BE In BE In

This has been a fleeting year with the New Year swiftly approaching! My prayer is that you have experienced tremendous joy, favor, and manifestations throughout the year. I pray that you have found yourself in genuine thanksgiving as you celebrate all that the Lord has done throughout this year and all we will see come to pass as we wrap up another year

As we enter the new year, I encourage you to cast vision on what you are expecting to see in the coming year, should the Lord delay His coming What is it that you are believing God for in 2023? Are you believing God for debt-freedom, a new career, a promotion, or even better, to bring more disciples in the Kingdom of God? Whatever it is that you are believing God for, I compel you to write it down Habakkuk 2:2 tells us, “Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it ” After you have written it down, I encourage you to be in genuine expectation for full manifestation Remember, expectation is demonstrated by your talk, corresponding actions, a tolerance for time, and genuine thanksgiving for each stride

Also, we must not be ignorant of Satan’s devices as we wait for full manifestation Stay alert and armed against the enemies to expectation It is imperative to know that sometimes the dry places in our life cause us to reconsider what we are expecting, but stay on it, family! In those wilderness moments, don’t have selective amnesia, but instead recall all the previous ways that God has already shown Himself faithful to you and stand on the Word and promises of God!

Family, I challenge you to make a list of the things that you expect to see as we enter the new year, should the Lord delay His coming Once you write it out and submit it to the Lord, be sure you do not drop your words Remember, the enemy comes to steal the word but it is up to you to remain persistent and stand on the Word of God! It is my prayer that you remain full of faith as you wait on the full manifestation of what you are believing for! A sure way to know you are in faith is that you have the joy and peace of believing (Romans 15:13) So as you enter this new year remember to maintain genuine thanksgiving as we continue to live in the abundance and favor of God!

With Warm Regards, Pastor Gabe

E TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

nd the world, many Christians are eagerly preparing to recognize and celebrate the virgin birth of our LORD, Jesus Christ. Christmas trees are adorned with beautiful ornaments, gifts are being purchased and wrapped and the sounds of Christmas are ringing throughout homes, malls and the streets. A beautiful blanket of snow would be the icing on the cake! Truly, this is the most joyous and wonderful time of the year! Additionally, for me, Christmas is also a time of solemn reflections as I ponder what the birth of my Lord means to me. Doubtless, I am so incredibly thankful for His birth!! As I think about His birth and its impact upon my life, so many words come to mind: hope, peace, joy, but most of all, redemption. The true meaning of Christmas is what God did for us, in Christ. Matthew 1:21 records, “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. ” Ever since the fall of man, God’s redemptive plan for humanity was always to send His Son. All of us have sinned, the Bible says (Romans 3:23). We have done things that are wrong, said things that we should not have said, and have entertained wrong thoughts. Sin had destructive effects in our life and made us guilty before God. It also enslaved us and separated us from God, forever. BUT, when Jesus came “to save us from our sins”, things were reversed! That is GOOD NEWS! God loves you and me so much that He sent His Son to die for our sins, affording us the opportunity to one day live with Him eternally (John 3:16; Romans 5:8). Hallelujah! The greatest gift of Christmas is to embrace the love of God, by receiving the gift of His ave not done so, I invite you to ask Jesus into your heart You will then have a “Merry Christmas”.

Anticipating His Return, Lady Rogers

Spirit-Filled Evangelism

In September 2022, Pastor Gabriel Rogers provided a powerful impartation on Spirit-Filled Evangelism during 7 a m class Spirit-Filled Evangelism is Bible based evangelism driven by passion for God Most importantly, Spirit-filled evangelism yields results! Pastor Gabe provided three dynamic points regarding the topic: 1 Spirit-filled boldness, 2 Spirit-led on who to approach, and 3 Spirit-led on conversations In this article, we will dive into each point with the hope of igniting the Body of Christ’s passion to win the lost!

1 a.

Spirit-Filled Boldness - Regardless of your personality type, introverted or extroverted, Jesus’ mandate to make disciples applies. Hence, the Holy Spirit can make up the difference for timid and shy personalities. He can also remove anxiety and fear such that we have the requisite boldness and passion to open our mouths and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To ignite Spirit filled boldness, remember to: Watch your words (Job 22:28). If you make negative confessions such as, “I’m shy,” “I’ve never been the type to talk to people I don’t know,” and “I don’t know what to say,” you will reap a harvest off those words. Instead, speak God’s Word only, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” “I have the wisdom of God,” and “I have the mind of Christ.” These Bible-based confessions will help you renew your mind to conform to the truth, God would not command us to do something that He didn’t give us the tools and capacity to fulfill.

2 Spirit-Led on Who to Approach - When engaging in Spirit-filled evangelism, fear of approaching people goes away when you believe that you’re speaking to people who God wants you to speak with Regardless of the reaction from others, when you obey the unction of the Holy Spirit and share the gospel with those who God tells you to, you can rest on the fact that you have obeyed God To be Spirit led on who to approach, practice these two components: a. b.

Get filled or re-filled with the Holy Spirit. After all, you cannot be Spirit-led without the Holy Ghost. Pray specific prayers about who to approach, asking God for divine encounters with the lost (1 John 5:14-15). In Luke 6:12-16, Jesus went up to the mountain and prayed all night long. After this prayer, He spoke to each of the twelve who became His disciples and they each responded to His request. Jesus’ earnest prayer followed by His selection of the twelve disciples is not coincidental. If we are going to be as successful as Jesus in evangelism, we too have to be willing to pray earnestly about our evangelistic efforts.

3 Spirit-Led on Conversations - When engaging in conversations with the lost, we have to remember that our God is omniscient. He knows the challenges and needs of the harvest. Hence, it’s incumbent upon us to ask the God of the harvest to give us the words to speak to His sheep. To be Spirit led on your conversations, remember: a.

Luke 12:12 tells us that God will give us the words to say. We do not have to rely on ourselves and our own charisma for words. If we do our part, open our mouths with a willing heart, God will fill our hearts and mouths with the correct words to speak.

Hijah came to KCC by way of Daija Rion through Daija’s evangelistic measures with a mutual friend. When asked what prompted him to oin KCC, Hijah stated it was the WORD of God preached by Pastor Rogers in spirit and truth. Also, Pastor’s boldness didn’t hurt either. Ny’Hijah’s first-time visit was his last time being a visitor. He became a member that very same day.

Praise Report

My name is Vanessa Truss I would like to state that I am a miracle and the reason why I say that is because God performed a miracle in me. On December 9th, 2021, I was diagnosed with cancer, but when the doctor delivered this news, I was not shaken. The doctor told my daughter and me that two doctors had already looked at the reports and confirmed the diagnoses, however, my daughter and I said, “but this hasn’t been reviewed by the third doctor; and the third doctor is Dr. Jesus!” So, they told me I had to go in for surgery and then they would determine if it had spread and what stage it was in. As the doctor talked, I continued to speak the word of the Lord and decree I will be cancer free. I determined I would not communicate my diagnose to anyone who didn’t have faith that Jesus would do it. M family and I prayed, and we believed in God. On January 2nd, 2022, Pastor Rogers asked, “if anyone needed healing, come forward”. My husband and I were in the lin and Pastor Rogers stated, “that tumor is gone!” And on January 11th, 2022 I went in for surgery and on January 18th, 2022 I got the test results that everything was negative, and I am cancer free! All I can say is, “God did Speedily!!!”

EMBRACING CHANGE

whether or not we achieved our past goals and what our new goals will be for the upcoming year. There is one element that we often overlook in our reflection time. The element is “change”. As we went throughout the year, did we change spiritually, for the better? Did we progress or regress?

Change is inevitable. From the moment you are born until the day you die, you will continually experience change throughout your life. The most important change we can make is spiritually changing and growing in God. Ponder these questions: From the beginning of 2022 till now, have you experienced any level of spiritual growth throughout the year? Have you implemented any of the biblical teachings and words of God spoken to you, in 2022? If the answer is yes, you have grasped the concept of embracing change. If your answer is no, then you will need to work on embracing and implementing change now and in the upcoming year Pastor Gabriel Rogers stated the following in his sermon “What Would Happen If You Change”, “You are the most important factor of your change because your will is more powerful than any other force”. It's up to you to embrace the changes around you and within you to have a better quality of life. Allow the Holy Spirit, God’s Word, and godly counsel to help you embrace change and step into the new you that God has called you to be As you become the person God has called you to be, you will see yourself growing spiritually, flourishing in various aspects of your life, and most importantly growing closer to God in a relationship

For one, taking in more calories from food or beverages with a lack of physical activity (National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 2022). Now, how can we prevent all of the aforementioned effects of obesity from happening to us? We do the practical work. Remember this is not a race, it’s a journey. Below are a few things to get you started with losing weight.

1. a. 2. a. 3. a.

PLAN

Plan how you are going to lose weight via a diet plan, exercise routine, budget, etc.

PREP

Prep your home by clearing out all unhealthy options. Meal prep, therefore, you won’t have an excuse to get something unhealthy.

IMPLEMENT

Do the work. Consistently work your plan and eat the foods that you prepared!!!

God loves you and wants you to live a long and abundant life. As our Pastor said in his “BE IN HEALTH” series, this is “how the enemy hurts a believer.” We need to be around to do the work of the LORD. If we want God to use us, we need to give Him something to work with.

For more help with your weight loss journey, I HIGHLY recommend reading Pastor Rogers' book “How to Lose Weight by Faith & Works” and listening to his messages on “BE IN HEALTH.”
