Getting Back Into The Routine by Pastor RogersÂ
"For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things,having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come" 1 Timothy 4:8
The older I become, the more I realize that successful living requires a routine. I define “routine” as the way one conducts him or herself, over and over again, with the expectation of a desired result. For example, a body builder “routinely” works the same muscles, eats the right foods and adapts a regimen of cardio, with the knowledge that this “routine” will create the desired result of a nice physique. Physical exercise is great, but our spiritual success is all the more important when it comes to our routine. Paul said it best in 1 Timothy 4:8: 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come”. We should be paying special attention to our spiritual routine of growing in godliness. Primary ingredients of our daily regimen or spiritual success should include prayer, thanksgiving, reading the Word, hearing the word, doing the word and saying the word constantly. There should be a solid routine each day that acknowledges God as being first and most important in our lives. In addition to our Christian spiritual practices, our daily schedule requires a healthy regimen if we are to be successful. We are in the infamous
“Back to School Season” and adjustments from a summer leisure mentality, to an academic mindset are needful for all of those involved (students and parents). I have the privilege of managing four children, along with my sweet wife, and we understand far too well the necessity of a routine. I encourage you to do the following to adapt your family to a healthy routine this school year: 1. Have a Family Meeting- discuss with your children how things will be different from the summer break now that they are returning to school. 2. Create a Daily Schedule - writing things down are so important to avoid key steps. 3. Stick To the Daily Schedule - there is no sense in having a map if you do not follow it. 4. Go to bed "on time" - your body heals while you rest; sleep is not optional. 5. Make plenty of space for God - I recommend putting Him first in your day. 6. Be sure to make time for leisure we must be rewarded, no one can work all of the time. 7. Look forward to the rewards - a godly routine will lead to a bountiful harvest of life satisfaction and balance.
I admonish you to not take your routine lightly. The more intentional we are in our daily regimen, the greater we position ourselves for success. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul when he said "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me", Philippians 4:13. You are unstoppable in God, so get ready to do well as you get back into the flow! With Love, Pastor Gabe
Salvation Prayer If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray the following prayer in faith, and you will be saved! Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. According to Romans 10: 9-10, Jesus I ask you to come into my heart and be Lord over my life. Your word say that "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead.

He blessed me with a new job, the salary of my dreams, and He did it in a way I could not have put together myself. Meet the Kincaids! Roz Kincaid joined KCC in November 2016 along with her daughter, Jairah, and her mother, Mrs. Fruit. Roz currently works as a Healthcare Revenue Specialist, she enjoys encouraging others, DIY home projects, and literacy. When asked what led her and her family to join KCC, she stated "I was invited by my neighbors who are like family several times. When I finally visited I quickly realized that this was the place for my family and I to grow and help others to do likewise."
time I was not looking for a new job. But one day I came across a job posting online that caught my attention. The first time I saw it, I did not apply. My thoughts were, “I have a pretty good job right now.” Later, I saw the same posting and I remembered a word Pastor spoke at an alter call. He said to the congregation “just because you just got a new job doesn’t mean the God doesn’t have better.” I took that word for myself and seeing the job posting again sometime later, I decided to apply. Less than a week later they reached out to me for an interview. Within two weeks, I received an offer for the job. I have never experienced such a quick turnaround for a job. Even the interviews were so seamless that I secretly wondered if these people were angels. Needless to say, God gave me extreme favor. I also recently closed on my new home! All I can say is that GOD IS FAITHFUL! Habakkuk 2:3 came so alive to me during this time; “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.” Thank you LORD!

The 5 E s of Good Spiritual Health by Lady Rogers
Psalm 63:1 "O God, You are my God;Early will I seek You;My soul thirsts for You;My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty landWhere there is no water."
Our church family recently completed our first of many, Psalm 63:1 Prayer Challenge. The purpose of this prayer challenge was to reignite our prayer life so that the fundamental spiritual disciplines of prayer and Bible reading would become a “normal” practice. With this goal in mind, we embarked upon 30 days of quality time with the Lord, for at least 20 minutes a day with zero distractions. Now that the prayer challenge has concluded, there are certain practices that must remain in place in order to foster this pattern of spiritual health and growth. Listed below are the 5 E’s of Good Spiritual Health. 1. E – Eat Everyday– No human being can survive without eating daily. Our spiritual life is the same. No intake of the Word, no spiritual growth. Read the Bible, every day! (1 Peter 2:12; Matthew 4:4) 2. E – Exercise Regularly– Don’t just hear, DO! Put into practice everything that you read and learn from the Word. (James 1:22)
3. E – Establish a clean environment– Watch your ingates! Avoid all aspects of carnality and anyone or anything that would weaken your spiritual immune system. (Galatians 5:16) 4. E – Embrace a loving home– Engage in discipleship! Stay connected to church so that you can benefit from fellowship and pastoral teaching and discipleship. Remember, live streaming does not take the place of church attendance. (Hebrews 10:25, Jeremiah 3:15) 5. E – Examine your spiritual health regularly– Just as a child grows in size, stature and maturity, so must we. Are you growing “as you should”? (Hebrews 5:12 – 14) My prayer is that each of you will press into God as never before and continue onward towards spiritual growth! First Lady Stephanie Rogers
“Embracing The Kingdom Man” By Nicholas Halmon The Kingdom man book and video series during the month of May went extremely well especially with it being on the latter end of our informative “Conquer Series” group during the month of April. Pastor Tony Evans has spearheaded a powerful initiative that is very needed among the men in the body of Christ today. The group very much blessed me personally and gave me more of the necessary information that I needed on my journey towards marriage.
Elder Melvin Branham did an excellent job of leading our group of men in the discussion for the month. We probed through many different topics and questions ranging from marriage, leadership in the home, parenting, biblical ethics for life, etc. One of our themes from coffee and a bible called “Take Action” carried directly over to this group discussion as our men have taken on the role that not many in the world today see as the truth or even necessary for living the right way unto God. We
have to continue to rise to the occasion that is before us and live the bold lives that Christ has called us to fulfill. Some questions we discussed through are listed below. 1. Are you a man who is fulfilling your destiny and able to satisfy the women in your life? 2. Are you a preserver of culture and a champion of society, one who keeps out evil and ushers in good? 3. When you protect the women under your care, can she do little to resist you?
Chicken With Pineapple Kabobs By Jon Austin
Ingredients 18 oz. Can drained pineapple chunks. 1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander 1 clove garlic crushed
1 tsp salt 1 tsp chilli powder 1 Tblsp chopped cilantro
About 2 chicken breast cut into cubes . 2 Red bell peppers cut into squares .
1 large onion also cut into squares. Cherry tomatoes if desired
Instructions Drain pineapples. Don't throw away the juice. In a large bowl combine cumin,coriander, garlic, chili powder &salt. Add about 1/2 cup pineapple juice Cut chicken into cubes then add the spices. Let marinate for about 2hrs. Cut peppers and onions into squares. Arrange chicken and vegetables in any order you like but put pineapple chunks sparingly in between pieces. Brush kabobs with oil and put on grill for about 10 minutes. Turning kabobs every other minute.
Pre soak wood skewers in water overnight. And do not put meat or vegetables all the way to the bottom.

"Attack On Our Children"
The Joys of Fatherhood: That Special Feeling Every time one of my children would lay one of their precious head’s on my shoulder or chest, I would get that special feeling! You know—that feeling that makes your heart melt. That feeling that reminds you of the special bond shared between father and child. How we can get lost in our love for one another no matter what! How, even though we lose them sometimes—especially our teenagers—they always return to our special place, designed to bring them comfort, warmth, and joy. Even to this day, there is almost no greater feeling than to look in my children’s eyes and see that trust, hope, confidence, and belief that they have in me no matter what. The pure joy I feel when they still greet me with their big, bright smiles as I walk in the house can’t be measured in words. With two talented, beautiful, and maturing teenage daughters, as well as a handsome, intelligent, and lively 11 year-old son, my wife and I have been blessed to experience the many milestones our children have reached. Each experience would add to the list of excitement, appreciation, and joy I had. I never imagined these feelings of fatherhood could be topped. That is, however, until I gave my life to the Lord. You see, prior to my salvation, I gave my kids everything I thought a good father should give: my love, my support, my devotion, and my protection. For me, then, there was nothing greater than those qualities given and received. And although these attributes are important, they pale in comparison to seeing my kids develop their own relationship with Christ Jesus. So while I relish every moment I have shared with my kids, none surpasses sharing with them a father who is now a man of God! I still get that warm feeling when my kids shower me with their hugs and kisses, or when they eagerly share with me their exciting news. There is nothing better, however, than when I see them seeking the love of God, embracing the love of God, and sharing the love of God. The greatest joy of fatherhood is sharing with my family the new man in Christ that I am (2 Cor. 5:17), and witnessing the new persons in Christ they are. For me, there’s no better feeling than that! Standing For Christ Opposition is something that every true Christian faces, especially teens. As the world says, teenage years are the time to experiment and try new things. But as Christians and believers of Jesus Christ, we are aware of the promises God gives us if we live in purity. Matthew 5:8 states that, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." This is a promise that God gives us, which means if we fulfill what He asks of us, then we will be able to see him in heaven. Â Purity is not only in the aspect of celibacy, but also to be morally clean without any fault. So as Christians, we must constantly check our hearts and cleanse our minds of all wickedness and focus on the things of God. It may seem hard being a teenage Christian because of peers, friends, teachers, or anyone who is a non-believer, but, as 1 Peter 5:9 puts it, "Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world." Peter tells this to all Christians, that the enemy tries to devour us, but we must increase our reliance on God and stand for what we believe in. At the end of it all, we all must face judgement from the Father alone. So what we do now, even as a teenager, matters. By Morgan Johnson
