Autumn
Edit or's Notes As we launch the autumn issue of Luminary we hope to share some positivity with you during this time of fear and uncertainty. It's important to stay up to date with the news but for the sake of our mental health we need to find some good during this intense time. For us, we love that we have been able to slow down and connect with ourselves, our loved ones and that we finally have the time to start those projects we've been wanting to tackle for ages. Hopefully you can find the time to relax and read that book that has been collecting dust or maybe read that pretty online magazine that has landed in your inbox.
On page 38, Sarah Halloran from The Natural Virtue shares her views on how we can find balance and recharge ourselves by doing the things that spark happiness. It's important to remember that although we might be physically isolated we don’t need to be emotionally or spiritually isolated. We hope our digital magazine brings you a pleasant distraction and helps to keep you entertained over the Easter break. Sending you lots of positive vibes and wishing our Luminary tribe the very best.

Loving
The Dream
Having my own bricks and mortar shop front has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. With my floristry background I always thought I was going to have a florist shop but my dream shifted along with my growing fashion label.
You can only imagine how many people have an opinion on the downfalls of opening a store and have said “these days it can all be done online.” Rightly or wrongly there is something in my DNA where I can’t stand being told what to do. If there is a fire in my belly it just needs to be quenched.
For me there is something so incredibly special about connecting with my customers. Hearing their individual stories about how they are feeling and being able to help them in real time is difficult to do online. Helping my customers style an outfit is something I find especially rewarding.

ISSUE#1
Only 4 weeks after opening the doors to my gorgeous little boutique Covid-19 kicked in. Could the timing be any worse? Now I can't help but hear all the 'friendly advise' I was given about opening a shop.
It was a tough decision on whether to stay open. Ultimately it was my decision to close the shop to protect myself, my family and my local community from any extra unnecessary spread of this terrible virus. With my small store being so heavily supported by the local community I just hope when this unprecedented time passes that I can reopen the doors. My customers are truly amazing and they go out of their way to support me and buy that little gift for their friend or treat for themselves (shhh‌ sometimes the husbands don’t know!). I just cant wait to reopen the doors to shop life!

Creating Calm With
Crystals
Crystals are said to have physical, emotional and spiritual healing properties. Each separate crystal is believed to have individual attributes for healing.
Regardless of whether you believe in their healing properties we have seen a rise in their popularity. There has been a surge of crystals being used in homewares, beauty and of course jewellery.
We love a pop of colour and if we are benefiting from healing properties as well it's an added bonus! In light of the current pandemic all positive vibes are a good thing.

How To Create Four Looks With A Tee If you are like us you will have a drawer full of t-shirts but it can be a struggle to find the perfect shape to go with your outfit. We have put together a few ways to style your tee to flatter your waistline and vary your look.
Th e Tie
Tie your t-shirt off to the side, you can loosen the knot once it's tied to make it sit lower or below your waistline. Roll any excess fabric underneath the shirt.
The Loop
This works well when you have an oversized t-shirt. Grab the excess fabric and pull it through the belt loop of your jeans. You will be suprised how quick and easy this is.
Sleeve Roll For an edgier or rock and roll look, try rolling or tucking your sleeves under to dramatically change the look of your tee. You can roll the sleeves right up to the seam to create a muscle shirt.
French Tuck
Tuck the side of your t-shirt into your bottoms. It looks best if it's tucked in somewhere between your belly button and hip. This also looks great with a baggy t-shirt that you want to give some shape to.

Wellness
Coming Back To You by Sarah Halloran
I don’t think I’m alone in saying that the last couple of months have been intense causing an uncomfortable energy for a lot of people. With lots going on in the world, it’s important to come back to our centre, to recharge when we can, to allow ourselves to feel whatever is going on for us and to commit to the things that spark us up.
Thankfully, during this time, I got my hands on an amazing book called “Super Attractor” that really helped me to shift gears. Written by the amazing Gabby Bernstein, who is a thought leader and powerhouse woman, the book helped me to understand how important it is to shift our attention from what’s weighing us down, to what can weigh us up. Gabby says that in order to get back to your true nature, (your spirit), you have to link back up to the feelgood things, and the faster we can bring ourselves to do that, the less chance our melancholy states can stick.
Feel good things bring us into a higher frequency, they help us to remember who we are, and it's the very things that light us up, that bring us back to ourselves.
Since reading this book, whenever I’m feeling out of balance, or not quite myself, I think of ways that I can lift my vibration. Some of the first things that come to mind are:

• Watch a warm heartfelt movie • Log into an online dance or yoga class • Get out in nature • Put on an inspiring podcast • Journal it out, writing is my biggest expression and I almost immediately feel better after I write • Go for a long walk on the beach • Call or FaceTime a friend for a good vent and for some support
If I’m feeling out of balance, I also try really hard to avoid all the things that can be triggering and un-helpful, such as: • Any media - online, tv etc • Very limited time on social media, or no time at all • Drinking alcohol • Eating unhealthy foods that do not make me feel good
It’s not always easy when we are stressed or feeling off to make self-help decisions, but if you can bring yourself to understand that a negative feeling is only balanced by a positive one, then we can see how vital it is to choose a positive, self-loving decisions for ourselves. I am also a true believer that when we lift our vibration we not only lift it for ourselves, we lift if for the entire planet.

I hope these tips help you to go easy on yourself and remember, that it is okay to feel overwhelmed, sad and confused at times in this crazy journey of life, but as Gabby says in her book, once you’ve given yourself permission to feel, you have the choice to choose again.Wishing you a feel-good year, a supercharged you, and all the love and kindness you can be to yourself. Cute Ideas With Eggs
Use what you have around the house to create some Easter cheer. We've filled eggs with succulents and some hand picked flowers.
We had fun experimenting with painting and dying eggs. We found red cabbage and blueberries worked really well. Simply boil fruit or vegetable for 30 mins and then add the eggs. Leave the eggs until they reach the desired colour, we left ours overnight.
Acrylic paint works equally as well and is a much quicker process.
