Which Way Are You Going?
When I write books I often begin by reminding the readers of God’s love for them. As I open this letter, I am compelled to remind you of God’s love for you As we take an introspective look to evaluate which way you have been going this first half of the year, I want you to remember that you are loved by God and He desires to see you prosper in His plans for your life (Jeremiah 29:11)
Reaching the midpoint of the year calls for a thorough self evaluation Yes, it is a good practice to evaluate those New Year’s resolutions or vision boards you have created However, today I want to compel you to evaluate your spiritual growth. I recently taught a message to my local church body entitled, Which Way Are You Going? I debunked the common misconception that one can be stagnant in their growth. The truth of the matter is that you are either going forward or backwards (Jeremiah 7:24).
Take a moment and reflect on whether or not you have progressed or regressed. Has your growth been evident to all (1 Timothy 6:15) or are there some areas in which you have gone backwards? If you have found that you have regressed, take note of the things that caused you to get off track; whether it is wrong associations (people), a traumatic event, or a wrong mindset (belief systems). It is imperative to note that regression leads to backsliding. If you have found yourself in the process of regression, I encourage you to simply repent and turn back to God. After you have repented, humble yourself (Micah 6:8), ask for the right path (Jeremiah 6:16), and trust the grace of God to catch up (Jeremiah 18:15) As I began this letter, knowing and believing the love of God is imperative 2 Peter 3:9 tells us that the Lord does not desire for anyone to perish For those of you who have found yourselves in a backslidden state, I encourage to pray this prayer of repentance:
Father, I pray you forgive me for making every unsound decision I realize that I have not been consistent in my spiritual growth and development, but I desire to be realigned with Your will Father, I ask you for Your good way again In the Name of Jesus, I ask that you guide me in the way that leads to abundant life I commit to doing something by faith to demonstrate my commitment to walking in the path that You preordained for my life. I choose to make the good decision to follow Your will and Your plan from this day forward. Thank You for Your grace and Your mercy. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Well, family, if you have prayed this in faith, I believe that God heard you! Now go in peace and commit to following wholly after God!

Church Picnic
Survey Results: The food was great! The new games (Jousting especially) were AWESOME!
The Carnival theme and decorations were top notch this year!!!
Church Anniversary
Through the amounts and excitement of this year’s giving, one could see the unity of the congregation in helping the church become “Debt Free in 2023”. A visitor that joined even gave on the same day which was amazing to see. To know that you took part in helping God’s house is a reward in and of itself but, God also says that He will make happen for you what you make happen for others. The tangible rewards are imminent!

Five Ways to Include Jesus in Your Summer Vacation
Summer is officially here! Our minds are shifting from our usual daily affairs to more recreational activities. While rest is important, it is vital that we do not “leave Jesus at home” as we travel and enjoy our summer vacation. Notice what Jesus told the disciples in Mark 6:31 NLT. “Then Jesus said, ‘Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest a while.’” Even when it was time for the disciples to take some time and rest, Jesus invited them to go away with Him. He desires to be intricately involved in every part of our lives, so here are five quick tips on how to keep Jesus included in your summer vacation.
Maintain your prayer regimen. Take some time in the mornings and in the evenings to reflect on the goodness of the Lord and thank Him for giving you “times of refreshing”.
Evangelize. If presented with the opportunity, be a “worker together with Christ” and minister salvation to a lost soul.
Uphold your Christian character. Refuse to participate in anything that contradicts your Christian values.
Walk in love. Be mindful to treat others with love and kindness. It may open the door to an evangelistic opportunity. Use wisdom. Be Spirit-led in all travel plans and activities to ensure a safe and peaceful vacation.
Remember, Jesus is coming back real soon, so let’s keep Him at the core of everything we do. Have a great summer!
Fun Summer Activities for Kids
1.) Go out on a nature walk and teach about God’s creation
2.) Do some gardening and explain the properties of good soil. Afterwards, teach the 4 types of soil mentioned in the Parable of the Sower
3.) Perform an act of kindness and help a neighbor or friend. This can be a lesson on the Fruit of the Spirit.
4.) Play Bible trivia and teach about the rewards of having God’s word hidden in the heart.
