Thegoal of our efforts is to find the best Miss Ohio and potential Miss America. This responsibility rests solely in the hands or our distinguished judges. When the contestants appear before them in the various competitions these judges will consider their attributes and their ability to represent the ideal American woman. A woman with dignity, poise, charm and beauty, as well as the necessary intellect, education and talent to carry Ohio’s hopes to the coveted Crown of Miss America.
The Miss America Pageant is not looking for a beauty queen; there are dozens in every state. We are seeking a woman capable of symbolizing American ideals and standards while carrying out this responsibility in the interest of her country.
