IN THIS ISSUE
through this fleeting year that you have seen good success! As we are now well into quarter two of the year, I want to encourage you to only be strong!
God’s instruction to the Believer is constantly to “be strong”! Ephesians 6:10 tells us “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” Being strong requires a certain disposition and buoyancy. This verse should be a relief, because it emphasizes that we are not required to be strong in and of ourselves, yet we are to be strong in the power of His might. If you are currently experiencing challenging or difficult times, you can stand on the Word of God and have a strong disposition because you are strong in the Lord and not in yourself. You do not have to have all the answers, or all the abilities, but you can solely rely on the Lord's power and might. As you relinquish the burdens and cares to the Lord, you can rest on the fact that everything will work out just fine!
As you persist in only being strong, I want to compel you to handle your problems but don’t carry them! The Bible tells us in Mark 4:18-19 that the cares of this world choke the Word. Consider what cares you have been carrying that are causing the Word of God to not be fruitful in your life. After you have identified those cares, I challenge you to cast them on the Lord (1 Peter 5:7)! Once you have casted those cares on the Lord, “only be strong and very courageous” (Joshua 1:7).
Family and friends, as you remain strong in the Lord, I pray that you experience abundant joy, peace, and favor! I pray Ephesians 3:20 is seen throughout your life as you rely fully on the promises of God!
With Love, Pastor Gabe

The Grace House Project
In June of 2022, our Pastor, Dr. Gabriel Rogers, officially began construction of what is now called the Grace House. The Lord put it in his heart to build a home for unwed moms and ladies. This mighty advancement in the Kingdom of God will be a place of restoration and hope. As the women walk up the stairs into the Grace House, they will be enveloped in an atmosphere of love, dignity, and grace.
This home was meticulously designed to include all the necessary items that promote rehabilitation such as a counseling room, a large kitchen to encourage fellowship, and a beautiful patio for those quiet moments with God. What a privilege it is to be a part of this tremendous project that will touch the lives of so many women and children.
As of April 19, 2023, we are pleased to announce that the official Grace House dedication and tape cutting ceremony is scheduled for Mother’s Day, May 14, 2023. That is such a befitting date and we are so excited to invite all of our members, friends, and partners to join us for this wonderful celebration. It will be a day filled with joy and praise as we glorify God on this momentous occasion.
“AND WHO WILL LISTEN TO YOU IN REGARD TO THIS MATTER?
FOR AS IS THE SHARE OF HIM WHO GOES DOWN INTO THE BATTLE, SO SHALL HIS SHARE BE WHO STAYS BY THE PROVISIONS AND SUPPLIES; THEY SHALL SHARE ALIKE.”

Thank you,Mothers
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12).
Christian mothers are a priceless, special gift from God. Throughout the Bible, we read about godly mothers who raised their children to become kings, queens and prophets, used mightily by God. Mothers like Jochebed, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Mary raised their sons to love, honor and serve God. These mothers, like the Proverbs 31 Woman, were committed, hardworking and resourceful to their family.
The ways in which Christian mothers demonstrate love for their families is invaluable. This month we will show how valued they are by honoring them for their contribution to making this world, and our homes, a better place. In His Word, God is clear about how we are to treat our mother, and father alike.
The fifth commandment has blessings attached to our treatment of parents and this commandment, along with its blessings, is repeated throughout the New Testament. The fifth commandment says, “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12). To honor means to “regard with great respect or high esteem”.
We are to honor our mother, regardless of age, circumstances, or the type of relationship we have with them and although we give special honor to her on Mother’s Day, our honor for them should extend throughout the year.
Now, there are some circumstances where a mother’s behavior is unhealthy and harmful. Even then, honor is still demonstrated, but with appropriate limitations. Young children can show honor for their mother through simple things like cleaning their room, assisting with housework and being obedient.
As a child grows older, honor can be shown by asking for advice, not thinking you know better and never speaking disrespectfully. As we move into adulthood, we honor our mother by helping them when needs arise, staying in touch with them and being a financial blessing.
Thank you, mothers. Your work and dedication to your family is not overlooked or forgotten. You are important. We love you!
