était très fatigué après le long voyage de Bonnyrigg.

On est resté dix jours à St. Cyr. Moi, j’ai logé chez une jeune fille, qui était membre de l’équipe française. Elle s’appelait Anne et elle était très sympa et drôle.

Il y avait un concours de badminton pendant notre séjour. Les Ecossais ont gagné – c’était super! En plus, nous avons fait des excursions – on est allés à Paris et à un parc d’attractions en Belgique – c’était génial!

Ce que j’ai aimé le plus, c’était la journée à Paris. J’adore Paris! Ce que je n’ai pas aimé, c’était la nourriture. La plupart des Français ne sont pas végétariens comme moi!

L’année prochaine l’équipe de St. Cyr viendra à Bonnyrigg. Nous allons organiser un disco et un barbecue. Ce sera formidable!

L’année dernière, au mois d’août, je suis allé à Nantes en France pour participer à un événement sportif organisé par mon lycée. Mon père m’a accompagné. Nous y avons voyagé en avion jusqu’à Paris et puis en train de Paris à Nantes. Le voyage était assez ennuyeux. J’ai passé le voyage en avion à lire et à écouter mon iPod. J’ai aussi dormi un peu parce que j’avais dû me lever tôt et j’étais fatigué mais le TGV était tellement impressionnant que j’ai passé le voyage entier à regarder le paysage par la fenêtre.

J’y ai passé une semaine et j’ai fait beaucoup d’activités sportives. J’ai gagné une médaille d’or dans le concours de golf. Mon père était très fier. J’ai aussi eu l’occasion d’apprendre à faire de l’escrime, ce que j’ai trouvé très intéressant mais fatigant aussi. Je ne l’avais jamais fait auparavant !

J’ai rencontré beaucoup de gens en France. Ils étaient tous très sympa et nous nous sommes tous bien amusés. Le soir, nous sommes tous allés à la plage. Je me suis fait beaucoup de nouveaux amis.

Ce que j’ai aimé le plus en France c’était la nourriture. La seule chose que je n’ai pas aimé c’était l’hôtel parce que ma chambre était trop petite. La ville de Nantes était assez belle – c’était très animé et il y avait un bon choix de magasins.

A mon avis, mon expérience en France m’aidera à devenir plus indépendant 21

L’anneé dernière, j’ai participé à une conférence internationale de jeunesse à Lyon en France. J’y suis allée en avion et en train – j’ai pris l’avion à Paris et puis le TGV de Paris à Lyon. J’ai dormi dans l’avion parce que j’étais un peu fatiguée mais le TGV était tellement rapide et impressionant que j’ai passé le voyage entier à regarder par le fenêtre et parler aux autres passagers.

A Lyon, j’ai logé dans un petit hôtel en banlieue. C’était très propre et confortable mais ce que j’ai aimé le plus, c’était que le personnel était très serviable et aimable. Par contre, en ce qui concerne la nourriture, j’étais un peu déçue c’était très mauvais.

La conférence avait lieu en centre ville, donc pour y aller je devais prendre le

bus, ce qui était un peu embêtant parce qu’il faisait très chaud.

La conférence finissait chaque jour à 14h donc on avait pas mal de temps libre. J’en ai profité pour faire du tourisme avec d’autres jeunes de la conférence. Le soir, nous sommes sortis manger et le vendredi soir, nous sommes allés à une disco. Les autres jeunes étaient tous très sympa et j’ai fait beaucoup de nouveaux amis de toutes nationalités. Je m’entendais surtout bien avec une jeune italienne qui s’appelait Carla.

En conclusion, c’était une expérience inoubliable et ce qui m’a intéressé le plus c’était d’apprendre la culture d’autres pays tels que l’Afrique du Sud et la Chine. Je pense que grâce à ma participation à cette conférence, je serai plus tolérante et plus consciente de certains problèmes internationaux tels que le racisme et la pauvreté. (270 words)
