The next Dispatch magazine is now available. Read through it and give thanks for all that God is doing through the work of MA.

For the month of April, why not spend 30 seconds each day praying through this prayer monthly for our partners and projects. Our monthly Zoom meeting will be taking place on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7pm. You would be most welcome to join us.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & EVENTS

‘He is not here; he has risen!” Luke 24:6

The Mission Africa Offces will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. We want to wish all our supporters, friends, missionaries, partners and staff a very happy and blessed Easter.

Mission Africa June CelebrationThis year’s June Celebration and Teams Commissioning will be held on 21 st June in Newtownbreda Baptist Church. More details will follow next month, but put the date in your calendars!

As of this month, we have recently switched across to a new database system and therefore we would ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this transition. Your giving will still be processed and reciepts still sent out, it might just take us a longer to do this.

If you have received the incorrect mailing this month, please do let us know and we can update our records. If you would prefer to recieve communications from us through email, please email news@missionafrica.org.uk and we will make the relevant adjustments.

Gaiya Family - Give thanks for the Lord’s comforting presence. As temperatures rise higher before the rains come pray for daily strength and stamina. Pray for blessings on and encouragements in their respective work places.

Pray for Pamela as she settles into her inventory management work at ACTS. Pray for a good understanding of the working of the software. Pray for those who will assist and work alongside her.

Musa has important church meetings scheduled for the last week in April. Please pray for the Lord’s presence and that everyone involved would know wisdom and strength.

Continue to remember Gracie who currently has a heavy workload in Grade 9 at Hillcrest school.

Ekanem Family - Pray for Gail as she rounds up her lectures at WWTC for this semester by end of April. Pray for the Saturday Kids’ Clubs for the various age groups.

Pray for Godwin as he travels from 10th-12th to meet with the Board of Holley Memorial Hospital. Pray for the outreach programmes over the Easter period (16th, 17th & 18th). He will be preaching in a local church on Easter Sunday.

Pray for Angel as she works towards entrance exams for secondary school. Pray for grace to do the necessary hard work involved.

Ibia Family - Pray for the schools that we are visiting and as we come to the end of the term for Easter break. We have had a great time this term and are grateful that God is strengthening relationships!

Continue to pray for many students who have responded over the term. There are currently so many different issues facing the youth. Pray God’s protection over them.

Pray for us as we travel to Jos for a program just after Easter. Pray for safety and a successful programme and that God’s hand would be seen throughout it.

Mark Nixon - Give thanks that Mark’s visa was approved. It was a quick turnaround and Mark arrived back in Nigeria on 20th March. Pray for him as he adjusts and settles into life in Ankpa.

Pray for engagement opportunities that Mark is hoping to be involved in over the next number of weeks, which include a student led programme of evangelism and a College graduation ceremony.

Pray for plans that have been affected by the delay in Mark’s return to Nigeria. Pray that God’s plan will be evident.

CHAD

Morrison Family - Pray for Lucy to have a safe delivery (due date 18th April) and that the girls will adjust well to their new sibling. Continue to pray for Sophie in her temporary school to be a light and enjoy her days.

Pray for Fati as she launches the apprenticeship stage of Ruth and teaches the women how to sew clothes. Pray they respond well and cope with earning less money as they make fewer items with more of a focus on learning.

Pray for the leadership team of TEAM Chad as they commit to video call together weekly. Pray for David’s role in this team of 3.

Pray for Ana and those she teaches as she continues to prepare and present new material.

Our 3rd session of Come See Go Tell has just fnished. Pray for those who are attending each month and beginning to prepare for going to Africa this summer. Pray that this won’t just be a summer trip for them, but transformation!

Ana van Brakel - Pray for Ana and others at the College as they cope with practical diffculties such as a lack of water.

IVORY COAST KENYA

Continue to remember Leah & Elizabeth as they serve on a medical elective in Kenya. Jonathan has just recently returned home from his elective. Pray for him as he refects on his time in Kenya and as he adjusts to life back home.

Pray for Ana as she undertakes new responsibilities to help students and the future of the College

Pray for the Gamaliel Association and for the teachers who run the Explorers Club. Pray for wisdom and creativity as they prepare each lesson and for the children who come, that they will put their trust in Him.

Give thanks that discussions have already taken place with key partners in Kenya for summer ‘25 which is part of MA’s ethos of true partnership and fellowship in the Gospel.

Continue to pray for the Dagara pastors as they help deal with the localised famine in their areas.

Pray also for an improvement in the security situation throughout Burkina Faso.

BURKINA FASO

Give thanks for the many opportunities to share about the work of Mission Africa across Scotland. Pray as he makes plans and prepares for each of these meetings.

GENERAL

Pray for the board of Mission Africa, that as they look to the future of the mission, God would be in the center of all their plans. They are meeting together in early April for a strategic planning afternoon.

Robbie will be speaking on the following dates;

• Sunday 6th at New Church, Gardenstown

• Sunday 6th at Peterhead Baptist Church

• Wednesday 9th, midweek meeting at Ham- ilton Baptist (Robbie’s home church)

Robbie asks that you pray as they prepare to take meetings on the Isle of Lewis during the week of 11-18 May. This will be a new opportunity for Mission Africa.

Remember the offce staff as they are currently thinking about and preparing for the events of the summer. Pray for wisdom in all the decisions needing made.

We have identifed two specifc needs and opportunites in Nigeria for long-term service. Pray that God would be stirring the hearts of people who are willing to start their story in serving Him in Africa.

‘Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.’
