Faith Cometh One of the most exciting things about being a Christian is to understand that we don?t just ?have faith?, we literally ?live by faith.? Faith is oxygen for our spiritual lungs in a world that is fallen; the bible declares that ?this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith? (1 John 5:4). With this in mind, we as believers can use our faith as a tool to conquer anything that we might face in this world?s system. Things ranging from acquiring a new job to overcoming the worse of diseases are all obtainable ?by faith.? Since faith is what we live by, one should ask, ?how do we get more faith?? According to Romans 10:17 ?faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.? I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for believers to understand that the main source of faith in their lives is going to always be hearing the Word of God. You absolutely cannot grow faith without hearing the Word of God. It is equivalent to a body builder expecting to have bigger muscles without lifting weights. It just doesn?t happen. Most of our lifestyles are not conducive to hearing the Word because Satan does his very best to get us busy with the affairs of daily living. If we be honest, there is always something else to do, other than sitting and hearing the Word preached to us.
Faith Cometh Cont' Therefore, we must become strategic so that we get plenty of Word downloaded into our inner man so that faith can come. Here are a few suggestions to get more Word infused into your daily affairs: 1. Wake up an hour earlier than usual three times a week and listen to a faith message while the house is still quiet. 2. Play the Word in your car while riding into work and coming home in the evening; refrain from always listening to music or talk radio. 3. Make a quality decision to put 30 minutes a day into your schedule that is set aside for bible reading; we schedule everything else, don?t let life?s business ruin your faith time.
As you spend time in the Word, you will notice that it becomes more and more enjoyable to dig into revelation knowledge of faith. Every time that I either read the bible or listen to a message, I know that my measure of faith is growing and this is exciting to me. Remember, we can?t wait until a challenging situation comes and then immerse ourselves into the Word of God. Better, we should have such a Word regimen that challenging situations either never get to us or are simple to solve because we have so much faith on reserve. I encourage you to take your faith walk so seriously that you literally began to see everything that you need and/or desire being obtained ?by faith?, after all faith is what we live by. As we are near ing the eve of his 8th Pastor al Anniver sar y celebr ation, I would like to share a few words of honor to the love of my life, the father of our children and the pastor of our incredible church! My pastor- husband car r ies well the great responsibility of shepherding God?s people. He preaches multiple times each week, visits the sick, provides counsel on basically ever y situation known to man and is actively involved in the mor al issues within our city. He sincerely loves people and it shows in the multiple ways in which he ser ves our congregation so selflessly. He also car r ies well the great responsibility of husband and father. He provides for our home, keeps us laughing and is always so helpful to me with our children. Our Pastor conquer s my hear t in so many ways because of his sacr ificial, humble and unwaver ing commitment to our church, our family and most impor tant, our Lord, Jesus Chr ist. Being a pastor ?s wife is not always easy, but after nearly 12 year s of mar r iage and 8 year s of ministr y, I am still thankful to be his! I love you ?Dear ?. I pr ay the Lord continues to strengthen and increase you and give you the desires of your hear t. I also pr ay this year ?s anniver sar y is the best to date! You deser ve it! 1. Keep God fir st in all that you do; pr ay ever yday. 2. Remember you're a Chr istian at all times. 3. Listen to your parents and teacher s. 4. Do your homework and study
for tests. 5. Go to bed early; you need your rest! 6. Star t strong and finish strong! 7. Remember you can all do things through Chr ist that strengthens you! 8. Because you represent Chr ist, dress appropr iately at all times. 9. To gain fr iends, you must fir st show your self fr iendly. 10. Remember who you are and whose you are!

A Day of H onor Acts 28:10 - They also honored us in many ways; and when we depar ted, they provided such things as were necessar y Pastor 's Anniver sar y is a special time that KCC has set aside to honor Pastor Roger s, Fir st Lady Roger s, and the children for the hard work, sacr ificial dedication and continuous ser vice that is provided to the entire congregation. God has entr usted Pastor with many assignments concer ning the People of God. One of God?s most precious assignments is the spir itual well- being of His children. It is an assignment that Pastor has mastered.
Pastor labor s in the Word of God providing us with fresh, relevant, accur ate, and timely preaching and teaching. He stands proclaiming the Word of God and God?s standards in our Biblically bankr upted community. In addition to prepar ing the Word, he gives tirelessly, pr aying for us, meeting with us, and counseling us into spir itual and physical health and prosper ity. It is appropr iate to set aside a special time each year to give recognition and affir mation to Pastor and the Fir st Family. It?s why God has instr ucted us to recognize His ser vants. ?Let the elder s who r ule well be considered wor thy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching? (1 Timothy 5:17).
