As we move into February, I get excited as we are that much closer to spring. Outdoor activities, warm weather and Cardinal baseball are all right around the corner.

While spring is within sight, there are still some great events at the MAC to help get us through February.

The staple event in February is certainly The Foundations’ Gala, which will be held on Feb. 13. This will be a great event for our members and guests to enjoy, and it is for a great cause that benefits the Preservation, Athletic, and Art foundations. Please see page eight to learn more about these three very important foundations and our upcoming event. There is still time to make your reservation by calling 314-539-4470.

As we know, one of the great benefits of the Club is the connections we make with other members. A great event to make new contacts or reconnect with old friends is Good Fellowship Day, which is on Feb. 21.

This event is hosted by the Downtown Athletic Department, and it is one of the longest standing traditions at the MAC. Whether you are coming for a workout or just want to enjoy a great lunch, come Downtown that Saturday. The Athletic Department will open at 7 a.m. with free fitness classes, and competitions begin at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Sportsman’s Club on the fourth floor.

The last event I want to remind you of is the MAC Boxing Championship on Feb. 26.

This event always sells out so make reservations now. The evening has some great amateur boxing, and this year will feature three Guns ‘n Hoses bouts with local police and firefighters dueling it out.

Moving on to facility improvements, check out the new cardio equipment at both the West and Downtown Clubhouses. A total of 25 new pieces of equipment are now in place including a variety of treadmills, bikes, elliptical and step mill machines. These are a welcome upgrade at 4 F Cherry Diamond F FEBRUARY 2015

both clubhouses to improve our workout experience. Some other projects include installing carpet squares and painting the men’s locker room at the West Clubhouse and continued progress on bringing Downtown guestrooms back on line.

On the finance side, on page seven you will see our first quarter financial reports.

The first quarter was very strong and a couple of things stuck out to me: F During the first three months of our fiscal year, revenue from departmental operations totaled $2,644,060. This total was $30,086 better than planned and $82,500 ahead of last year.

F Membership dues reached $1,853,692.

This total was $4,896 better than planned and $78,503 ahead of last year.

F Total resident members in November 2014 stood at 1,459 with total dues-paying members of 2,353; the corresponding totals for November 2013 were 1,420 and 2,285, respectively.

F Net operating cash flow (net income before depreciation) of $502,847 was generated during the first three months of our fiscal year. This amount is $107,535 better than planned and $84,540 more than last year.

F Capital expenditures during the quarter totaled $101,346. Of this total, $74,418 was spent Downtown and $26,928 was spent at West.

F The Club ended the quarter with cash of $168,636 on its balance sheet. The line of credit balance at the end of November 2014 was zero.

These are very positive signs, and the fiscal year is off to a very good start. I can also report that the second quarter started off very well with a great December.

These results are a direct reflection of the engagement of our members in attending events and your patronage of the Club.

Engaged members and solid membership growth allows for continued investment in both West and Downtown. Thanks to membership, management and staff for a strong performance thus far, and I look forward to more positive results through the rest of the year!

GENERAL MANAGER’S COLUMN

Over the holidays, I was invited to spend some time with our Forever Young Club (FYC) at their monthly luncheon at our West Clubhouse. What a vibrant and inspiring group of MAC members! Many of these “young at heart” folks have been members of the Club for decades, and they’re still actively serving, contributing, and enjoying the MAC. At the luncheon now Past President, Mr. Joe Hoffmann stood up and made a generous contribution to our Preservation Foundation on behalf of the FYC for which we are extremely thankful. I especially want to thank the FYC who all inspire me with stories of the past but more importantly with their view of the future and all the energy they bring to the room and the Club. What a great, great group, and frankly, why the MAC is the MAC. Also, I want to extend a special thanks to all of you who answered the recent survey regarding our foundations and planned giving. We discovered that there is a lack of awareness about our foundations and what they do. Two thirds of those surveyed were unaware or had limited knowledge that the MAC supports three foundations and wanted more information.

As a result, I’ll touch on a couple highlights in preparation for our upcoming Foundations’ Gala on Feb. 13 in hopes of educating our members about the missions of our foundations and sharing more specifics about how contributions to the foundations create benefit.

As an example, the Forever Young Club’s contribution to the Preservation Foundation will help in funding efforts as we renovate 15 hotel rooms that have been out of service for many years due to plumbing issues. The Preservation Foundation funds can be used to preserve 6 F Cherry Diamond F FEBRUARY 2015

our historical building by resolving infrastructure needs and more specifically, the plumbing issues. Fixing pipes is not a “sexy” project, but it is important. These rooms, which were not in our inventory, will go from unusable to our newest and nicest overnight rooms in the Club. We will have interior designer boards at the Gala, which will give you an idea of the quality finishes that will be the polish on this overdue project. We believe you’ll like it.

If you know of an organization looking for a unique place to host their meetings, please refer them to us. Your hosted events provide us with a great opportunity to showcase our banquet and meeting rooms, our talented staff, hotel rooms and one of the finest Clubs in the world. We thank you for the help on this.

On that same note, I want to extend a special thanks to our staff that are doing the majority of the hotel room renovations. Their hard work and expertise helps work through this “smart money” improvement. Why “smart money?” Because once this project is completed, it will have less than a two-year payback, and the MAC will boast 82 very nice hotel rooms for you and your guests to enjoy.

One other shout out goes to Zach Freeman, Rick Garrett, and our entire front desk staff who have been working hard on installing and learning our new software system for the hotel rooms. This new system will streamline our services, reporting and capabilities, and believe me, it was a tremendous amount of work.

Our next move in the digital upgrade direction is a complete overhaul and refresh of our website, which is now underway.

The fun never ends!

Most of you know that we just installed a total of 25 new pieces of cardio equipment between both clubhouses. I’ve heard nothing but great feedback from the folks who have tried it out, and the new stair climber sounds like the most challenging butt burning piece, but you be the judge. As Jeff Tuhro, “Athletic Director of the year” noted, in anticipating our member and facility needs, we’ve been focused on taking care of the “got-to-dos,” and I’m looking forward to the next phase where we can spend more time, attention and resources on the “want-to-dos.” We are close to catching up and will stay at it until we do.

Going back to foundations for a minute. Our Foundation for the Arts has se-

lected a well known member favorite for much needed and overdue restoration, which our Gala proceeds will help fund.

The painting is “Taxi Please” by Emil J. Kosa, Jr., which when restored, will be fabulous. This painting has been damaged over the years, and restoring it will cost nearly $4,000, but once complete, it will be proudly displayed amongst our collection in a prominent place for all to enjoy and worth every penny spent.

Finally, our Sports Foundation, which exists to promote amateur sports and athletics will support The BackStoppers at our MAC Annual Boxing Championship on Feb. 26. Many of you know that The BackStoppers is also a 501(c)(3) organization providing support to the families of police officers, firefighters, and paramedics who sacrifice their lives in the line of duty. A great organization and, as a special treat at this year’s MAC boxing night, three of the bouts will be fought between Guns ‘n Hoses participants, which consist of police officers against firefighters. Not only will this be an awesome night, but lots of good will be done at the same time due to the MAC Sports Foundation.

After the Foundations’ Gala, we don’t want to lose momentum on our educational efforts so over the next few months, you’ll hear more about next steps and the planned giving and corporate programs now under development. A shout out goes to our Foundation Chairs and Board for all their work and focus on this most important endeavor. With our coming success, our current Associate and next generation members will enjoy the club 50 years from now when they are members of the FYC. Time flies so let’s make the most of it.

First Quarter Financial Report The Club’s fiscal year runs from September 1 through August 31. The first quarter of our 2014-2015 fiscal year ended on November 30, 2014.

During the first three months of our fiscal year, revenue from departmental operations totaled $2,644,060. This total was $30,086 better than plan and $82,500 ahead of last year.

Membership dues reached $1,853,692. This total was $4,896 better than plan and $78,503 ahead of last year. Total resident members in November 2014 stood at 1,459 with total dues-paying members of 2,353; the corresponding totals for November 2013 were 1,420 and 2,285, respectively. In November 2014, there were 897 Platinum Partnership members and 596 Diamond Club members; last November’s totals were 645 and 716, respectively.

Unallocated costs have accumulated to $1,994,115 so far this year. This total is $31,853 less than plan and $28,364 greater than last year.

Net operating cash flow (net income before depreciation) of $502,847 was generated during the first three months of our fiscal year. This amount is $107,535 better than plan and $84,540 more than last year.

Capital expenditures during the quarter totaled $101,346. Of this total, $74,418 was spent Downtown and $26,928 was spent at West.

The Club ended the quarter with cash of $168,636 on its balance sheet.

The line of credit balance at the end of November 2014 was zero.

As of the end of November, the Club had long-term bank debt of $5,882,958 and MAC Redevelopment Corp., which owns our garage, had long-term bank debt of $1,090,732 for a total of $6,973,690. During the first quarter, principal payments totaling $187,149 were made on the debt.

Financial Reports Available

The audited financial statements of the Missouri Athletic Club for the years ended August 31, 2014 and 2013 are now available in the Club’s Accounting and Finance Department. Any member desiring a copy of the audited financial statements may request a copy from the Chief Financial Officer, Larry Absheer.

The consolidated financial statements include the accounts of the Missouri Athletic Club (the “Club”), its wholly owned subsidiary, MAC Redevelopment Corp. (the “Corporation”), and the Missouri Athletic Club Preservation Foundation (the “Foundation”), a related party under common control.

The Club generated operating revenues of $17,242,805 during 2014.

This was up from $16,248,954 in 2013.

Included in operating revenues are membership dues ($7,018,099 for 2014 and $7,100,397 for 2013), departmental operating revenues ($10,113,431 for 2014 and $9,047,757 for 2013), and initiation fees ($111,275 for 2014 and $100,800 for 2013).

Operating expenses totaled to $18,261,644 in 2014, compared to $17,034,711 in 2013. Non-operating revenues totaled to $644,147 in 2014, compared to $677,678 in 2013. There

was a negative pension adjustment of $234,876 in 2014, compared to a positive pension adjustment of $1,595,113 in 2013.

The Club’s unrestricted net assets decreased by $609,568 to $5,452,602 at the end of 2014, compared to $6,062,170 at the end of 2013.

The Corporation’s operating revenues were $216,000 during 2014.

Operating expenses were $127,852. Net non-operating expenses were $44,430.

Unrestricted net assets increased by $43,718. Unrestricted net assets were $729,923 at the end of 2014.

The Foundation’s operating revenues were $106,045 during 2014.

Operating expenses were $168,260. Net non-operating revenues were $11,526.

Unrestricted net assets decreased by $50,689. Unrestricted net assets were $469,286 at the end of 2014.

The Club’s long-term debt at the end of 2014 was $6,183,367 and the Corporation had long-term debt of $1,138,732. The corresponding numbers at the end of 2013 were $6,704,288 and $1,330,732, respectively. At the end of 2014, the balance on the Club’s line of credit was $45,876; the balance at the end of 2013 was $20,325.

Developing the Inner Game: Sports Psychology Can Play a Winning Role Dave Schwent, Missouri Athletic Club’s Director of Racquetball and Golf Professional, consulted with psychologist Dr. David Lazenby regarding the development of an upcoming racquetball clinic.

About five years ago, Dr. Lazenby began working with Dave when his son, Zack, enrolled in private lessons. “As you might imagine, given my background, I am very cautious about whom I allow to influence and coach my boys. Dave’s approach to working with athletes really impressed me,” said Lazenby.

While getting to know each other, Schwent asked Lazenby questions about training, coaching and individual performance. Most recently, their conversation centered on learning to help others harness their strengths for greater personal performance while managing for the developmental needs of individual ages.

Performance research has demonstrated that people grow, develop, and net the greatest return on investment when they identify the ways they most naturally think, feel, and behave. Then, they build upon those talents to create strengths, and develop an ability to consistently provide near-perfect performance. People seek a professional coach when they need a navigator for their journey, or when they believe an alternative perspective or broadening of their outlook will make them more effective. This is called performance psychology, and sports are used as one dimension for personal improvement.

According to Dr. Lazenby, sports science takes a multidimensional approach to performance. It assumes that for performances to improve humans have to make improvements in four areas — not just the physical dimension, but also in the emotional, mental and the spiritual dimension, which focuses on individual mission and/or purpose. By increasing their capacity in all four realms, athletes learn how to train, prepare, and perform more effectively. On an emotional level, they learn techniques to increase resiliency and how to access opportunistic emotions (a sense of challenge, optimism, and grit), to fend off negative, performance-clouding emotions (impatience, frustration, fear, defensiveness). Mentally, athletes and teams learn to increase focus and to accomplish time-energy as a tool 14 F Cherry Diamond F FEBRUARY 2015

to effectively organize, focus, and recover their mental and physical energy. Spiritually, they learn how to develop a sense of personal meaning and accomplishment thru team and organizational goals.

Dr. Lazenby offers an example to illustrate the role of energy in performance. “The heart rates of world-class tennis players rise to anywhere from 170 to over 200 beats per minute, and they have 20 seconds to recover in between points. Additionally, other studies have determined that, during an entire tennis match, a player actually “plays” tennis just 35 percent of the time. That means that 65 percent of the time the player is not hitting tennis balls, but is resting in between points and games. How do great tennis players use their small recovery times in a productive way?”

Results suggest that after every point ended, high performers went through four stages: 1) A positive physical response (to imagine the correction of an error); 2) A relaxation/recovery phase (for the physical, emotional, and mental recapture of energy); 3) A preparation phase (to mentally prepare for what is about to happen); and 4) A stage of pre-performance rituals (where they put themselves in a state of multidimensional readiness for the next point). This ability to identify and implement recovery stages does not happen naturally and can be mastered thru practice.

How does this concept of oscillation

apply to racquetball, squash or golf? Each has their own unique set of elements and stages to consider when designing education, training, and coaching programs.

One element is how to recover from mistakes faster, which is the hallmark of higher and consistent performing athletes. In addition, the awareness of learning how to manage discomfort versus trying to be comfortable in performance tends to produce higher and more consistent performing athletes. Comfortability can actually contribute to decreases in performance and loss of physical energy required to “maximize moments.” These two subtle points in strategy techniques can make a difference in performance and practice outcomes.

The primary measure of this program is to give young athletes an “island of competence.” A place to practice and perform where they can stand on their own and not just “get by.” The outcome is learning to grow and develop a willingness to be bold by using talents and strengths on and off the court.

Pickleball Continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays Many members expressed an interest in the pickleball clinic offered in late Jan. To accommodate the continued interest, starting in Feb., pickleball sessions will be offered in the gymnasium at the West Clubhouse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until mid-May. There is no cost to participate, and pre-registration is not necessary. Just come, play, and experience the excitement for yourself.

What is pickleball?

According to the USA Pickleball Association, pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. It combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and pingpong. Help the MAC Lap the Competition: 2015 NACAD Great lakes swin contest This Feb., clubs around the country will compete in the annual NACAD Great Lakes Swim with participants attempting to swim the lengths of four of the five Great Lakes (approximately 2,004,040 yards). The MAC won the competition in 2013 and would like to regain the title in 2015.

Only members may compete, but all laps count, regardless of where you swim.

Keep track and submit all laps swum between Feb. 1 through 28 to the Athletic Desk at 314-539-4482. There is no cost to participate.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training For those interested in becoming a lifeguard, the MAC offers training and certification led by Adam Peper. To become certified, participants must be at least 15 years of age at the completion of the course, attend all sessions, and successfully meet all course requirements. Six Ways to Improve Your Serve

by Patrick McNally How do players who have already developed a decent serve improve it? The traditional way to improve is simply to practice serving more baskets of balls, but focusing on a few key areas while doing so is important.

STEP ONE: Work on consistency. Serve the ball inbounds 20 to 30 times without missing. Do these serves slowly at first so that the ball clears the net by a good margin and bounces several times before reaching the backdrop.

Step Two: Next, focus on placement of the ball. Hit the ball to the forehand and backhand sides in both service boxes as well as directing it to the middle of the box to work on jamming the opponent.

Step Three: Serve depth is important too. Work on hitting your serve as close to the service line as possible.

Step Four: Next, practice spin. On the serve, the two basic types of spin are sidespin (or slice) and topspin. Look at the back of the ball and picture the face of a clock on it.

Then use the motion of the racquet to apply spin by moving the racquet across the face of the clock. For mostly sidespin, the racquet should travel from seven to three o’clock as the strings meet the ball. For mostly topspin, the racquet should travel from seven to one o’clock. The key for creating spin is this movement of the racquet across the back of the ball coupled with speed. Swinging faster will impart more spin on the ball.

Step Five: Pace or velocity. After accomplishing the previous four steps, then increase the pace of the serve. Keep in mind that racquet speed correlates directly with shot velocity. More racquet speed is achieved by accelerating throughout the swing while maintaining a relaxed arm. Many players mistakenly tighten their muscles when they want to hit harder, and this has the opposite effect on the ball because it actually disallows the swing from being fluid, and therefore slows it down.

STEP SIX: While moving through these first five steps, remember to focus on each one, one at a time; be patient, and practice, practice, practice.

Local Tennis Professional Shares Wisdom and Experience with Campers Tennis professional Blake Strode with his longtime coach Carl Walker.

On Monday, Dec. 29, former tennis professional Blake Strode stopped by the Missouri Athletic Club’s holiday tennis camp to see his longtime coach, Carl Walker, to share some of his wisdom and experiences with the children at the camp, and to practice with them.

Strode, a St. Louis native, has an impressive resume. During his time at Pattonville High School, he won the Missouri State Singles Tournament and graduated first in his class. He went on to the University of Arkansas where he earned dual degrees in economics and Spanish while playing as an All-American and advancing to the semi-finals of the NCAA Singles Championship in 2009.

He also received the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Arthur Ashe award for leadership and sportsmanship, competed on the ATP pro tour and played in the U.S. Open. Currently, Strode is enrolled in his third year of Law School at Harvard.

He encouraged the young players at camp to always “show-up” by putting in the extra effort at practice, even when feeling tired. Carl Walker, MAC’s newest tennis pro, coached Strode from about the age of eight into his college career.

He described Strode as “one of the most focused kids I’ve ever worked with. He never gave less than 100 percent.” Walker went on to say, “I’m fortunate that many of the kids I coach at the MAC are the same way.”

Maybe another tennis professional in the making is on the MAC’s courts with Carl Walker today.

Registration will open on Friday, Feb. 16 for the 2015 MAC Double Elimination Basketball Tournament, which will be held at the Downtown Clubhouse the week of March 23. Space is limited to the first 64 players, and registration will close on March 13. Tournament participants will not be charged to attend the annual basketball banquet in April.

The staff at the West Clubhouse will ensure your kids have a blast while learning new skills and making new friends. During Spring Break Camp, children ages 5-12 will enjoy racquetball, soccer, squash, tennis, arts and crafts and other activities.

Holiday Camps Recap Holiday Camps were a success. Most days, camps were completely full with up to 45 children participating in all day camps. The kids especially enjoyed their lessons in tennis, squash and racquetball, but also enjoyed games of soccer, basketball, and relay races. They created many fun holiday arts and crafts. The MAC welcomed a couple new camp counselors this holiday. They did a fantastic job and are looking forward to spring and summer camps.

MAC to Host the Second Annual Women’s Doubles Squash St. Louis Open “We are delighted to host the WDSA Ladies St. Louis Open again this year. It is a fantastic opportunity for our members to see the highest level of ladies doubles in the world first hand. Hopefully, we will get a great turnout to watch, and this will motivate some of our junior girls to work hard on their games and strive to reach this level,” said Adam Bews, MAC Director of Squash.

The MAC is proud to host the second annual professional Women’s Doubles Squash St. Louis Open tournament on Feb. 27 through March 1. At this event, the top women’s doubles players in the world will compete at the West Clubhouse. Among them will be last year’s winners, world #1 Narelle Krizek, and her sister #4 Natarsha McElhinny, who return to defend their titles. Krizek founded the tour in 2007.

The tour’s mission is to promote and develop the game of women’s doubles squash and support local and urban junior squash programs. In its 2014-15 season, the tour will include more than ten tournaments in major squash venues throughout the United States and Canada. The MAC is proud to rank among these prestigious venues. Good Fellowship Day

Started as the Hall of Health’s Year End Jamboree in the 1930s, Good Fellowship Day brings together members young and old to celebrate the spirit and camaraderie of the Club.

This is a great opportunity, especially for new members, to check out all of the athletic and fitness amenities at the Club, while interacting with other members. The workout classes are fun for skilled athletes and anyone who wants to try something new. After working up an appetite, enjoy a complimentary buffet lunch and beer.

Leo Stolz and Morgan Brian Awarded the 2014 MAC Hermann Trophy On Friday, Jan. 9, Virginia senior midfielder Morgan Brian and UCLA senior midfielder Leo Stolz were honored as the 2014 MAC Hermann Trophy award winners.

Brian is the eighth player overall to win back-to-back Herman trophies, and the first female player to accomplish the feat since 11-time Canada Soccer Player of the Year Christine Sinclair in 2004 and 2005. Runners-up for the women’s award were Florida State senior midfielder Dagny Brynjarsdottir and UCLA senior midfielder Sam Mewis.

Stolz, a 2013 MAC Hermann Trophy finalist, played an integral part in leading the Bruins through the NCAA Men’s Division I Tournament to national runners-up status. Runners-up for the men’s award were Syracuse junior goalkeeper Alex Bono and North Carolina senior forward Andy Craven.

MAC members Greg and Annie Beekman co-chaired the event. Bill McDermott, as known as “Mr. Soccer,” was the master of ceremonies. He provided a summary of the heroes and villains from the past World Cup year and shared a hilarious video spoof about goalkeeper Scott Sterling repeatedly stopping the 22 F Cherry Diamond F FEBRUARY 2015

ball with his face. The crowd roared with laughter as Sterling became more injured.

For Brian, nicknamed “Moe,” UVA assistant coach Ron Raab praised her creativity and ability to handle the ball well under pressure. He noted that she always plays with a smile on her face, and appears the happiest when she is on the field. She has the ability to make the players around her perform better. He said, “I’m proud of her as a player and a person.”

During Brian’s acceptance speech, she thanked the Missouri Athletic Club, the University of Virginia, her coaching staff, teammates, and parents.

Stolz’s head coach used the phrases “full potential” and “competitive greatness” to describe him. He went from scoring zero goals his sophomore year to 14 goals his junior year, changed positions, and achieved his full potential.

Stolz personally congratulated all of the finalists during his acceptance speech and thanked his grandfather in attendance for supporting him and representing his entire family from Germany at the event.

To close the event, McDermott interviewed 1994 Hermann Trophy winner,

Todd Yeagley. Yeagley advised collegiate players to stay focused on their strengths and to be adaptable on the playing field.

The Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy is presented to the best female and male players in NCAA Division I soccer. The winners were decided by a vote of NCAA Division I soccer coaches that are current College Services members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

A few days later she was the #1 overall draft pick by the Houston Dash of the National Women’s Soccer League.

Yeagley Returns to the Hermann Trophy 20 Years Later Twenty years ago, Indiana University midfielder Todd Yeagley was recognized as the top player in college soccer and he received the crystal soccer ball trophy. On Jan. 9, Yeagley returned to the Missouri Athletic Club for the 2014 MAC Hermann Trophy Awards as one of the top coaches in college soccer, having made his mark at his alma mater.

As a player, his father, the legendary Jerry Yeagley, coached Todd.

He was a four-time All-American at Indiana (1991-94). During his stint as a student-athlete in Bloomington, Yeagley was a two-time Academic AllBig Ten honoree. He led the Hoosiers to three Big Ten titles (1991, 1992, 1994) and a 79-9-5 overall record.

Following his collegiate career, Yeagley enjoyed a successful seven-year career in Major League Soccer playing for the Columbus Crew. He helped Columbus advance to the MLS playoffs five times and wine the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 2002.

He bean coaching as an assistant at Indiana before being named head

coach at Wisconsin. Following one season with the Badgers, he was named Indiana’s head coach on Dec. 18, 2009.

Yeagley’s first year was a memorable one as he led Indiana to its first Big Ten regular season title since 2007 as well as its third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament round 16. He earned his first Big Ten Coach of the Year Award.

In just his third season as head coach, Yeagley led Indiana to the 2012 NCAA title, the eighth championship in IU history. The Hoosiers became the first No. 16 seed to win the championship.

Yeagley was named 2012 Soccer American Coach of the Year as he and his father became the only father-soon duo to have won Division I men’s soccer championships.

His work is displayed in many galleries and businesses throughout the St. Louis area, and his studio also reproduces prints for artists.

Children’s Etiquette Training Classes The MAC is excited to offer our children’s etiquette classes in February, taught by MAC member Melenie Broyles of Etiquette Saint Louis. The class is a fun way to learn about first impressions, speaking to adults, club behavior, table manners and more.
