BECOME A CONTESTANT

Competing for the Miss Utah Opportunity is a process that requires hard work, talent, and personal commitment. Each year, hundreds of local contestants work to make a difference around the state of Utah as they develop awareness and opinions of current issues, establish personal social impact initiatives, and perform various service in their communities.

Participating in the Miss Utah Scholarship Organization is one of the most rewarding, life-changing experiences available to Utah’s young women, even if they don’t win a local title. In 2022, over $200,000 in scholarship funds were awarded to Miss Utah’s local contestants. To be eligible to compete, young women must be a U.S. citizen between 18-28 years of age, meet any residency requirements set forth by their local competition, and be willing and able to fulfill the titleholder requirements.

Kristin Chenoweth, Vanessa Williams, Sarah Palin, Carrie Underwood, and others participated in Miss America’s local competitions. The skills and talents they developed as local candidates in the Miss America Organization prepared them for the successful careers they lead now. You could be next!
