“A Breakout Mentality for a Breakout Year” Micah 2:12-13 (NKJV) 12 “I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob, I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together like sheep of [a]the fold, Like a flock in the midst of their pasture; They shall make a loud noise because of so many people.
13 The one who breaks open will come up before them; They will break out, Pass through the gate, And go out by it; Their king will pass before them, With the Lord at their head.”
God BLESS you members and partners! As many of you know by now, this year’s theme is “A Break Out Year: A Time of Validation.” God began talking to me about this last October as a means to get all our partners ready for what I believe is our greatest year yet. In the storyline of our theme verse, Micah is a prophet to Israel and for the most part he speaks of judgment throughout his book. However, in chapter two, verses twelve and thirteen, he begins to talk about how God will be restoring His remnant. A remnant is a small part of the whole group that is compliant and ready for God to bless. I believe that we are a part of God’s remnant. We’ve been faithful, and God is ready to bless and restore us and cause us to “break out” this year. I think it’s critical to understand that our breaking out will occur as a result of our continual obedience to God. According to Isaiah 1:19 “if we are willing and obedient, we shall eat the good of the land.” Isaiah 3:10 says something similar “say to the righteous it shall be well.” In 2024, God is going to continue to put His stamp of approval on those of us who have stood for righteousness and made God’s word final authority in all matters, “WE WILL BREAK OUT!” It is key to understand that our breaking out will be linked to our God going before us and making crooked places straight and rough places smooth (Isaiah 45:2). In fact, God has always been ready to do this for every believer that would trust and obey Him. Hear the Word of the Lord concerning His going ahead of you and being with you at the same time: Deuteronomy 31:8 (NKJV) 8 And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed. I believe that a key ingredient for breaking out this year will be your mindset. Are you aggressive in not being afraid? Are you aggressive in believing God and taking Him at His word? In my opinion the mind is one of the most crucial parts of a person’s outcomes in life. If you don’t elevate your thinking, and believe God, there will not be any breaking out, in fact you will decline. However, if your mind can align with the status of your born again spirit, you will see all types of breakouts of success this year. So, what does this mean for us as a church body? Here are some key focal points of breaking out for KCC this year: 1. We will breakout in evangelism and church numerical growth. 2. We will breakout in membership spiritual growth, individual progress, and promotion. 3. We will breakout in financial abundance both organizationally and individually. 4. We will breakout in church expansion into our communities locally and nationally (television broadcast, Kingdom Experiences in cities etc.). 5. We will breakout in our overall KCC experience, this includes worship and fellowship (church, life groups, conferences etc.).
As partners, I think it’s very important for you to understand a few of our projects and initiatives that are slated for this year. I’ve always been a big proponent of being a good steward of God's finances and many of you have been strong contributors and for this I am so grateful. Our target for 2023 has been met. We are officially “DEBT FREE”! We do not owe anyone anything but to love them! I’m so grateful to God and to you for all your support last year and in previous years. However, we are very much in a place of desiring your ongoing financial support so that we can continue to expand the vision of our ministry. Our campus debt freedom is simply one leg of our mission, we have so many more expenses to meet weekly and annually to continue to be a viable ministry in this time. For example, one TV broadcast can cost thousands of dollars literally depending on the market and channels. We’ve not slowed down in expanding our television outreach, as of now we are in the following cities and surrounding areas Charlotte, NC (Daily); Charleston, SC; Knoxville, TN; Norfolk, VA; and Raleigh, NC. Folks, these are five major television markets, and our vision is only expanding. We anticipate being in other cities and states this year. I will keep you updated as we make more airtime acquisitions. In 2023, not only did we become debt free, but we also built and paid off our Grace House boarding home for unwed moms and children. That project is staffed today and taking in its first residents! God is so faithful! As a result of your continued support, babies will live and women will get a second shot at life. The Grace House tagline is simple, we are “Helping Women and Children Catch Up and Win in Life.” We will need your continued support in this mission to maintain our current home and expand. This mission will have so many great outflows this year, I’m excited about the lives that will be touched by our ministry. Our main target this year will be our “Project Account.” It is my goal to substantially beef up our savings to be ready to fund our Multipurpose Building, Campus 2 Acquisition, and other capital expenditures as opportunities arise. You will see attached a copy of a preliminary drawing for our multipurpose facility that will help us house our youth and other gatherings and initiatives. We are also on board to acquire a second local campus to expand our missions to our community at large. Our SUPERSEED Sunday is February 18th and this is our beginning of the year major fundraiser for our annual projects. We are asking every member and partner to pray about how you may be a substantial blessing this year. I was privileged recently to tour a tremendous Christian School in the state of North Carolina, they had all the “bells and whistles” for educating youth. I turned to my wife and said, “this is what prosperity allows organizations to do.” The only thing between KCC and multiple levels of ministry that we’ve not seen yet is finances. The Bible states that “money answers all things” (Ecclesiastes 10:19). In my new book, The Ten Test of Success, I talk about passing tests of character such as the money test, humility test, integrity test etc. At this point in the life of our ministry I realize that we have passed all of these tests. As we continue to garner financial support, we are going to do ministry at levels unheard of. Please consider coming alongside us real strong in 2024 and get ready for a great year of “Breakouts” in our favor. I believe that as you support God’s ministry, He will cause you to prosper and experience great blessings and favor in your own life. The word of God teaches that what you make happen for someone else, God will make the same happen for you (Ephesians 6:8). Let’s make it happen again this year for KCC and I believe we will continue to see things happen in our lives that go beyond our greatest expectations. Thank you again for your support of the vision and I can’t wait to hear about your breakout testimonies this year.
With Love, Pastor Gabe

Break Out and Keep Working We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the One who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. (John 9:4 NLT) It is inconceivable that we are at the beginning of a new year, again. Time is supernaturally moving fast, and signs all point to the soon return of our Lord. I don’t know about you, but I am eagerly awaiting His return. There is not a day that passes when I do not wonder; could this be the day? Considering Jesus’ words above, I am becoming more and more aware of the sense of urgency about the work to which God has called me too. In the above scripture, Jesus is essentially saying that time is swiftly passing and so is the opportunity to work and He is not referring to your daily 9 – 5, but rather His agenda that we, Christians, have been tasked to. The attitude that Jesus expresses in this verse must be ours as well. There is so much to do, and we must get about the Father’s work. Primarily, the Gospel must be reached to the ends of the earth and that includes our home, place of employment and basically society at large, all places where we see people. There are still thousands of people, most of whom we encounter every day, who still do not realize they are sitting directly on the brink of eternal judgment. They have never heard of the rapture and are oblivious to the consequences of sin. Once the Gospel has reached the entire world, the end will come (Matthew 24:14). We also need to strengthen our homes so that we can raise our children in the instruction and discipline of the Lord. Lastly, we need to grow up spiritually, becoming more spiritually developed in faith, Bible knowledge and doctrine, power, spiritual gifts, and the fruit of the Spirit. Take a moment and ponder where you should be by now (Hebrews 5:12). The night is coming! Jesus knew the opportunity before Him was limited and that He had to give Himself wholeheartedly to the task assigned to Him. This is the Break Out year. How foolish then is it to waste any more of our time with weights and sins and barriers that keep us ensnared and out of the will of God. Let’s do our part to Break Out and Keep Working.

The Benefits of Goal Setting & Productivity How To Set Goals & The Benefits of It The beginning of the year is the perfect time to cast vision and write out the goals you desire to accomplish for the year. Having clear, written out goals will enable you to carry out the visions and plans with ease and to also know exactly when the goal has been met. Another benefit of goal setting is that it leads to a more productive life. According to Merriam Webster, "productive” is defined as “having the quality or power of producing especially in abundance”. Being productive has the opportunity to enhance your life by means of seeing your desired outcomes come to fruition. In our Pastor’s book, Productivity, Dr. Rogers made a profound statement regarding the matter: “A life of productivity is the result of making a good decision that has no flexibility.” Goal setting and productivity has to first begin with making a quality decision. Maybe that quality decision is that you are going to finish the degree you started years ago, or you are going to finally revisit your budget or weight loss goals, or more importantly that you are going to get a disciple for the Kingdom. Whatever the decision is, I compel you, as Dr. Rogers stated that you will not be flexible regarding it. It is imperative that you are “firm, unyielding, and are resolved to not turn back from this decision, no matter the cost.” (Productivity, page 7). As you are writing out your 2024 goals consider implementing the following tips of setting goals (also found in the book Productivity): 1. Create CSM God-Centered Goals: Ensure that your goals are clear, specific, and measurable (CSM). Doing so will aid you in knowing when the goal is accomplished and also gives you benchmarks along the way. - Philippians 3:14 - “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (NKJV) 2. Implement Incremental Advancement: What is something you can do daily towards each goal you have created? - Zechariah 4:10: “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” (NLT) 3. Employ Solid Accountability: Identify who the people in your life are that will help you stay focused and accountable to accomplish the goals you have set. - Proverbs 27:17: “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” (NKJV) 4. Know that God Makes Up the Difference: It is imperative that you commit your plans and goals to the Lord. His grace, hand, and favor are what makes up the difference in our lives as believers. Proverbs 16:3: “Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him], and your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].” (AMP) By Krista Colvin
Budgeting with A Purpose When it comes to budgeting, many consider it to be difficult and time-consuming. However, once you make a practice of it, it becomes easier. When you first begin to budget, it almost feels like you receive an immediate raise. To create a budget, you must first list all of your expenditures to see where your money is being spent. Most people will find that they make adjustments to their spending because they see they are spending too much in some areas and too little in others. Budgeting is simply planning your finances and implementing that plan. This is a habit that everyone should have. The benefits of budgeting are extensive, but a few major benefits include: finding “extra” money, getting out of debt, increasing your savings, and the feelings of accomplishment and success. When budgeting, it is important to be content with what you have, while planning for what you want to be able to do in the near future. Have goals but also leave room for grace in the event that you make a mistake. Here are a few tips to get you started.
Budgeting Tips: -Schedule a day to budget at the beginning of each month. Remember every month is different. For example, you have to take into account “back to school” expenses and holidays. -Start with the most important categories first. Giving and saving are always at the top, then food, shelter and utilities, and transportation (make sure to have enough in savings for TIRES!) -Extra money is to be used to pay your debt(s) first. -Always find ways to trim your budget or get aggressive when you have a special event coming up. For example, be sure to plan for Super Seed Sunday, Anniversaries, Birthdays, etc. - Create a buffer in your budget for unexpected expenses. It could be $10, $20, or $50 but set these funds aside for an extra giving opportunity or an article of clothing that you have been eyeing.
There is a #1 rule regarding budgeting you should always remember - sow some, save some, and eat some and you can’t go wrong. By: Lameka Rion
Lifestyle Changes Kingdom Christian Church’s theme for 2024 is “A Breakout Year!: A Time of Validation” This year, we are breaking out into new and healthier lifestyles. To help you get started, we have a few tips for implementing a healthy eating regimen below. Enjoy! Prepare your mind for change. Proverbs 23:7 teaches us that “as he thinks in his heart, so is he”. We will always carry out the behaviors associated with the thoughts we ruminate. To prepare your mind for healthy living, we highly recommend listening to and meditating on Pastor Rogers’ teaching series “Be in Health”. We also encourage you to read “How to Lose Weight by Faith and Works” and make daily scriptural confessions about your new healthy lifestyle. Remove any unhealthy foods from your environment(s). We know that method is just as important as determination. Removing unhealthy foods from your environment creates more opportunity for success as there will be limited access to those items. Engage in meal planning and prepping. Planning and prepping your meals in advance are great tools for success in healthy eating. It eliminates the need to purchase quick, unhealthy meals throughout the day. Implement! As First Lady Rogers says, “implement, implement, implement!” You can “do all things through Christ that strengthens you” (Phil. 4:13). You’ve got this!

PRAISE REPORT In April of 2023, my employer approved my request for funding to embark on the journey of receiving my Project Manager Professional certification. I enrolled in the summer sessions of classes at the local community college. As I completed each course, I would provide my manager with progress updates. In June of 2023, I received my Scrum Master certification, which was a milestone in the curriculum. This certification opened up many job opportunities. During an altar call on September 7th, 2023, Pastor Rogers spoke a word over me saying, “Kendra, you need to think bigger. There is more in you and God wants to use you at a greater level. You are very talented, even in the corporate sector. Open doors for you in that space. The only hold in that is you and your faith. You are not a grasshopper, don’t look at yourself that way. Bigger, bigger. Confidence, boldness in who you are and trust God to add the increase. This will encourage you. I’ve been at tables and I’ve said to myself, ‘how did I get here?’ But then God affirmed me saying, ‘you are My child. I put you in this place. I called you for such a time as this.’ ” He also mentioned that he believed that the blessing was in the seed. I took that word and sowed a significant seed in the offering that night. The very next day, my manager asked that I send over all of the certificates of completion as well as my Scrum Master certification over to her. She stated that she was drafting an email but she never mentioned what the email was for or who she was sending it to. I went on about my day as usual. (I would come to find out that she submitted a request for me to receive a step promotion - a promotion based on excelling in the department and going above an beyond by pursuing the certifications) The next day I was approached by a hiring manager of a different company who asked me about my current employer and if I was open to transitioning into a new industry. I was seeing the word that Pastor spoke over me unfold. As he has said prior to praying for me, “who is believing for by this time tomorrow?” I thought to myself, I’ve had a “by this time tomorrow” encounter and it was extended to the next day. After speaking with the hiring manager, she asked that I send her my resume, which I did. That Monday, she called me with an offer for a project manager position at her company, with a salary increase. When I informed my current manager with that information, she immediately

went to our director’s office to let her know the news. I spoke with my husband and my discipleship partner about the offer I’d received. About two days later, my current employer provided me with an offer with a salary increase and a promotion, retaining my eligibility for an annual bonus. I had what Pastor Rogers calls “blessed people problems.” It was a challenge to make a decision for many reasons. However, I prayed about it, talked with my husband and spoke with Pastor Rogers. I ultimately decided to accept the offer with my current employer. After making that decision, I successfully completed my course work on October 14th, 2023 and passed the exam for my Project Management Professional certification on December 5th, 2023. God is truly faithful. I believed in the Lord God and I was established, I believed His prophet, Pastor Rogers, and I prospered (2 Chronicles 20:20). There are three things that I have a greater revelation of: trusting God without wavering, being obedient to God’s instruction, and the love that God has for me. I am sincerely grateful for the countless teachings from Pastor Rogers. Not only has my faith increased, but I have learned the importance of loyalty to God and loyalty to the man of God. I’ve also learned the biblical principles that every seed produces after its own kind (Genesis 1:12), that sowing is your way to prosperity (2 Corinthians 9:6) and whatever you do, do all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
Member Spotlight Chike and Yahnick have been members of KCC since September 2022 after meeting Pastor Rogers for premarital counseling. Chike recalls being led to express his Christian faith to Pastor Rogers during their first counseling session. It was in that session that he learned Dr. Rogers was also Pastor Rogers and requested to visit the ministry. After two months of visiting, he and Yahnick joined the ministry. When asked what they enjoy about KCC, they said, “We really enjoy the spirit filled Word we get every Sunday and Thursday. There are many times when we have been experiencing things in our personal lives, and the message we get is literally spot on for our season. It almost feels as if Pastor is preaching directly to us during these times. We have experienced multiple miracles since being a part of KCC. As corporate and medical professionals, KCC equips us with the tools to thrive as Christians while in the world.” They also stated that they love the opportunities to sow seeds into the ministry, the mentorship, the community and fellowship they have experienced since joining. Chike and Yahnick are both graduate students. Chike is a Geographic Information Systems PhD Candidate at UNC Charlotte. Yahnick is an MD Candidate at Wake Forest School of Medicine. Together, they enjoy traveling, going on date nights, trying new food, exercising and going to church. In their own words, “we have grown tremendously as individuals and as a couple under this ministry.”
