Well Done! BY:

PASTOR

ROGERS

MATTHEW 25:23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

One of the greatest markers of success in any pursuit is "the finish line." Needless to say, we came through some great finishes in 2019. What a tremendous blessing it is to have come through another year and be able to live to tell about it. If you are like me, you tend to always have ambition for the next level of success and while this mindset is great for accomplishing, it can also cause us to be dismissive of the things that we have already completed. One of the ways to avoid being nonchalant about the things that you have accomplished is to be mindful to acknowledge them. The Bible reads, "Publish His glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about amazing things he does" (Psalm 96:3 NLT). In other words, we should be so ready to talk about all that God has done and is doing in our lives. As I reflect over this past year within this ministry, I can truly say that we have been extremely successful by the grace of God. As a church we have walked through so many achievements both great and small. the physical facility has progressed dramatically with everything from a new digital sign, grounds improvements, new paint within the church, expansion to daily television and more of course, our current "debt free" community building project being underway. Even greater than our physical facility development, has been the comprehensive growth of the members within the church. This has been a year of tremendous open doors for God's people. We have members who in 2019 acquired new homes, new jobs, new engagements and a new outlook on life! The delivering Power of God has dramatically changed the lives of the Believers within our midst and for this we should be grateful. I wanted to encourage you to take some time at the end of 2019 and the start of 2020 to be reflective of just how far you have come in life.

There may still be some things in your life that remain to be accomplished; however, all of us have the testimony that we made it another year. I encourage you to do the following: 1. Write down everything that you accomplished this year. 2. Create a set time during your day to sit down and reflect on what was done 3. Finally, turn your list into a "praise list" and tell God thank you for each item that you write down. 4. Reflecting on your accomplishments will create a motivation for the next round of greatness that is sure to come. To every member and friend that is in the plan of God, I say to you, "well done thy good and faithful servant." AS you close out 2019 be sure to take some time to rest and recover because 2020 is definitely going to be a banner year of Vision and Glory! With Love, Pastor Gabe

Mediation Scripture: Nehemiah 6:3 AMP “I am doing a great work and cannot come down…”

Christmas Reflections

By: Lady Stephanie Rogers

It’s that time of year again! Around the world, many Christians are eagerly preparing to recognize and celebrate the virgin birth of our LORD, Jesus Christ. Christmas trees are adorned with beautiful ornaments, gifts are being purchased and wrapped and the sounds of Christmas ring throughout homes, malls and the streets. A beautiful blanket of snow would be the icing on the cake! Truly, this is the most joyous and wonderful time of the year! Additionally, for me, Christmas is also a time of solemn reflections as I ponder what the birth of my Lord means to me. Doubtless, I am so incredibly thankful for His birth! As I think about His birth and its impact upon my life, so many words come to mind; hope, peace, joy; but most of all, redemption. The true meaning of Christmas is what God did for us, in Christ. Matthew 1:21 records, “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Ever since the fall of man, God’s redemptive plan for humanity was always to send His Son. All of us have sinned, the Bible says (Romans 3:23). We have done things that are wrong, said things that we should not have said, and have entertained the wrong thoughts. Sin had destructive effects in our life and made us guilty before God. It also enslaved us and separated us from God, forever. BUT, when Jesus came “to save us from our sins”, things were reversed! That is GOOD NEWS! God loves you and me so much that He sent His Son to die for our sins affording us the opportunity to one day live with Him eternally (John 3:16; Romans 5:8). Hallelujah! The greatest gift of Christmas is to embrace the love of God by receiving the gift of His Son as Savior and LORD. If you have not done so, I invite you to ask Jesus into your heart. You will then have a “Merry Christmas”. Anticipating His Return, Lady Rogers

THE IMPORTANCE OF CELEBRATING CHRIST NOT SANTA KCC YOUTH MINISTRY "Santa is not real. He is just a man that dresses up himself. He puts on a fake beard and mustache. Jesus is the reason for the season!" Brielle Holmes "The importance of celebrating Christ is that you are celebrating His birth and you aren't celebrating something or someone that's not real. If you celebrate something that's not real it's like worshiping an idol. If Jesus wasn't born, we wouldn't have Easter or any of those kind of holidays and we wouldn't be saved." Brycen Branham "Santa Clause is not real, and he is not the reason for the season. He is not really the person we should be celebrating. It should be thought of like its your birthday and you would want to be celebrated and shown love; so it is the same for Jesus!' Addison White "Jesus died for us and Santa is not real. So you are pretty much worshiping something that'ts not real which can lead to the devil and not Jesus." Landen Johnson

Showing the Love of Christ

By Korina Pittman

Love, 1 John 4:8b says, “God is love”. Wow. God is love. It’s a truth that’s so simple, yet so profound. Many Christians don’t truly spiritually understand the love God has for His people and for people in general. This verse means exactly what it says and that is “God is love”, which also means anything outside of love is not God. God is patient, kind, loving, gentle, truthful, honest, merciful, stern, disciplined and disciplines, and so much more. Satan's lies have blinded many from receiving God’s love and truly knowing God’s love personally. It’s God who forgives us from our sins and casts them as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12), and like a father has pity on his children, so the Lord pities those that fear Him (Psalm 103:13). It’s God who causes us to evangelize to people and look on people with compassion (Matt 9:36); knowing that if I don’t mention Christ to them they might go to hell or might not have another opportunity to hear the Gospel. His word says, “By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments” (1 John 5:2). Our love for God is demonstrated in our love for one another. We can’t truly and sincerely love God without truly and sincerely loving people. Love looks out for one another. Love helps instead of hurts. Love warns instead of keeping silent. Love protects. Love tells us to love our enemies, and pray for those who spitefully use us (Luke 6:2728), and not start strife. Love hopes and rejoices with others without envying them. Hebrews 13:1 says, “let (or allow) brotherly love continue.” I admonish you to share the love of Christ by being like Him towards people and receive His love for ourselves.

5 TIPS TO ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS IN THE NEW YEAR

Betty June Betty June joined Kingdom Christian Church in 2018. Ms. June is a Front End Dining Room Host at Chick-Fil-A. In her free time, Ms. June enjoys reading and thirfting . When asked what led her to join KCC, Ms. June stated, "I have never been to a church that has taught the Word of God the way that Paster Gabe does. I came to visit my granddaughter, Cassey back in 2015, when KCC was located at the school. My spirit was so amazed with Pastor and First Lady and I knew immediately that I wanted to move to Charlotte, to be able to come to this church. Two years later, I was moving to Charlotte. This is one of the best things that has ever happened to me!"

Although success has various meanings to individuals, successful people have goals. Write the vision and make it plain (Habakkuk 2:2 KJV), is a biblical perspective on setting goals and achieving them. Habakkuk makes it clear that in order to fulfill a vision, goals must be clear and concise so that they can be executed. As we approach a new year, it is imperative that we set goals that lead to successful achievements. 1. Determine what is the motivation for achieving the goal. Knowing why you want to achieve the goal will help you remain focused. 2. Ensure that the goals that you set are: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and have deadlines. By setting these goals it provides the ability to reflect on how you are doing as you are implementing. 3. Write each goal down 4. Develop an action plan for each goal and identify the course of action required to achieve the goal. This course of action should include milestones and places where you can celebrate your progress. Also, be sure to include time to evaluate where you are. 5. Trust the process and stick to the plan. Do your best to follow the course of action that you created. Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) gives us this instruction, “Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. The most important tip to achieving your goals in the new year is to ensure your goals are in alignment with the will of God by always seeking Him first. If you are doing what God has called you to do, He will grace you to achieve all of your goals. Kendra Polk

Testimony: The Reeces' Journey to Homeowernship Five years ago, we lost our first home to foreclosure. During that time, Pastor Rogers kept this information confidential as he walked us through that process. Two years later, while living in an apartment, Pastor gave us a word of prophesy during a service at Harvest Church. He said, “It’s time to start looking for a home.” Shortly thereafter, we began the search and this time, we received godly counsel that we did not receive with our first home. Looking back to the first home buying process, we were unsure if it was really time for us to buy a home. During that time, we looked at others who had purchased a home and said to ourselves, “We want a house too." This time, we were sure to be Spirit-led. The biggest barrier we had to overcome during this home buying process was fear; not fear of owning a home, but fear of foreclosing again. Pastor Rogers provided encouragement and godly counsel that helped us through the entire process. He gave us the DVD series, “How to Believe God for a House” by the Copelands’. We also listened to faith messages like; “Stay in Faith”, “What Did God Say” and so many more. Seeing others be blessed with a home also encouraged us and we were genuinely happy for everyone. Early on and throughout our home buying process we would receive random texts with scriptures and house emojis. The prayers and support were remarkable. We focused on continuing to build our faith and really believing God. We paid off a lot of debt and there were not any major issues. We had a very good experience with Kingdom Property Group. Our realtor, Candace, was very helpful, from beginning to end. To God be the glory! The advice we would give others going through the home buying process would be: 1. Believe God and stay in FAITH! 2. Sow significant seeds. We sowed into the church, Pastor and First Lady Rogers, other ministries and into other people who were where we wanted to be. 3. As a husband, lead your family. Give your wife "confidence" in following you. 4. Listen to the word, meditate specifically on scriptures related to owning a home. To God be the Glory! Salvation Prayer If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray the following prayer in faith, and you will be saved! Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. According to Romans 10: 9-10, Jesus I ask you to come into my heart and be Lord over my life. Your word say that "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I AM SAVED!
