Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes..." . Hello Church Family and Partners, I pray that this letter finds you doing well. Earlier this year, I preached a message entitled “Stay Salty.” This message had as its central focus of Christians being the salt preservative Christ calls us to be and being motivated to share the Gospel with the lost. The integrity of a product is based on the ingredients remaining the same. Based on what the world has experienced since 2020, it is imperative for Christians to win as many souls to Christ as we can. Let’s face it, it was the last command Christ gave us which was to “go and make disciples”. We are halfway through the year, it’s high time to get busy about your assignment and The Father’s business. I want to leave you with four things that motivate me to share The Gospel and stay salty. Paul said it best in Romans 1:16 “I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes..." Their Eternal Life: When I see a soul, I say to myself here is someone who could inevitably go to hell. They could eternally spend the rest of their life in hell’s fire. Their Quality of Life: Whenever I see someone, I say this is someone’s husband, father, or someone we can raise up for a biblical cause.

Being able to see people beyond where they are when you encounter them. In addition to being saved from hell’s fire, they are saved from poverty and lack, sickness and disease, alongside many other promises listed in the Word of God. Length of Life: Psalm 91:16 says, “with long life I will satisfy him”. When we share The Gospel, a person could be battling a chronic illness, but when exposed to the name of Jesus, they get healed and have extended life on earth. Getting people saved has a trickle-down effect that can impact their posterity positively all because The Gospel got to them. Impact of Life: You see people as an individual(s) who can impact the kingdom. At the beginning of each day, make it your business to become more self-actualized to share The Gospel with the lost. God is so gracious and kind towards us, and He wants us to take note of the responsibility of winning souls for Him. Remember, it is time to become productive so that you can look back on this year and be able to have a warm sense of accomplishment. Let’s win souls for Jesus!

“AND WHO WILL LISTEN TO YOU IN REGARD TO THIS MATTER? FOR AS IS THE SHARE OF HIM WHO GOES DOWN INTO THE BATTLE, SO SHALL HIS SHARE BE WHO STAYS BY THE PROVISIONS AND SUPPLIES; THEY SHALL SHARE ALIKE.” 1 SAMUEL 30:24 AM

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT Max Knutson joined KCC in December 2020. He enjoys being a Scoutmaster for troop 42 and shooting hoops at the park. When asked what led him to join KCC, he stated "One day towards MAX KNUTSON the end of November, I had a meeting with a former friend at Panera Bread. Sometime during that meeting Pastor Rogers came over to our table and said he felt compelled to evangelize to us. So we got to talking and I was telling him how I used to go to Bible studies on Tuesdays and Wednesday nights but I stopped for some reason and I had a desire to start going back to church on Sundays. He then told us he was the pastor of Kingdom Christian Church and invited us to church and gave us his personal phone number. When I got to the church, Pastor Rogers must’ve seen me come in because he said something along the lines of praise God! He tells the congregation about how he met me at Panera Bread and asks them to welcome me. At that time, the whole congregation stands up and claps for me. From what I can remember, I felt more welcomed than I have ever been. From that moment, I started liking the church."

Strengthening YOUR FAITH WALK by Lady Rogers

he Bible is clear that in the last days perilous times will come (2 Timothy 3:1). You would have to be totally ignorant and void of spiritual discernment to not see and conclude that perilous times are here. Perilous times can be defined as strength reducing times; or a time of strength reduction; or a time when the strength of people will be diminished. This is indeed the spiritual climate of today. For this reason, perilous times call for strong faith. The times in which we live demand that we be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10), that we are appropriately attired or suited up (Ephesians 6:13 – 18) and that our faith walk is strengthen. I define the “faith walk” as simply, a Christ-honoring life that is only lived by faith (Romans 1:17). In his letter to the church at Thessalonica, Apostle Paul expressed a thankfulness to God that their faith was growing exceedingly (2 Thessalonians 1:3). This means their faith walk was increasing way above the norm. They were going from thirty, to sixty to one hundred – fold. This is the type of life that is the secret to strength in perilous times. Satan will do everything in his power to wear us out, little by little, very subtly and gradually, until there is nothing more left of us (Daniel 7:25 AMP). He is the enemy of our soul and he wants us drained of all power and strength. For this reason, we must know how to maintain our strength in the midst of it all. Commit to the following in order to strengthen your faith walk.

Increase your intake of the Word – Satan’s threat assessment against you is based on the amount of Word you read, believe and act on. The Word of God MUST become a vital and integral part of your life. Strengthen your prayer life – Colossians 4:2 (AMP) says, “Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving”. Devotion implies something you have an allegiance to; something you are committed to and steadfast in. You MUST be constant and committed to a quality prayer life. Attend church regularly – During these perilous times, you must find, join and connect with a Spirit-filled church, led by a Spirit-filled pastor. Too many don’t need much of an excuse to stay home from church, but don’t let inconsistent church attendance be your customary practice. Church attendance is critical to your spiritual development. God has provided everything we need to be victorious! BE STRONG!

Trusting God Relinquishing Control Of Your Life Written by: Reginald Harper, Jr. Since I was a teenager, one of my favorite verses has been Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” I could mutter it off as if it was written on the back of my hands. However, even though I had this verse memorized, as many Christians do, I didn’t have a full understanding of this passage of Scripture. As humans, our tendency is to try to work things out, calculate how they will happen, and hope for the best. As I’m sure you’ve heard, a very common phrase is “If you want it done right, do it yourself,” yet that is far from the truth. To take it a step further, think of a time where you asked someone to do something for you, but they may have taken a little longer than you expected, or you didn’t know if they’d come through. I’m sure your immediate reaction was to micromanage or keep asking questions until they got it to you. In its simplest form, this is a lack of trust. And unfortunately, because this is our tendency, .

Christians often do the same thing with God. You see, we may shout in church because the Holy Spirit is present, and say “Amen” when Pastor says something pertaining to our situation, but if during the other six days of the week we’re questioning God by saying “Why hasn’t it come yet,” trying to put together a scenario in which our desired outcome happens, and losing sleep because we’re worrying about how something will occur, we are not bearing the fruit of trust in God – and even greater, we are not showing that we have faith in God, and therefore, we are not pleasing Him. So, what does trusting God look like? Mark 4:26-27 reads “And He said, ‘The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.’” There are a few things that stand out about this man. First, he scattered his seed. What does scattering our seed look like in our case?

Speaking the Word as it pertains to our situation, and believing it! Mark 11:24 says “… Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” So the first step in our process is the prayer of faith – and when you ask for it in prayer, believe it! Second, the sower slept! He didn’t go to bed worrying about whether his seed would sprout, or if he watered it with the right amount of pH – he got a good night’s rest! Believe it or not, sound sleep can be a sign of trust in God. If we lean to our own understanding, we may lose a few hours over a decision that has to be made, but if we trust God with handling it, He will give us sweet sleep. Finally, he didn’t know how it happened. Because he trusted God with the situation, he didn’t try to trace God, nor did he try to make something happen on his own. He truly relinquished control to God’s order of things. When we’ve followed the instructions God has given us, we can fully trust that He is faithful to perform.
