Embracing Differences

A motto I choose to live by is “Love First, Understand Later”. I am an active volunteer for various organizations including Project Rainbow, Human Rights Campaign, and Youth Futures homeless shelter where many children at the shelter are LGBTQ+ and at-risk youth. “Embrace with Grace” is a show I created where unique individuals are interviewed. I believe that negativity in the world will decrease if we are willing to open our eyes, hearts, and minds.
WHAT DOES SERVICE MEAN TO YOU?
Service is my favorite pillar. It means sharing your heart, talents, and efforts with others without expecting anything in return. When we serve others I believe we serve ourselves. I have met so many incredible people and organizations through serving in this organization for the last 6 years.
WHAT DOES SCHOLARSHIP MEAN TO YOU?
As a D1 student-athlete, scholarships mean everything to me. Empowering women to further their education through scholarships helps them accomplish their goals. I have won over $20,000 in scholarships through MAO which greatly assists me in obtaining my Masters Degree in Social Work.
