ANNOUNCEMENTS & EVENTS
We invite you to join us on Saturday 21st June for our June Celebration and Teams Commissioning Service at Newtownbreda Baptist Church, Belfast at 7PM.

Our monthly Zoom meeting will be taking place on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7pm. You would be most welcome to join us.
As of April, we have switched across to a new database system and therefore we would ask for your patience and understand-ing as we navigate this transition. Your giving will still be processed and reciepts still sent out, it might just take us a longer to do this.

Gaiya Family - Pamela continues to settle into her role at ACTS again. Pray for the new staff to know the Lord’s enabling and encouragement. Pray for Gracie as she is on the home-stretch for completing Grade 9. Her exams are 26-28 May.
This week has been a busy week of important church meetings for Musa which conclude today (2nd). Pray for God’s wisdom and strength as these are challenging days for the church. Pray that God’s glory would shine bright.
With recent killings on the outskirts of Jos, the Gaiya’s are glad that things are calm in the city of Jos. Pray for those affected by this violence, particularly families who have lost loved ones. Pray for protection over lives and properties.
Ekanem Family - Praise God for the recovery of our students from WWTC, though the trauma and injuries sustained, it may take some more time to completely heal. While one died on the day of the accident, it could have been much worse.
Pray for comfort for the bereaved family as they prepare for the burial. The Ekanems thank God for Mission Africa’s fnancial assistance which enabled them to respond swiftly towards the medical care of some of the worst cases.
Pray for Angel who has an entrance exam on 1st May. Pray for Gail and Angel as they will be home for 3 weeks to visit Gail’s parents and to attend her nephew’s wedding.
Pray for Godwin as he travels to Abuja to process Mark Nixon’s CERPAC. Pray also for the village outreach planned for Monday 19th May.
Ibia Family - Pray for the Ibia family as they have received news that they have been transferred again and we will be going back to Jos. They will be moving by the end of July. Pray for strength in all that needs to be done in preparing for this move.
As they prepare to fnish with FCS in Enugu in May, pray especially for the secondary schools where they have been working through a leadership programme. Pray as they come to the end, that each student will be able to lead well.
Mark Nixon - Mark asks that you join with him in praying for the ongoing process of his CERPAC and work permit. He has been granted a temporary stay until it has been offcially granted. Pray for Godwin as he helps with this process.
Mark will be in Abuja in May and June assisting in the Summer School of the college. He will be teaching New Testament theology as well as the Gospel of John and will also be leading the spiritual formation sessions each Wednesday.
Pray for Mark as he travels regularly, pray for safetly as although some of the roads have seen improvement, many of the roads that he travels on are not good.
CHAD
Morrison Family - Give thanks that David & Lucy welcomed their 3rd daughter; Amy Hope Morrison on 16th April. Give thanks for her safe arrival and pray for their family as they adjust to life as a family of 5.
IVORY COAST
Ana van Brakel - Ana has been teaching the Undergraduate students on the General Letters which now resumes after the Easter break too. Give thanks for teaching material which she has found helpful in preparing for these lessons.
KENYA
Reuben will be travelling to Kenya this month to partner with Gracepoint and Iserve for 3 months. Sarah will be spending 5 weeks in Karai Children’s Home and Ruth and Ellen will spend 3 weeks in Chigoria Hospital
Amy will be at the Cardiac Clinic in May for tests for a heart murmur. Pray that this appointment will go well and that God would provide strength to David and Lucy at this worrying time.
Pray for those who are covering David’s position in the TEAM offce in Chad while David is on Home Assignment. Pray that they would feel God’s presence in their work and that they would not feel overwhelmed.
Continue to pray for the Dagara pastors as they help deal with the localised famine in their areas.
Pray also for an improvement in the security situation throughout Burkina Faso.
Ana is involved in some of the administration tasks for the college. Pray for strength and wisdom in the decisions that she has to make. She will also be sorting the syllabus for the next term of lessons.
Continue to pray that Ana’s long-term visa would fnally come through. It has been approved, the paperwork is just taking some time to come through to her. Pray for patience as she waits.
Pray for each of these 4 short termers as they travel and adjust to the Kenyan culture. Pray as they build relationships and share the Gospel in each of their ministries.
Pray for the Gamaliel Association and for the teachers who run the Explorers Club. Pray for wisdom and creativity as they prepare each lesson and for the children who come, that they will put their trust in Him.
SCOTLAND
Robbie Toop -Thank you for your prayers for meetings in Gardenstown, Peterhead and Gourock. The Lord encouraged Robbie & Margaret through the folks that they met and shared with.
Pray for the Toops planned tour of meetings on the Isle of Lewis Pray for good connections and worthwhile conversations with those interested in God’s work through Mission Africa.
BURKINA FASO

Pray with us as we plan a “Meet ’n Greet” with Coffee, Cake & Prayer next month for Janet Martin before she leaves for Holley Hospital, Nigeria in July.
Pray for the board of Mission Africa, that as they look to the future of the mission, God would be in the center of all their plans. Pray for wisdom in all the decisions that they need to make. .
Janet Martin has been accepted for service in Nigeria for 6 months. She will be based at Holley Memorial Hospital. Janet previously served in Nigeria in the 70’s. Pray for Janet as she begins to make preparations to travel.
We have identifed three specifc needs and opportunites in Nigeria and Chad for long-term service. Pray that God would be stirring the hearts of people who are willing to start their story in serving Him.
