Mark 6:31 "And He said unto them, “Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure, even so much as to eat." God bless you church family and partners! Can you believe that we have come down to the end of another year? We are literally in the fourth quarter of 2020 and it seems like yesterday when we were starting the year off; time flies! The fact that time moves so swiftly is such a profound reminder to enjoy the abundant life that God has provided for us. Much like myself, many Believers have struggled at times to take time for “leisure.” Leisure can be defined as “free time”, that is, time that is not accounted for in any other category of your life. When we have leisure, our brain can stop thinking through that familiar “to do list”, enabling us time to literally think about “nothing.” God’s people need leisure. In our theme passage Jesus’ disciples where moving around so much that the Bible states, not only did they have no leisure, they did not even have time to eat! This is still a major problem for Christians today who are busy about the things of God. We have to take better care of ourselves. Did you know according to scripture, leisure is a commandment? Notice what God said to His children in Exodus 20:8-10: 8 Remember the
sabbath day, to keep it holy.9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work. The Sabbath day is a day of “rest”, and God was very clear in stating that we should not do any work during this time. It is so crucial to adopt God’s method of leisure, which is resting every seventh day. Observe the following 3 reasons why you should seek out leisure: 1. Your Body Requires It – your immune system, as well as other parts of your body, repair and become stronger with rest. Many people become ill due to being sleep deprived. Be intentional to give your body necessary breaks. 2. Your Mental Health Requires It – When you are mentally and emotionally spent, you tend to be more susceptible to difficult feelings, which can lead to feelings of depression and other negative emotions. Your mind needs to have moments when it is not preoccupied with what you need to do next; this is so therapeutic for your mental wellness. Your family, friends,
co-workers and other relationships improve when you are not short and irritable. Be intentional to give your mind a break, often. 3. God Said Do It! – There must be those resolutions that we come to that say, “if God said do it, it must be important.” Rest is not an option, it is a commandment. I tend to think that Godknew what He was doing when he mademankind. He knows that for the purpose of our overall well-being, we must rest. One of the greatest weapons of our enemy is to “wear the saints out (Daniel 7:25).” Remember, “do not cooperate with the devil”. Overall, know that God loves you and has a plan for your life. Leisure is a crucial part of you having the energy to finish your assignment. As we approach the Holidays, take some time off, make time for leisure and love on your sweet family during this time. It is time to have some “free time!” With Love, Pastor With Love, Pastor Gabe
Salvation Prayer If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray the following prayer in faith, and you will be saved! Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. According to Romans 10: 9-10, Jesus I ask you to come into my heart and be Lord over my life. Your word say that "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead.
I AM SAVED!

TIPS
FOR VIRTUAL LEARNING by Lady Rogers
arlier this year, teachers, Eparents and students were met
with the complexity and challenges of virtual learning and while hopes of returning to school as “normal” feels teetering, the fact remains, much of everything about school life has changed. For many teachers, learning how to adapt curriculum to a complete digital platform has been difficult. For parents, balancing virtual learning into the mix of an already busy family life has been challenging. My heart has particularly gone out to our children and other students who are having to face a school year that none of us ever wanted. Many have had to adjust to the loss of sports, not being able to see friends and teachers they missed over the summer and adapting to an “online platform”. Students thrive on structure, predictability and healthy social interactions, but virtual learning has taken these necessary components away and has left many students to experience a real sense of grief. I would like to offer the following tips to help students enjoy school despite these changes. 1. Consistent schedule – Maintain a consistent schedule
that in many ways reflects a typical school day. 2. Take Breaks – Work in meaningful 5 – 10 minute breaks during the day. Ideally, when possible, getting outside for fresh air is therapeutic. 3. Dedicated school space – Even if it’s a space at the kitchen table or a desk setup in their bedroom, a dedicated space for work promotes focus. (A desk set-up in their bedroom is not best for all students, especially when monitoring online usage is necessary). 4. Family time – Establish a dedicated time each week for the family to spend time together doing something fun. This is something the family should look forward to. I encourage virtual learning families to maintain a Philippians 4:8 disposition during this season. Talk about and highlight only the good and leave absolutely no room for negativity. Jesse and Nina Griffin joined Kingdom Christian Church in October 2019. Jesse spends his time working as a Network Fiber Engineer and Nina as a Pre-Nursing student. During their free time, they enjoy family time, bible study, game night, hiking, traveling, and reading. When asked what led them to join KCC, Nina stated “Pastor Rogers preached in South Carolina at a church I attended and I never forgot him and First Lady Rogers! When my husband's work relocated him to North Carolina, I immediately found an old message of Pastor Rogers and played it for him. Right at that very moment I knew KCC had two new members. So on our first visit my husband asked what I thought, I nodded in agreement and we joined!

Its Harvest Time! These powerful words ring in my ears as I sit and reflect on the great things and even greater God has done in my life this year alone; 2020 was one for the books!
On June 18, 2020, God spoke a prophetic word through Pastor Rogers…"Kim, house…. Do something by faith… God is accelerating things." That night, I signed up to begin the home buying process with Mrs. Pamela White from the Kingdom Property Group. She told me to open a house account and put in $10 towards my house. I didn't know at the time, but obedience and that small act of faith would turn into my biggest faith product to date! Within a month's time I had signed the contract for my new house and had a set close date. Glory to God! Wow, God is faithful! Faith really does work!! I am so thankful to God for His faithfulness and to the Man and Woman of God (Pastor & First Lady) for teaching and equipping me with the tools to “stand on it.” I am also extremely grateful for the discipleship partner model, as I was discipled and encouraged throughout the entire process! What a blessing it is to be IN THE KINGDOM! Harvest time has truly come, and this is only the beginning... Kim Collins
