POINTS FOR PRAYER NIGERIA
PAMELA, MUSA & GRACIE GAIYA
The Gaiyas are grateful for good health and strength. Even as the rains fnish this month pray for a good harvest of crops particularly in Plateau State.
Strategic Planning continues for Pamela at ACTS; it has been a very proftable time for management to address and pinpoint important issues. Pamela celebrated her 30th anniversary with Mission Africa at ACTS in September. Please remember to support her anniversary project if possible.
The University of Jos has started another academic year. Pray Musa would know God’s help in his teaching.
Gracie has October break 16th-20th; pray for a refreshing break after a busy frst quarter in Grade 8 (Year 10).
SAMANTHA, GODFREY, HEPHZIBAH & MELKI IBIA
Godfrey and I are so thankful to God for his faithfulness during our transition to Enugu State. Please continue to pray for us to settle into this new environment quickly.
Pray for Hephzibah and Melki in their
new school that they would make friends fast and that they would get used to a new school system.
Pray for our Fellowship of Christian Students work here, that God would give us wisdom so we can impact the lives of the young people here.
MARK NIXON
Join Mark in thanking God:
• For the start of the new regular college semester.
• For ongoing opportunities to visit village churches and preach the Gospel.
• That farmers are happy for the regular rain aiding them in food production
• That the stability in Ankpa despite economic hardships.
Join Mark in asking God for:
• The problems regarding water; drinking water in particular, which have become even more problematic.
• Staff and students, that they would be provided with the daily necessities such as electricity and water.
• New students to settle in well.
• Safety when travelling to the various churches that Mark visits and that Mark will be a blessing to those around him.
• The economic situation in Nigeria as infation (caused by a signifcant increase in the price of fuel) means that people’s money buys less.
• Help as Mark prepares and delivers lectures to the students. He is teaching some new courses.

BRIAN WILSON
Brian thanks God for the recent visit by Lauren Mornin of the Mission Africa Offce to PACT, along with Victor Akoh whom Mission Africa support. He is also thankful to God for the appointment of Paul Wright as Mission Africa Chief Executive Offcer. We wish him joy and God’s blessings in this role.
6th October will, God willing, be a historic day for PACT - its 60th Anniversary. Thank God for His faithfulness to PACT over these years. Pray that this will be a happy and memorable occasion for the College - and ask that PACT will have a key role in training people to serve Christ in the United Evangelical Church.
Brian also thanks God for Mission Africa’s PACT’s 60th Anniversary grant which will go towards the completion of the Library Renovation Project. Pray that good progress will be made and that everything will advance towards a newly renovated library serving staff and students to God’s glory.
GODWIN, GAIL & ANGEL EKANEM
Pray for Angel as she adapts again to the Nigerian system of education. Pray for Gail as she focuses on teaching at WWTC and on completing her book. Pray for Godwin as he still suffers with plantar fasciitis.
Pray for both Godwin and Gail who have some preaching/speaking engagements this month.
Pray for the UEC National Annual Convention taking place in Uyo from 27th to 29th October. Pray that God would use this three-day outreach to revive his Church and bring unbelievers to salvation.

KATIE MORRISON
Pray for the children in the primary and secondary schools at Holley Memorial School as they come into a new academic term. Pray for their families as they strive to provide their school fees

Pray for Acacia as a new group of women starts the Rahab Programme at the Centre. Pray for the team to work well together and have enough time to prep well.
Pray for Lisa who is coming for 10 months with Acacia. Pray the Morrisons can help her through the cultural adjustments and fnd her place at Acacia.
Pray for the Deborah Programme and that the women can be a blessing to the street girls. Pray that the girls would show up and be engaged with the programme
JEREMY & RACHEL NASH
Pray for Jeremy as he maintains the compound and Rachel as she runs the offce and guest-house. Jeremy would particularly like to know where he can get involved in ministry through the Explorers Club and possibly through flm ministry, he brought a projector out with him.
Continue to pray for the ministry in Burkina Faso under the Association Gamaliel. Pray that each centre would run an effective training day and incorporate people who are new to the ministry; particularly how to obtain permission from a school and how to get the local church involved. It is also a time to encourage
one another through showing how God worked last year.
KENYA KATHRYN LINDSAY
Praise God that Kathryn has made some great friends and is feeling settled and at home in Kenya.
Continue to pray for opportunities with the PCEA to open up in Thogoto Parish (it’s a slow process!) And that God would lead and guide Kathryn towards the projects she should get involved with.
Pray too for the building team from Ballydown Presbyterian and the Lurgan College School Team coming out later this month. Pray that God would prepare their hearts in advance of their trip, for their preparations, their travel and safety, for spiritual growth, and for those that they come into contact with - that they will come to know Christ as Saviour, grow deeply in God’s love and glorify God in their lives!

Ana gives thanks for the way the ongoing preparations are going regarding the new posting. She asks prayer for those responsible for the preparations in the Ivory Coast.

ROBBIE TOOP
Pray for all those who served on Summer Teams or completed their Electives in Kenya. Pray that as they refect on their summer in Africa, they will not forget God’s call to service.
Pray for Robbie and Margaret as they
have the privilege of debriefng team members who live in Scotland.
Give thanks to God for the follow through from the summer Keswick Events which have resulted in a few speaking opportunities.
Pray also for those who have taken Child Sponsorship information and those who have signed up for regular mission commun ications. Robbie would also appreciate prayer for planning the winter session.

MISSION AFRICA NEWS
Continue to pray for Council as they seek God’s guidance for the future of the Mission. Pray also for our new CEO, Paul Wright as continues to settle in.
Our summer teams and elective debrief day takes place on 14th October. Remember them as they think and refect about their time in Kenya, but also for the people in Africa who they met and have shown the love of Jesus to. Pray that those who have heard the Gospel will come to know Jesus as their Saviour.
Pray for the team from Ballydown Presbyterian Church who will be travelling to Kenya on 15th October. During their time, they will be participating in a number of building projects including the renovation of the kitchen and staff housing at Thogoto Home for the Aged. Pray for the team as they travel, for daily strength and stamina as they work but also for exciting opportunities to share the Gospel.
A team of pupils and teachers from Lurgan College, County Armagh will also be travelling to Kenya this month. They fy out on 28th October and will be involved in a variety of schools ministry at Comet School along with visiting Thogoto Home for the Aged. Pray for this team as they make their fnal preparations. Pray as they travel and pray for the children, young people and adults that they will come into contact with, that they will be able to share the love of Jesus through practical ways and that hearts will be challenged.

Mission Africa Prayer Day
Our annual Prayer Day will be taking place on Saturday 25th November from 10am to 1pm in Belfast Bible College. A light lunch will be served afterwards. If you are able to join us, we would love to see you there!
