Your Voice Matters: Encouraging Civic Participation
In the United States, we are blessed to have the opportunity to have a voice in our civic processes. My Community Service Initiative highlights the importance of civic engagement, especially for youth. I’ve used my platform in the Miss America Organization to encourage civic engagement throughout communities and register voters. My C.S.I. also includes voter pre-registration for youth and school presentations, teaching about our civic processes.
WHAT DOES STYLE MEAN TO YOU?
Style provides inner and outer confidence and helps me put my best foot forward every day. I think it’s commendable that the Miss America Organization encourages women to feel beautiful through style because style isn’t just about the clothes you’re wearing, it’s about how you choose to show up everyday to represent yourself.
WHAT DOES SERVICE MEAN TO YOU?
MY THREE GREATEST ASSETS
Authentic | Friendly | Tenacious
The Miss America Organization has provided me with many opportunities to serve throughout the state of Utah. From serving with the Children’s Justice Center, to volunteering with the Special Olympics, I have found so much joy in serving those around me. I believe that service is the foundation to leadership and is crucial to improving the world around us. @macymackk
